It went on sale the day after a bought it, and Best Buy gave a refund when I contacted them about getting a price match. Great customer service !

Lockups can be due to defective hardware but are more often caused by software issues. The most reliable and quick way to determine if a problem is caused by hardware or a software or configuration issue is to perform a Windows Reset, returning the software installation and configuration to factory condition.

I was told there was nothing I could do to fix it because the computer was not really compatible with the Windows 10. I was very disappointed when I returned it trying to get something different and was told nothing was really available unless I wanted to spend twice the price.

I just want a computer to keep up with my typing without pausing and or starting my words in the middle of another paragraph randomly! NOT HAPPY!

This model is equipped with an Intel Core i3 processor and 6GB of RAM, which would normally be considered fully capable of handling typical day-to-day consumer computing needs such as email, social media, web browsing, and office productivity programs.
Depending on how long you've had the unit, one thing to note regarding initial performance of a new computer is that Windows Update may be busy downloading & installing updates. That's typically the case with brand new systems, and if so it will tax initial performance until the updating process is completed.
That said, your mention of the cursor being unexpectedly repositioned sounds like something that could probably be resolved by adjusting Mouse/Touchpad preferences. Please see the Toshiba Forums community knowledge base article and embedded video at forums.toshiba.com/t5/Keyboards-Touchpads-Knowledge/How-do-I-change-my-touchpad-settings-and-features-on-Windows-10/ta-p/426593 for help with configuring touchpad responsiveness and features to your preferences.
