Please let us know the URL or location of any error in the weight specification of this model. Regarding the power button placement, considering the flexible operational modes (laptop, tent, tablet, etc.), I think the power button is where it belongs. The Quick Start card that came with the unit also indicates the location of the power button, but kudos to you for successfully using Google to find it.

Horrible Laptop Please don't buy

I can't believe brand new laptop has this problem. Very poor customer service no body knows what they are talking. This laptop was bought for my parents who are residing in india, now warranty cannot be transferred. Why don't you say just US warrant or some thing like that. I wish I could have bought DeLL :(

This model is equipped with Intel Core i3-5015U Processor and 6GB of RAM which should be fully capable of handling typical day-to-day consumer computing needs such as email, social media, and general web browsing.
I wonder how long you've had this unit and if perhaps Windows Update has been busy downloading & installing updates. That's typically the case with brand new systems, and if so it will tax initial performance until the updating process is completed.
If you feel that you're not getting the appropriate performance for this hardware configuration, please contact Toshiba support at 800-457-7777.

I understand that you already returned the product, and rightfully so as the symptom you described seems to most likely be a hardware defect. Sorry to hear that you apparently felt compelled to purchase a different model based on your experience, but hope that it's a Toshiba and that you're happy with the new unit.
