Not satisfied with this computer. Toshiba has made some great products but this model is slower than older models in my opinion. Also the finish scratches very easily.

Could not even get past the set up process as I received a DPC_Watchdog_Violation error which has been common among Windows 8-10 users. I hopefully can get it exchanged

I am returning this laptop ASAP. I only had Facebook opened and I tried to go into You Tube to try to play a music video. It was a low graphic video and it kept buffering even though I was not far from my wireless router. My cell phone loaded faster by far. This computer does not have a back lit keyboard either as shown in specs/video. I am not impressed by this expensive what is to be a high performance laptop.

    Defunct

This product sucks! The hinges broke off due to normal usage. I've only had the computer since October 2015 and it doesn't work anymore. When I called customer support they say that the hinges are not included under warranty and they want me to send it to some place in California who is going to charge me $250 just to get it fixed. I might as well buy a new laptop from a company that is going to stand behind their warranty.

    Works good at first...

I bought this computer in January 2016. I used the computer for two months and it worked well. In March the touchscreen stopped working and I could not reinstall the driver. The laptop no longer recognized my touch screen and I do not have any "pen and touch" settings. The whole reason I bought this laptop was to use Windows 10 with the touchscreen. Toshiba was not helpful at all with helping fix my computer and the touchscreen is useless to this day. To add insult to injury I had my laptop in a padded briefcase on my kitchen table, the briefcase fell 3 ft and the aluminum case was bent and the screen cracked. This laptop is junk from the inside out! Avoid!

Thank you for the review, toshibabrookfield, and sorry to hear about the Windows boot issue with your Satellite E45W-C4200X.

Since you mention spending 4 hours installing software, one possibility is that one of the programs added has somehow corrupted Windows. The most straightforward way to determine whether it's a software or hardware issue is to perform a Windows Reset. See the Toshiba Forums community knowledge base article at forums.toshiba.com/t5/System-Recovery-and-Recovery/How-do-I-reset-my-Windows-10-computer-to-factory-defaults/ta-p/657990 for more details and instructions.

If the problem persists after a Windows Reset, I recommend contacting Technical Support at 800-457-7777.

Thanks again for the feedback and sorry for the trouble. Toshiba

Had to return after 2 days

The Good: Love the look it honestly has potential to be a great computer! Maybe the laptop I received was just a dud.. The Bad: Lasted me two days before having to take back. The Ugly: I had high hopes for this computer as the people in Best Buy really sold me on how this product was seemingly better than the other "cheaper" computers. I spent nearly 500 dollars on this laptop for it to only last me two days. I was excited about the touch screen feature, but when I went to go use the feature it did not work. The computer would sometimes glitch and spaz out when trying to scroll down... I am still unsure if I want to exchange or just return the laptop and stick to my school "craptop" that I already had before making this purchase.

    Surprisingly slow

I bought the Toshiba Satellite Radius 14 about six months ago to replace an aging Dell Inspiron 15R. I upgraded the Toshiba's RAM to 16GB. It is much slower than the Inspiron, which only has 4GB of memory. Both are running Windows 10 64-bit. I am not pleased with the Toshiba. Also, don't use Paypal checkout on the Best Buy website. It didn't work properly, and then I was charged twice. The second charge was eventually reversed, but it took more than a week for that to happen.

I loved this laptop, however it did not last 3 weeks the screen started blinking/flickering then after a couple of days decided not to boot up. Black screen. :-( I needed this for school, I just started a Masters degree program.
