Customers have good things to say about the Archer BE19000's setup, range, performance, and ease of use, with many praising its WiFi 7 capabilities and modern design. The router's extensive port selection, including high-speed options, also receives positive feedback. However, some customers note that the router is larger than expected and that the price point is relatively high. The strong signal strength is frequently mentioned as a positive aspect.

I am reluctantly going to give this 5 stars becuase this router does everything it says it will and the performance is excellent. My reticence with 5 stars is due to the price/value proposition. $600 MSRP seems a bit outlandish for a device like this so I considered only giving four stars, but I did not think that would be fair for an excellent device. This is cutting edge WiFi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) technology so a premium is being charged at present for us early adopters. But once the price comes down a bit or the unit goes on sale, I will rescind my reluctance to go 5 stars.
Details:
- Unbocking this unit was a real treat. I usually don't really care much about packaging (as long it protects whatever it is I am buying and looks halfway decent), but I must admit that this came in one heckuva nice package. I guess premium prices deserves a premium package)
- Performance was excellent. I do not have a WiFi7 device yet, but it worked great on my WiFi 6e (802.11ax) laptop as well as my older WiFi 5/4 devices - many operationg on the 2.4 GHz bands. My Smart Home lights, cameras, bulbs, doorbell, plugs work great. I have a older Roku device in a guest bedroom far away from the centrally located router in myt ~3000 square foot typical colonial home that has some trouble and I may get an EasyMesh device for that. I am looking forward to trying that out as opposed to a clunky solution where I had repurposed an older router as an access point. So that is a positive.
- Speaking of older devices, I like the fact that this unit can combine the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks under one SSID for seamless operations.
- This may be somewhat standard now, but I also like the way you can set up to have this router automatically reboot periodically to "cleanse" it.
- This unit is really large. It also states it should be placed in the vertical position. I didn't like that since now the top of my router is visible to the naked high place high on an entertainment center. But I can live with it.
- Because I do not care to view the router, I did not play around with the LED lights on the front of the router. Quite frankly, they seemed frivolous and I would have omitted them to save $, but some people may get a kick of it.
- I also did not use the "Tether App". All my setup is done via the web based interface. I simply prefer using a full size keyboard and mouse when setting up devices and I do not plan to sit on my couch with my phone or tablet to configure or troubleshoot the router. But the web interface is fine.
- Oh BTW - set up was very simple. I guess I take that for granted but I was up and running with this very quickly.
So all in all, this is a great device for early adopters. You may need a mesh device if your house is much bigger than 3000 square feet, and I probably will get an Easy Mesh device. But this is an excellent product which I am happy to have.

As a TP-Link user since they have been selling in the US, the BE800 is not quite ready for prime time. I knew there would be some problems, but not this many. My TP-Link AX6600 & AXE7800 provide a much more constant and superior speed from a 1 gig fiber connection than the BE800. The AX6600 & AXE7800 always provide a constant wired and wireless speed of about 1.1 - 1.2. The BE800 would not do this. Also, when our Moto Edge 2022's were connected to the BE800 they locked up and battery drain went from lasting 3 days on a charge to less than a day.
I liked the looks of the BE800 & build quality was very good.
May try the BE900 when it becomes available.

TP Link seems to be the wireless router brand that is first to get the newest technologies out on the market. This is one of the first available Wi-Fi 7 standard routers I’ve seen available and so far I’m impressed!
My incoming connection is fiber and I have a 1 gig plan. I also have a connected PC that is used as a windows based NAS which is connected via ethernet. I have both Wi-Fi 6 and 6E devices. The 6E devices are the only ones capable of connecting to the 6ghz band, but note that the Wi-Fi 6 devices get very similar link speeds to the router. 2.4Gbps seems to be the common max speed which is over double the ethernet speed on a wired connection. I did a transfer test from my PC to my NAS and consistently held transfer rates around 93-98 Gbps which is the throughput max of 1gbps ethernet on my NAS but all over Wi-Fi from my desktop.
Connecting the router to the network was very easy. You download the tether app and follow the instructions for connecting your router. The process is fairly simple and you get very clear onscreen instructions. The power adapter isn’t too large but the plug for the outlet is of the “brick” layout which covers up other outlets in a power strip which I despise. Outside of that peeve, the router is a bit large. I don’t mind it but compared to more petite mesh type routers, this may be a bit large for you. I’d say given the antennae are internal, this is likely the reason for the size.
I recommend creating a TP Link account. This will give you remote access to the router and its features when you’re not on the network. The app is intuitive and easy to navigate. More basic users will find what they would need or use on the home page such as client list, parental settings, network status. There is also security options and you can upgrade to HomeShield Pro to get additional protections such as IoT (internet of things, connected home smart devices), web and intrusion protection. These types of things may be of interest if you have younger people in your home who could be prone to clicking malicious links or routinely connect to public networks. There’s also parental settings where you can setup users and control their access.
As for more advance users you get a suite of router capabilities some of which I could only find by logging in through a web interface. If you need features such as port forwarding, VLAN, static routing, or even setting up a mesh network using EasyMesh or OneMesh devices. The menu responds quickly and is easy to navigate. In keeping with the theme of features, you’ll also see a 10gbps ethernet and SFP combo port on the back. With increasing home internet speeds, home networks and small business networks are becoming capable of supporting faster speeds. You’ll need service that can provide those speeds but it’s also good to know that you have the capacity to do so. There is also a 10Gbps LAN port and all of the additional RJ45 ports are 2.5Gbps, which are appearing more often on newer devices.
All things said I think this is a great device. It’s super-fast and loaded with features. My Wi-Fi 6 and 6e devices work great and I’m excited to see adoption in the future as Wi-Fi 7 devices take full advantage of this router.

Excited like a school kid on Christmas opening my freshly delivered router. Only to find the power button won’t even stay in. Thinking it might’ve been sensing the plug or problem with power. I tried several to no avail. So broken $600 router right out of the box.

A neat, yet powerful and capable router

Well, for starters, this was a rather satisfying unboxing experience for a router. It seemed a little unnecessary, but I guess premium products get premium unboxing experiences. That being said, the router is bigger than expected. This is probably the biggest router I've had. But, it's actually not an unsightly thing. I like the modern, but not over-the-top look. But, to top it all off (or rather, compliment it), is the front LEDs.
Out of the box the display shows various status icons to assist with setup. The large display and clear iconography I actually found much better than trying to decipher the color or number of blinks of a tiny LED. After setup, it cycles through a default set of icons. It spends about 1 second on each icon/emoji. To manage the front display though, you are required to install and use the app for the router, which is unhelpfully called "Tether". I don't know why the app is called that, it's just to manage TP link devices. Not "tether" to anything. The app works well though. Only annoying thing is that it badgers you incessantly to link it to a TP Link account. Everything works fine without an account, but they really want you to link one.
The screen display management part lets you choose from a number of pre-made "emoji's" in the app, and you can also opt to add the date, time, and weather to the rotation. You can change the order of the displayed images, and how long it spends on an individual slide (it's a global setting, can't change it per slide).
You can also add custom text, create custom animations, or create custom static icon. So plenty of room for customization. Most people who saw the router, didn't even realize it was a router and were amused by the emoji's displayed. So, this doesn't need to be something that needs to (or should be) be hidden away in a closet.
Speeds are great, range is great, covers my 1800sqft house no problem, and the surrounding yard. Also includes all the functions you'd expect, including VPN client and server, QoS, Guest Network, and even the ability to create a separate network for your IoT, which is a good security practice since such devices may not get updated with security updates and can be a problem on your network. You can also isolate individual devices. So I really like the security options available. You can also see and manage all connected clients, and see the current real-time upload/download speeds over the internet (not max speed, just current speed based on what is using the internet at that moment). Very handy feature for debugging network issues or determining if something is using bandwidth when it shouldn't.
The only thing that's SUPER annoying, and I think this is just a TP Link thing, is the default network address is 192.168.0.1, while 99% of other home routers use 192.168.1.1 network. The problem this creates is when you install this router, all the devices will try to reconnect with their old IP address by default, which won't work anymore. So even though they successfully connect to the wifi, they may fail to communicate on the network until they're restarted. Very frustrating. If you were switching to another router using the same 192.168.1.1 network, everything would be find reusing their old IP.
It wasn't until after I got everything reconnected, that I found the setting to change the router default to 192.168.1.1. Oh well. Keep that in mind if you're having trouble with your devices after setup.

Ok so I’ve never had anything besides whatever Wi-Fi router I rented from Xfinity so I don’t have another experience with any other kind of routers until this one but once I got it I was very excited. It had the newest technology out and it just looks plain cool. First impressions when I opened it was I was gonna hate it because it looked like it was bulky and gonna be really really heavy but I was way off on that. It was actually light and the way I positioned it on my tower was barely any difference then where I had my Xfinity tower which is smaller but still took up almost the same amount of actual width so no big deal there. Plugged it in and started my set up process. Set up was standard and fairly easy. Connected with Ethernet cord had my ps5, Xbox series x, and Apple TV. Now after set up I hooked up a couple iPhones, my MacBook Air, a couple iPads and my sons notebook for school. And man oh man was I having problems out the gate. Low to no signal for Wi-Fi depending on what room you were in or signal full strength to zero out of nowhere. I was not happy at all I couldn’t believe how bad this thing was. In the morning I was switching back to my old router. When I woke il I had a push for an update which for some reason wasn’t new that morning but didn’t prompt me to update when I first set it up for some reason. So I did and man oh man is this thing a beast now. Thing is blazing fast with multiple things streaming 4k and games all at the same time. Wi-Fi 7 isn’t a thing yet but it will be and when it does makes this thing future proof by a long shot. Just make sure you update out the box and you got yourself a winner.

The TP-Link Archer BE800 BE19000 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router that delivers high-speed internet connection with a breath-taking range of functionalities. Tailored for the needs of a highly digital and connected era, the Archer BE800 is the embodiment of technological brilliance. This router emerges as the perfect companion for HD video streaming on Apple TV, Firesticks, Smart TV’s and the like and provides unbeatable performance for multiple devices even with heavy online gaming usage.
Starting with its Wi-Fi speeds, the router operates on three bands: 6 GHz, 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz, with speeds of 11520 Mbps, 5760 Mbps, and 1376 Mbps respectively, thanks to the 802.11be standard. This tri-band technology allows devices to be allocated to different bands, optimizing performance. The speed capabilities are outstanding, even for a router of this caliber. For those with a need for 8K streaming, VR/AR, high-speed downloads, and intensive online gaming, the Archer BE800 is a dream come true.
Coupled with this, the router is designed to cover up to 4-bedroom houses effectively, thanks to eight optimally positioned antennas that form a signal-boosting array. The device uses Beamforming technology, which concentrates wireless signal strength towards clients to expand the Wi-Fi range. This router also boasts of a high-power FEM (Front-End Module) that enhances transmission power to bolster signal coverage, promising a strong and reliable connection irrespective of where you are in your house.
A crazy good feature of the Archer BE800 is its capacity to support up to 100 devices simultaneously without compromising on speed or stability, thanks to the 4x4 MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output) and OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) technologies. Additionally, it employs DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection) to access an extra band and reduce congestion.
The Archer BE800 does not just stop at high-speed internet; it offers a suite of advanced functionalities like Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 320 MHz Channel, 4K-QAM, Multi-RUs, and compatibility with EasyMesh, Alexa, and Google Assistant. The MLO increases throughput, reduces latency, and improves reliability, while the 320 MHz channel effectively doubles the speed. The 4K-QAM technology allows for 20% more data packing than Wi-Fi 6, thus further amplifying the router's speed.
The router's compatibility with EasyMesh ensures that there are no dead zones in your house. If you do encounter a coverage problem, all you need to do is add another EasyMesh router or range extender to further enhance your multi-gigabit mesh Wi-Fi. I added two other Easy Mesh access points and now I even have robust Wi-Fi coverage outside on my deck, in my driveway and the yard. Also, the Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility adds a layer of smart home functionality to your internet experience, while the IoT Network feature opens up a world of possibilities.
The Archer BE800 comes with advanced HomeShield Parental Controls, allowing users to set custom profiles, utilize a professional content filter library, schedule off-time, bedtime, and even reward children with additional online time. This thoughtful addition underscores TP-Link's commitment to not only offer a high-performance product but also to consider the safety and well-being of its users.
If you need a state of the art, latest and greatest Wi-Fi system for your home, don’t hesitate to grab one.

Good Router for a Premium Price

For me, the TP-Link - Archer BE800 BE19000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router is a mixed bag.
On the one hand, it has a great assortment of features and connections that you would expect with a higher-priced router: New design, LED screen, Tri-Band WiFi 7, Multi-Link Operation (MLO), Dual 10G ports, 1× 10 Gbps Ethernet/Fiber Combo WAN/LAN port + 1× 10 Gbps WAN/LAN port + 4× 2.5 Gbps ports +1× USB ports, EasyMesh-Compatible, TP-Link HomeShield.
There are genuine benefits to each of these features and, together, they reflect the impressive state of modern routers today. Granted, an LED screen with emojis (and base info) is definitely a matter of individual taste. For me it feels like something added for the sake of marketing more than practical use - others may find the displayed information useful.
I have been setting up and using routers for many years. As a result, I've seen routers go through significant seasons of feature upgrades. Adding multiple bands, using powerful processors, developing smartphone apps, and the continually improving ability to prioritize devices according to activity are the kinds of things that have kept me impressed - and happy. Including the latest standards, even before they're official adopted, has usually proven to be a good move, though it often means you won't see the benefits until your devices are also upgraded.
Unfortunately, like many others, I had a lot of trouble setting this unit up due to the fact that it needed a firmware update. I suppose I should have paid more attention to that up front, but my previous experience with firmware upgrades on brand new products has been a matter of minor issues and not something that is essential to an easy set up. After the upgrade I was able to get it working and have had a chance to interact with most of the features, but it did leave a bad impression. Setting that aside, I found the set up to be middle-of-the-road. I've had other units that were much easier to set up and work with - and also some which were more difficult and frustrating. A mixed bag.
Perhaps I'm spoiled, but I've come away with a kind of 'meh' feeling towards this product. There is some degradation of wifi speed and signal depending on what part of our house I'm in, but that's normal in my experience. Some measurements were much slower, and others not as much.
The main reason I did not give it a higher rating is this: As new features become more common-place, the prices of routers tend to decrease as they are widely adopted. New routers with new features that provide significant improvements (ones that you easily notice) are worth once-again paying the higher prices. I did not find the 'new' features of the TP-Link - Archer BE800 BE19000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router to be worth the price.
Once you update the firmware it is a good, solid product. Just wait for it to go on sale.

This tri-band router has 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bandwidth. On the back of this router are 6 multi gig ports (4 2.5 Gbps and 2 10Gbps), along with a USB 3.0 port which should take care of any devices that need to be hooked up this way. The front of the router has a LED dot like screen, where you can choose from many graphics ranging from emojis, the time, text, weather and many other things. You can even create your own graphics.
The design of this router it different from others I have seen. It looks more like a mini computer tower than a router. There are no outer antennas to play with as it has 8 internal antennas which help the signal to go farther and if that isn’t enough signal it has “EasyMesh” so that you can add another router and have seamless Wi-Fi throughout your whole house and entire yard, if needed.
To setup the router, you will need to download the Tether app or connect a device to the router and go through a web browser. I found the app much easier, as I have used this kind of method with other routers and found it very simple.
In using this router, I find it works very well while streaming, gaming and everyday uses. It can connect up to 100 devices. I have approximately 10 or more smart devices spread throughout my home. I have 20 smart bulbs alone, 3 televisions, two desktop computers, two laptops and speakers among other things and find there is very good connectivity with all my devices.
If you are looking for the latest in WiFi, this is a good router to use. The installation is simple, it works with older WiFi and is all around an excellent router. I would definitely recommend this router.

Bought setup the returned. Range is terrible. Antenna location is garbage. Using a AXE5400 that unit rant faster and worked better for my s23 ultra and redmagic 8 void both wifi 7 devices. Right now overpriced crap. It is heavy but feels like trash. Avoid until unit has been out longer as it is not up to the task if you are used to a solid wifi 6E performance. Home is 1400Square feet. My AXE5400 has week signals in my house. However this BE800 i needed to be in the same room as it to connect. Returned after owning for a wopping 15 minutes.
