I am an expat living and working temporarily in Houston and have had a Tracfone for some time. My wife recently visited and I also bought her one to use in her existing phone. It is very easy to set up and you do not have to set up a specific plan. You have options as to which carrier you use and topping up your balances for calls or data is very easy. You can either by a top up card or you do it online. A very good way of having a local phone if you are not going to be permanently in US and balance carry over

Such an easy painless way to take your phone to another company, it beats the rest. For $1.00 dollar you can't go wrong. Look on line to see if your phone is comparable. If yes, buy this sim at Best Buy. there are actually 3 in the package, use the one that gives you the best coverage in your area. I've switched 3 phones so far. Best coverage, and usability so far. I've used many of their competitors. Quit anytime, autopay if you want, or don't. $20.00 per month for unlimited voice, text, and 1 gig of data. Other plans are available. Nice people, nice price.

So we had an old iPhone and a student getting more busy in sports, etc. We discovered that Tracfone has the bring your own smartphone and for about $14.25 per month we are able to have our son keep tabs with us. Just enough data, minutes and text for what we need and it works great!

The TracFone kit for my BYOP worked like it was supposed to. I contacted TracFone Customer service for help installing and transferring my phone number and times. It was easy to activate and was completed in about 10 minutes total. Excellent help from Customer Service.

The kit includes a sim for your choice of networks (ATT, T-Mobile, or Verizon) with easy activation and the service has been reliable and cheap. So you can be a complete idiot and get a $1000 phone with outrageous monthly service costs ... or you can spend a couple of hundred bucks on a high quality unlocked phone with the same reliable networks for a very low monthly cost. You decide, LOL.

the sim was easy to use and set up works excellent

Activated an iPhone 4 from Verizon by simply registering the IMEI with the provided CDMA registration card for my mother. The bill has never gone beyond $17 plus there is no contract

This is great way to get kids a starter phone without having to worry about overages. If your looking to get one for a child or an elderly individual who needs a phone for emergencies grabbing one of these and a phone is the way to go.

This kit is the inexpensive and easy way to get a non-Tracfone phone running with TracFone service. This service is wonderful for my young kids to have a phone for light use and emergencies that is inexpensive to use and maintain.

An easy to use product. I got this for my Mom when she was travelling and used it on her Moto X pure. Installed the AT&T sim, selected a plan online and restarted the phone. That's it and that simple.

If you notice on the bottom left it has a price listed for 19.99 plans... this lets you know that this SIM card gives triple minutes / text / data when purchasing a refill card. This also works in iPhone even though it says for basic phones. Steer away from the SIM card that says 14.99 plans on the bottom left as this is a smartphone only eligible plan purchase SIM card!

i was surprised!! i had a phone that had not been used for quite sometime and this worked perfectly to give to someone without a phone. they were happy to receive it with unlimited talk and text. Not bad with trac phone at 20$ a month for someone that had not other way to communicate!! id highly reccommend this to give to a person without a phone..

I was able to use my own compatible cell phone on the TRACFONE network and buy just what I need for usage.

What differentiates TracFone is that you need not choose a recurring monthly plan. You can, if your usage remains the same every month, but you also have the option of strictly "paying as you go".
