I'm no stranger to Turtle Beach or their headphones. I've been using those headphones for what seems like a steady lifetime. And over the years they've been hit or miss, yet it has been on a consistent basis. However, over the past couple of years, I've found myself quite satisfied with what they've been bringing to the gamer'sphere. Especially with their wireless gear. And as for the wired gear, these Atlas 200 headphones are good. I won't beat around the bush there. They're comfortable to wear for long periods of time, even for glasses wearers, like myself. This is a huge plus, considering many of my gaming friends and family are eye glasses wearers, as well. The light-weight material doesn't really come off as cheap looking, but they don't compare to the wireless counterparts. The sound quality is pretty good, I would prefer if they were just a little louder for those times when I'm in a "I need to hear the footsteps" situations. But for the single player, "let's keep it down, people are sleeping" moments, these come through in a pinch. The 50mm drivers with soft memory-foam cups feel so cozy on my ears. The only draw-back is when it's hot in the room. Expect sweat. When it comes to the headband. There's a mesh coveing over the top and the floating headbands. That helps to keep my sweaty cranium from getting the top all stank. The folding mute feature is still alive and well, and the boom mic is bendible to get the right angle to face ratio. The mic sound is serviceable, so it does its job. My only real complaint is the length of the cord. While this is a really good length for console gamers who plug their head gear into the controller or even the Switch system, this is a total fail for desktop PC gamers. Laptop gamers should have no problems at all, here. That's why I have to give these such a high score. They simply do their job. And their not bad to look at on the skull either. Not to mention, how affordable they are. Pick 'em up.

I’ve been gaming with the Atlas 200 by Turtle Beach for about a week now and I’d like to share my thoughts.
Soon as I opened the box I was quite impressed with the look and design of this headset. They look more premium than they actually are though. For the most part, the headset is plastic. With some soft and comfortable mesh fabric over the elastic band on the headset. The pads on the earcups are comfortable and feel like soft pillows. It feels like memory foam. They fit nice and comfortably over my ears without causing any fatigue or discomfort on long game sessions. The headset is very light for its size. The microphone boom will mute when retracted. The microphone has a small piece of foam to dampen unwanted noise. It does a good job, and my friends all said I sounded nice and clear. Sound quality is good. Not the best I’ve ever used, but good enough. I was expecting a little more bass (oomf) since the cups are so large. Overall, I would say they are fairly balanced. Explosions and gunfire have a nice thud. Footsteps and little sounds that I normally wouldn’t notice with the tv speakers make the gaming experience more immersive. There isn’t many controls on this headset, just a volume rocker on the left ear cup. The wire is fixed on the ear cup and can’t be removed. All in all, I would say that this is a pretty basic headset, with good sound and microphone quality. Would I recommend it? Sure, maybe for the kiddos who can’t be bothered with EQ controls or other settings. Or for anyone just wanting a basic and easy to use headset. If you want a premium sound and build, with a lot of control. I would look elsewhere.

Good Simple Wired Headset

I needed a wired gaming headset that would work with multiple systems that didn’t require any software, something that was simply plug and play. I saw that Turtle Beach had the Atlas 200 Wired multiplatform headset with a flip to mute microphone, which was perfect!
Pros:
- Simple Plug & Play.
- Flip to Mute Microphone.
- Good Audio and Microphone quality.
- Glasses Friendly.
Cons:
- Cable is only about 4ft.
Setup & Build:
The Atlas 200 Wired headset is as simple as it gets, only thing in the box is headset. The headset attaches via a 3.5mm plug. No additional parts needed. The microphone is an attached flip to mute, which can be convenient if it works. The attached cable is only 4ft long, which is a great length for connecting to a controller while holding it but can be short if connecting to anything not in hand.
The Atlas 200 is made mostly of plastic, with fabric ear cushions and a mesh material over the headband. The plastic is a slightly textured matte plastic, which is light but feels sturdy. The frame is flexible but also not fragile, there is plenty of motion to move the headset without it feeling like it will break. The headband is adjustable with Velcro straps on both sides, the mesh covering covers both the plastic of the headset frame and the headband, which creates tension on top of your head to help keep the headset in place. The ear cushions are removeable, which is great for a budget headset as this allows you to clean and wash them without risking damage to the headset.
Feel:
The headset is very light weight at just 0.6 lbs, which is great for long gaming sessions or those who are sensitive to heavy pressure on their head. Even wearing the headset for more than 8 hours didn’t prove any discomfort. The soft fabric ear cushions were both breathable and very comfortable for long hours, no sweating from the faux leather ear cups. The headset pressure on my head was less than I usually prefer but it didn’t come off even when I shook my head which is all I need. Though I did find the pressure worked perfectly with glasses, not causing any discomfort even after long hours of wearing glasses with the headset.
Audio:
The Atlas 200 sounded great while chatting and gaming, I had no issues hearing anyone nor did anything sound off. Even just listening to music sounded great for a budget gaming headset, the audio was way better than most wired earbuds. Overall, I was very impressed with the audio quality of the Atlas 200 as it delivered more depth than I had expected.
Microphone:
The microphone quality isn’t amazing, but it’s good for chatting while gaming. There was a bit of distortion on high and loud notes, but at normal talking levels the microphone was clear and picked up my voice well. I was surprised at the sensitivity of the microphone, as it even picked up quiet whispers, which is great if you’re gaming while others are sleeping.
I’m always mixed on the flip to mute as on one hand it is very convenient to be able to flip the microphone up to mute which is often the needed if you’re eating or just going to talk to someone in the same room. But at some point, I’ve always had the flip to mute feature on other headsets stop working correctly. I hope the Atlas 200 proves my worry wrong.
Conclusion:
If you need a simple Plug & Play wired headset that works with any 3.5mm jack, then the Turtle Beach Atlas 200 is a solid choice if you’re on a budget. The flip to mute microphone is convenient and easy to use. The audio quality is great for the price point, providing great sound for gaming and chatting, while also being enjoyable for listening to other media. I’ll be adding the Atlas 200 to my recommendations for wired gaming headsets.

The Atlas 200 is a great entry level headset that is lightweight, has excellent mic quality along with good sound to help give you the edge while gaming online.
Let me start by saying these headphones are well built and super lightweight. You can hardly feel them on your head, if it wasn’t for the 3.5 wire I could see myself forgetting they were there.
When it comes to design Turtle beach kept it simple and clean, there isn’t much in the looks that screams gamer. The mic flipped up nicely and worked no matter what devices I used. The headband for the Atlas has a unique tightening design, the cups do not move, you can only tighten the headphone with the elastic around the headband. The headband feels sturdy, and I don’t see the elastic going bad anytime soon, I have a big head and there were no issues so these should fit most people.
The Atlas are very comfortable, the memory phone ear cups are large enough for most ears. There isn’t much clam force from the ear cups, and they stayed on no matter what movement I was doing.
When it comes to the mic friends told me I always sounded loud enough however there was a bit of tinniness to my voice, I plugged these into my computer and did an audio recording and noticed that the mic did an excellent job increasing my voice however there was a slight robotish sound to it.
What I was really impressed with was the sound, the highs and mids sound crips and the lows are great. When playing COD or other multiplayer games I was able to hear subtle sounds that let me know where other players were.
Overall, these are excellent entry level headset, what they lack in customization they more than make up for it by doing all the essential things right.

The Atlas 200 are a good entry level headset especially if you’re getting them for a young gamer. I say young, because they deliver on sound except when it comes to bass and I think for young gamers that won’t matter. In terms of sound, one of the big things with a gaming headset is situational awareness and on that front they deliver. Comfort wise the atlas 200 are very comfortable and I think they would satisfy everyone except those with a larger than average head. The ear cups are extremely soft and comfortable and are very breathable, making it so your ears don’t get hot during long gaming sessions. The mic is a flip to mute non removable design, it delivers good sound quality. Besides the lack of bass, my only other negative would be the non replaceable cable. Not that big of a deal if you are getting them for someone that takes care of their stuff but if they don’t, that may be a concern. Turtle Beach has been at the forefront when it comes to gaming headsets for a long time and they make something for every budget, if you’re looking for a good entry level headset, the Atlas 200 will deliver.

The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 is a very comfortable headset. I prefer that my devices are wired to prevent any drop outs from interference, and this headset operated perfectly. The two aspects that truly matter, sound and feel, are on point.
The speakers provide excellent sound. The bass sounds strong. It also provides a gaming experience that feels immersive. My old headset was a bit older, and this one is a nice step up. The setup out of the box works for me. The settings all sound great, and I didn’t feel the need to overcomplicate the experience. There are options if you want to tweak everything, but I didn't see the need.
I’ve worn this while playing rocket league for a few hours, and there is no discomfort or pressure points. The ear “pillows” use memory foam, and they feel good.
The microphone is simple and effective. My voice is clear and the flip-to-mute feature is convenient. My teammates heard me without any issues – again, the basics are all represented well.
If a corded experience is what you are looking for, this is a great headset.

I often choose to buy gaming headphones for multiple reasons. However, these are super comfortable for small to medium size ears. My husband has larger ears that kind of stick out and he finds these slightly uncomfortable after 3040 minutes.
However, for me, I am able to keep them on for an hour or two with no discomfort. The expansion piece at the top works great and then there is a slight cushion on the top as well as to not put pressure on the top of your head. The microphone works fairly well I was able to test it on a phone call. So after understanding that conversations were easily heard I often use this headset for work. The wire is annoying, but at such an affordable. that conversations were easily heard I often use this headset for work. The wire is annoying, but at such an affordable set, you get used to it. They are a little large and don’t decrease in size for storage so I have to hang them up. They are not the type that folded up when you’re not using them so for storage purposes, I just hang them up on my monitor. Sound quality is decent.

Turtle Beach Atlas 200: Big Sound, No Fuss

A Headset That Just Gets It
Let’s be honest—finding a gaming headset that nails sound, comfort, and cross-platform compatibility without draining your wallet feels like chasing a unicorn. But the Turtle Beach Atlas 200? It’s refreshingly real.
Right out of the box, the Atlas 200 makes a solid first impression. The packaging’s nothing flashy, but the headset itself feels sturdy and well-built. Turtle Beach clearly didn’t cut corners here—this thing’s designed to last.
One Headset, All Your Platforms
If you bounce between PC, Xbox, PlayStation, or anything with a 3.5mm jack, the Atlas 200 has your back. No adapters, no extra gear—just plug in and play. It’s the kind of plug-and-play simplicity that makes you wonder why more headsets aren’t this easy.
Whether you're gaming solo on your rig or passing the headset to a friend on console, it just works. That kind of flexibility is rare, and it’s a huge win for gamers who hate juggling gear.
Sound That Pulls You In
The Atlas 200’s 50mm Nanoclear drivers are the real MVPs here. They deliver crisp highs, punchy mids, and bass that’s present without being overpowering. You’ll hear every footstep, reload, and distant explosion with clarity that can actually give you a competitive edge.
It’s not just about volume—it’s about detail. In games like Call of Duty or Battlefield, that precision matters. You’re not just hearing the game—you’re in it.
Built for Long Hauls
Comfort-wise, Turtle Beach nailed it. The memory foam ear cushions are soft, roomy, and stay comfy even during marathon sessions. And if you wear glasses? The floating headband design is a game-changer—no pressure points, no headaches.
It’s the kind of headset you forget you’re wearing, which is exactly what you want when you’re deep into a raid or grinding ranked matches.
Mic That Keeps You Heard (and Muted When You Need It)
Multiplayer communication needs to be clear, and the Atlas 200’s mic delivers. It’s uni-directional, so it picks up your voice and filters out background noise. Flip-to-mute is smooth and intuitive—no fumbling for buttons mid-match.
Your squad will hear you loud and clear, and when you need to go silent, one quick flip does the trick.
Budget-Friendly Without Feeling Cheap
Here’s the kicker: the Atlas 200 doesn’t cost a fortune. Turtle Beach focused on what matters—great sound, comfort, and compatibility—and skipped the gimmicks. It’s a headset that feels premium without the premium price tag.
If you’re looking for value without compromise, this one’s hard to beat.
Final Thoughts: A No-Brainer for Gamers
The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 is everything a gaming headset should be: simple, reliable, and immersive. No batteries to worry about, no complicated setup—just solid audio and comfort across all your devices.
Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a competitive grinder, this headset delivers where it counts. It’s not trying to be flashy—it’s just really good.

The Atlas 200 is a headset that’s impressive for the price range. From when I tried it, I could tell it was built as a practical headphones. It’s light and solid, and the ear cushions makes it comfortable to wear for a while—perfect for long sessions. The dual-foam pads are a big plus for players who wear glasses like me; no more annoying pressure on the sides of my head!
Sound quality is where it really impressed me. The drivers deliver audio that makes games feel more immersive. The flip-to-mute microphone picks up my voice okay, and flipping it up to mute is simple and convenient and works really well.
A universal 3.5mm connection seems archaic but honestly, for headphones that are going to be parked at a gaming desktop, that’s the most direct and most compatible way to get your audio with NO latency. The inline volume control is quick adjustments and should be included in all headphones today. For anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable, and great-sounding wired headset that works across multiple platforms, the Atlas 200 is a great option. Super good deal.

Atlas 200 Headphones - They’re fine, I guess…

So I have the opportunity to review these new Turtle Beach 200 headphones and I had to say I’m a little bit disappointed in these. Now over the past couple of years I’ve had the privilege of reviewing a good amount of gaming headphones, mostly wireless headphones, but great cans nonetheless. Now with the current headphones that I’m using my biggest negative was the weight. So when the new Turtle Beach wired headphones touted themselves as lightweight I got very excited. Let’s start with that as promised these managed to be super lightweight without necessarily filling flimsy. They’re substantial enough that you can throw them around after a frustrating gaming session without fear of breaking them, but that’s the only positive I really have for these.
Let’s talk about the volume. On the left-hand side, there is a volume dial that surprisingly doesn’t crank that high. I suppose this is good if you’re trying to protect your hearing, but there’s not a lot of decibel range. That being said, the quality of the sound is adequate. Nothing necessarily to write home about but dialogue is delivered crisply with a delicate thump for more bassier sounds. The biggest issue I have with these headphones however is that the headband is way too small. This is problematic because what it does is position the microphone way too high where it’s distracting while gaming. This is the first time that I’ve experienced gaming headphones where the microphone meets at eye level. On the plus side, it does have the ability to flip up and tuck away. Even then with the adjustable Velcro straps on the side, the cans tend to sit above the ear. And what makes it worse is that my head isn’t big at all. I would say that I have a standard sized head so I can only imagine how it would fit on others.
Out of the mini headphones, I’ve tried. I can’t even say the Turtle Beach Atlas 200 headset lands on my top 5 gaming headphones (and I’ve only received 4 for review). The sound quality is “fine” my biggest complaints are the positioning of the microphone, the size of the headband and the inability to reach higher volume. While these may be good for an inexpensive option, if you have a budget of at least $100 I would recommend looking for a better model.

Simple and Comfortable Audio Bliss

I’ve had a handful of gaming headsets over the years, but I was trying to think back if I’d tried a TurtleBeach headset before and I think this is my first! I got the Turtlebeach Atlus 200 wired headset, a bit of an oddity in a world seemingly dominated by wireless bluetooth headsets. Their big selling point was the lighter weight than other models and makes, and on that one point they’re certainly not joking because they’re approximately 280 grams (about 0.61 lbs.). Its a very lightweight headset and comfortable to wear with a swiveling microphone on the left ear and a volume wheel. The box says the sound is delivered by 50mm Nanoclear drivers and the headband is a “Floating Design” with memory foam glasses friendly cushions. In the box was the headset and a QR code for a setup video online, nothing fancy but it doesn’t need anything else since the wire from the left ear is always attached on the headset end and ends with a standard 3.5 AUX that works directly with the PS5 controller of your choice.
Since this is fairly lowtech there’s not a lot of bells and whistles to go over, the sound was plenty good to my ear and I didn’t hear any complaints about my microphone quality (my COD skills I did hear about but that’s not relevant here!). The microphone does mute when flipped upright, which is cool. One complaint you could leverage against this headset is that I don’t see how it adjusts if you had a need to alter the headband. It uses an elastic strip stretched through a mesh to achieve the floating and lightweight design, on each end it loops through the plastic frame and there’s a small square of hook and loop (velcro) to secure the elastic strap. Since the hook end is ONLY in that small square on each side you can’t secure the elastic anywhere else making adjusting the size impossible. Its a small complaint and maybe moot since the floating design means that it stretches easily for bigger heads but if your kid wanted to use it they may find the headset too big to stay on right.
So there it is, a good headset and very comfortably lightweight for standard sized gamers but if you have a small head or small people who want to borrow it then your mileage may vary. You could do a lot worse on a budget than this headset if you don’t mind that it’s wired.

It was ok…for a casual gamer. The ear muffs weren’t very snug so it wasn’t noice canceling at all. The volume wasn’t loud enough for me to play Apex Legends because you NEED audio to know what’s going on around you. So since it was lacking for me I decided to return them. Definitely not worth $60.

Comfortable and light-weight great sounding cans with a good mic for gaming. Being wired means you don't need to worry about batteries and just start gaming. Also being wired there is no chance for lag between the audio and video which can be very noticable if you are watching movies.
These are comfortable to wear even with glasses which is great, and they are breathable for the ears which is important to me for longer days gaming. I found the sound and microphone and both had great sound, or great enough for me for gaming and watching movies. The Microphone is the standard flip to mute which is handy as you can keep it out of your way when not using.
The controls are placed logically as well and very easy to use.
Overall these are light-weight with comfortable foam headphones, that fit great over glasses. The sound is very clear that fills the headphones allowing you to enjoy movies and gaming.
The only potential downside is the cord is 4 feet long which depending on where you are plugging in might not be long enough so keep that in mind, but for me that isn't a huge issue with my setup, but something to keep in mind, but they are comfortable and and sound great and I'm very happy with them.

Like the title says, these are the best headphones that I have used that is in this price range. That said, I want to start out with a few of the cons and then I will talk about the pros.
First with the cons. The cable is not a bad length if you use these with a controller for a console, but if you are using these with a PC, I would have liked to see a longer cord, one at least 6ft or maybe even have provided an extension for those who would like to use with a PC. These are just under 4ft long. The cable is also non detachable along with the mic also being non detachable. This could have opened up a few options if they allowed a couple cord types to be use. Again, especially with PC.
These only have a volume button, but that button does not have clicks. I would like to have the volume wheel have clicks for it.
The mic boom does not go down as far as some others, so you can see it in your vision.
Lastly is that the earcups themselves do not adjust. you adjust via the head band, but I like to also be able to adjust the earcups.
One that is not too bad for me, but some may prefer, no mute button for the mic. I personally do not care about this as you push the mic up to mute. But if you do like the button over pushing the mic up, then this does not have that.
But now for the pros. These are pretty light being wired. They are very comfortable, even if you wear glasses. I was able to wear these for hours. I do not use glasses all the time, but I did wear them with these and was surprised how comfortable they were being that they do not have an indent in them for glasses.
The cups go over the ears pretty good. So good that they almost sound like they are noise cancelling. With sound going thru them, it was very hard for me to hear surrounding noises. (Could be bad if you do not like that).
Mic sounds pretty good as well and especially for this price range.
Sound wise, these were pretty good. I mainly got these for my laptop just because it has limited USB ports and so I can use these to plug into the headset port and use the USB ports for other things.
These are 3.5mm for the plug, so you can use these with pretty much any device, console you want that you can plug into.
If you do not mind a wired headset, I definitely recommend these. Great headset at the price these are.

Surprisingly rich sound for a bargain

The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 is a surprisingly strong performer given its price and entry-level functionality. The audio is very good—rich enough to provide a genuinely immersive experience while gaming.
The build relies mostly on plastic, which is to be expected, but the fit is guaranteed by some thoughtful design pieces. Overall the design does a lot to make the headset look & feel more like its premium cousins than other options you might get at this price. It's lightweight enough for long gaming stretches, though the generous padding on the earcups can make things a little warm during extended sessions.
On the feature front, this headset is minimalist: it lacks noise canceling or any robust EQ customization. However, the sound quality is good enough that you might not miss those extras. The microphone quality is also very clear and loud for in-game chat. I particularly appreciate the microphone's design; when I fold it up, I don't notice it at all.
There are a few minor limitations in use. The wired cord isn't very long, which can restrict movement depending on your setup (no problem for consoles but I had to get creative for my PC). And while the padding is comfortable, the heat build-up is something to be aware of.
Overall, this headset is a great value. If you need a solid, cross-platform audio experience and don't require the bells and whistles of high-end features, the Atlas 200 holds its own.

Great Basic Wired Headset

The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 Wired Multiplatform Over-Ear Gaming Headset is a budget friendly-wired headset that is well built and offers all of the necessary basics. Compatibility with any hardware with a 3.5mm jack makes it universal and it worked with my wireless Xbox S controller, my laptop, and my Nintendo Switch Lite. It didn’t require the downloading of any software to use it and I was able to plug it in straight out of the box. It’s lightweight and comfortable to use for extended periods with an adjustable mesh floating headband, and thick, breathable, memory foam ear cushions that Turtle Beach refers to as “glasses friendly”. I can attest that even after several hours my eyeglasses were not cutting into my ears and my ears were not sweaty. While this headset is not sound isolating the audio is very clear, especially on stealth-type games that require intent listening and my friends say the flip-to-mute microphone is very clear as well. The fact that this unit is corded does limit your movement while gaming but in return you don’t have to charge it or provide batteries in order for it to work. I appreciate that this headset remains very classic in appearance (as most Turtle Beach Products are) since some of the ones on the market tend to be very flashy/a bit garish in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this headset and will be gifting it myself this Christmas.

The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 is an excellent, comfortable multiplatform headset at a very budget friendly price. I know most people seem to prefer wireless headsets now, but with both Xbox and PS5 having a headset jack right on the controller, it seems kind of silly to me to have to use a proprietary wireless headset for either console. With the Atlas 200, I was able to easily connect to my controller on either my Xbox Series X or PS5 and use this headset without any issues.
I think Turtle Beach are the winners for comfort for gaming headsets these days, at least for people who wear glasses. While I've used a few headsets from other brands that are as good or better, Turtle Beach is the only brand that has consistently produced headsets that are comfortable without putting a foot wrong. The build in general for the Atlas 200 is very nice. Despite being an inexpensive headset it feels well made and I would have no problem handing it to my kids to use on a daily basis. The cord is relatively short, however. For my primary purpose (gaming while connected to a controller) the short cord is a benefit more than a hindrance, but for PC gaming the cord may be too short for many people to use without some consideration for the placement of their PC at their desk.
Sound wise, the Atlas 200 sounds great and seems to be able to handle the amount of power given it by the controllers just fine. This is a closed back headset, and has the boomy bass you'd expect from one. Since it's a 3.5mm wired headset, it doesn't have the bells and whistles of higher-end and wireless headsets, like built-in spatial sound or footstep enhancement. I personally don't care for those features on most headsets, so it's no great loss to me -the 3D audio feature on the PS5 or DTS-X/Atmos on the Xbox work fine for simulated surround IMO.
In short this is a great headset whether you're shopping on a budget or you just want a convenient, comfortable, good-sounding headset primarily for console that will also work fine with your PC.

Like the title says, this is a pretty good entry level wired headset. The fit and finish are excellent and the pads are comfortable. They are a memory foam style with a cloth fabric that does not seem to get warm. The cups fit nicely around the ears and very little external noise comes through. The headset fits nicely but if you have a larger head, this might be a little tight as the cups do not adjust up and down, only the stretch band moves/expands. The sound is nice and full and I had no problems picking up footsteps and other noises in the direction they were coming from. The flip mic is also very nice with three positions. Talk Mute and off. I had a little trouble, again, getting the XBOX Series X to recognize the mic on this unit but I was able to finally figure it out on chat settings. It seems like the universal headsets are geared more for PC and it takes tweaking the XBOX and game settings to make it work. I took off one star as I prefer a headset that says its made for XBOX to actually work right out of the box. But, once it was tweaked I had zero issues and everything worked as it should.
