I LOVE Steam! My daughter also LOVES Steam! I have been purchasing Steam Gift Cards from Best Buy as presents for years. They always shows up quickly. Unfortunately, there's no e-gift card option, but getting it delivered so quickly is wonderful and perfect.

You could directly purchase a game through Steam using your credit card but using this card may be less of a hassle for some individuals. If the card is bought through Best Buy, you can earn their reward points towards other purchases, which some individuals may find to their advantage. Regardless, it may serve as flexible gift for someone you know to be a PC gamer but are unsure of a game they may prefer. NOTE: Sometimes during a Best Buy holiday sale such as the Christmas timeframe, the cards have been on sale for $5 off. Although, I can only say I have seen it for the $100 cards. Also, if the person waits for a Steam sale, they could get newer games at significant savings but that is not dependent on using one of these cards.

If you are in the pc gaming community, you definitely have Steam installed and are steadily growing your game library. $100 dollars can go pretty far on Steam, and with sales it can go even farther. So you really can't go wrong with picking this up, especially if you are gifting this to someone who you are unsure of what games they might want to play.
