Worst TV ever!! I DO NOT recommend a Vizio ever and will not ever buy one again. Bought it in Dec 10, 2019. Crapped out today, Aug 14, 2021, just 1 year and 8 months after I bought it. Just found innumerable bad reviews online on all sizes of Visio TVs with the same problem ... the left side of the TV starts to darken. See this link -- https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/443128/Left+side+is+dark+and+getting+darker
Wish I could give it negative stars!!

The tv has a great picture and the color is beautiful. The TV remote is good as well. The only thing I don't like is when the Smart Cast is not available, which includes You Tube, and is one of my favorite channels.

Pros: The picture quality is surprisingly good. NO BLACK BARS when in 4K UHD with HDR. I've owned LG budget TV's that unfortunately have these black bars when HDR kicks in because it cannot calculate black levels and bright areas very well. This TV minimizes that and gives you a decent 4K HDR image. Dolby Vision is an added touch. Built in Smartcast allows me to view all my subscribed channels in one place.
Cons: To put this simply, this TV really needs more HD inputs. It comes with only 3 HDMI and NO component inputs, but yet it comes with a composite video input (?). Also, the TV speakers are pretty bad. LG TV's have really good sound with bass, but this TV does not... at all. Has problems with lower resolutions such as 480p whereas LG's don't.

Purchased this Vizio TV last year, after purchasing ROKU TV's for the last 3 years. I will start off by saying the Picture quality is superb, but that where it stops. After receiving the TV I realized that their version of Smart TV is not smart at all. The TV only has a handful of apps and if you want to add anything extra they tell you to use your phone or device... and then try to make it sound like it such a GREAT option! The app screen takes forever to load and sometimes I can't even tell if the TV is on, or if it went out while starting. The WiFi on the TV is also sub-par and drops out intermittently. Because of all this I went out and bought a ROKU stick. The ROKU connected great and WiFi (no surprise here) worked perfect. However, after about a month I found that when using the ROKU remote to turn on the the TV through the HDMI port, the TV either would flicker and get confused and not launch the ROKU at all, or it would show there was nothing plugged into the HDMI port. I started to turn the TV on through the Vizio remote. This worked for about a week then it started showing no ROKU again. I found that if I load Vizios software screen first, then switch inputs to the ROKU HDMI it works. I also noticed that in the last software update to the Vizio, they removed the ROKU label from the port all together so now its just called HDMI (even after I renamed it ROKU twice). So in the end it will end up in the un-used spare bedroom and I'll go with the way cheaper ROKU TV's which...I have never had any issues with to this point (65" Sharp Roku).

if you can afford to dish out the extra $ for the m series, do it...it has a better panel.
but the v series:
picture quality -
overall pretty good. about as good as some of the best LED panels from 2/3 years ago.
blacks - good detail however with only 10 lighting zones it isn't as good (highlights/grainy) as it could be when most of the screen is black (night shots, shots of space)
color - good, some tuning was required but the configurability is insane, so take the time to do it.
4k - the upscaling creates gridding, but 4k content does look sharp.
audio - built in are ok...use the ARC with a receiver, it has dolby surround processing and for tv/streaming apps its pretty good.
comes with a free selection of niche tv channels that are kinda interesting, good bonus.
things to worry about -
it is kinda slow to boot - not that huge of an issue for me
arc feature is great - however a couple apps fail to output audio (closing the app + restarting the tv/audio receiver fixes the issue)
i would recommend this, but seriously get the m series if you can..i will be returning this for that.

Hello neeraj, we want to make sure that we have an option for every type of consumer with multiple features. If you are looking for a step above this model you are correct the M-Series is a great step. If you are looking for the best possible picture at the best price I would recommend the P-Series Quantum or P-Series Quantum X.

This a great TV for the price. While it is no Samsung, the picture is exceptional and it was a breeze to set up. The remote is nothing to write home about, but I don't use the supplied remotes with any of my equipment. I use a Harmony which programmed easily to the new TV. I especially like the built in Chromecast, which works like a charm. All in all, a safe bet.

Two sales associates helped me in the Ocala office, which allowed me to see two different perspectives. That helped me narrow down their selection of 55" TVs. This Vizio is just what I was looking for. The "calibrated" choice is perfect for color and sharpness. A couple of the other selections were a little pixellated, but maybe they are used for gaming. I mostly watch movies and TV shows. I was afraid of corner shadows as used to show up in my old Emerson flat screen, but there are none at all. The sound is also just right, but isn't as strong as I expected in a bigger TV. Some may consider adding a sound bar, but I don't think it's needed.

We decided to use our Best Buy credit card to treat ourselves to a new TV, as our old one was too small. We are very impressed with the image quality, free apps, and ease of use. The stand design made it possible to put our new TV on a relatively small piece of furniture, which was essential considering our small living area.

The TV picture is good, no complaints. The size for the price I thought could have been a little bigger.
The Smart functions of Vizio TVs are second to none. Without a cable subscription and having high speed internet, this was a great choice to fill my media needs all based on using the apps that come with the TV.

The picture is great. The Amazon Fire capability is great but it has some quirks. It does not have screen mirroring but fortunately I have an adapter. It does not default to the TV port. It defaults to the last used option. If I used my firestick on another tv, This tv will default to the firestick port instead of the TV port when I turn it on. I do have the TV set to default to the TV port (hdmi). Otherwise it's great.

The tv is great for our family room, the picture is crisp and I love the thin edges so you get the true amount of viewing pleasure. If I could improve one thing it would be the sound. I may get a sound bar at a later time. The amount of programmed apps is also great for the money. A great buy. I love the watch free tv!
