I have been a Vizio TV loyalist for many years. We have owned 42", 47", 2x 22", and 60" Vizio TV's. Have purchased 22" as well as a 42" for my mother in-law. We have been very happy with our Vizio TV's.
I did my research prior to my purchase. The P65-C1 was rated really well. This was not in-stock so we had to wait a few days for it to be in. We get it home, take the 47" off the wall in the living room, got the 60"of the wall in the family room and installed in the living room, and got the new 65" up in the family room.
We go through the initial set up process and begin downloading updates. The image on the TV was strange kind of grainy/pixalated on the start up menus. There was a weird bleed effect from text on the left side of the screen where the text went from the top of the screen to the bottom like it smeared. Was hoping it was just the startup menus. Once the TV came up it was still like it on the main menu screen. The top banner menu was flickering with the weird bleeding down of the text. Tried our Dish Hopper 3 and the image was flickering, had a ghosting effect, and had colors looking like it was bleeding down the left hand side of the display. There was no apparent damage to the box nor the screen.
We went back to Best Buy to speak to customer service. With the photos and videos I took, they agreed the display was defective. They did not have another in, not sure why when mine was ordered another wasn't ordered for stock. It was going to take another week to get its replacement in. After spending this kind of money having to wait another week was totally unacceptable.
We were offered a in-stock Sony x850D. This was the same price but my initial research really showed it was a step down from the Vizio P65-C1. The manager gave me a very good offer on the in-stock Sony x930D which we ended up purchasing.
Would I purchase a Vizio TV again- Yes. Sometimes there is a lemon with any manufactured product. It sucks that it happened to me. I wanted to share my story so people know that this did happen.
On a side note, the tablet remote was so frustrating. Trying to get it set up and figured out while the TV is going stupid didn't help the matter. I am tech savvy person but the remote was incredibly more difficult then what it should have been.

The HDR is amazing. Watched Sin City and saw every detail. Can't beat the price for this high of quality. Tablet remote is simple enough. I actually went in looking for a smaller, less expensive TV but couldn't resist this model. Major upgrade.

As a pure monitor, the picture is stunning. A tad disappointing that they left off any type of 3D, but it accepts 120hz 1080p and 60hz 4K which makes it a perfect screen otherwise. That said, the remote is an android tablet. It is awful. There are not even picture setting menus on the tv, you have to use an app on the android remote which is always requiring an update or crashing or running out of batteries or something. If you want a great picture and don't ever have to use the remote, I'd strongly recommend the TV. If you don't have a Harmony remote or you're counting on any of the "smart" functionality like built in Netflix, run away. RUN NOW.

My experience with the tv so far has been nothing short of fantastic. Vizio knocked this one out of the park, even the box was designed to make it easy and safe (for you and the tv) to unpackage. It performs equally well in all lighting conditions and i have experienced no issues with fast paced high quality programming like action movies or football. I would have preferred a mat-black frame as the current silver one does reflect some light, but it doesnt affect image quality at all. The only area I cannot accurately review are the speakers as I already owned a vizio sound system. Lets be honest, with a tv this amazing it would have been a waste to not make use of my surround sound system. It works well as a computer monitor as well provided you have a graphics card that can handle 4k or near 4k quality.

We knew we wanted another Vizio 4K Ultra HD television. We already have the 70 in, M-Series, and we wanted a 65 in. or 70 in. for the remodeled family room. We bought the 65 in. P-Series. It takes some time to properly set up the Android Tablet Remote to bluetooth connect with the television and Vizio Soundbar, but once set up, it works great. The picture on the television is excellent especially when streaming 4K video. The SmartCast feature works, but you need a good WiFi signal to both the television and the Tablet Remote. Best Buy stood by their Price Match Guarantee - when the price on this TV dropped $200 about 2 weeks after we purchased, Best Buy credited us the price difference including the tax. We are very happy with this Vizio P-Series television and our experience with Best Buy.

I have had the P65 almost a month now and so far it has not disappointed.
So far it has been flawless in performance and picture quality. I run a AVR 5.1 Sound system so cant comment on the TV speakers.
It was just announced that hdr10 update will start rolling out next week as long as the developers don't find a killer bug this weekend.
Regardless what the BB staff says about Vizio Its amazing they cant keep them on the P65 series shelves even when they hard sell sony and samsung.
If your on the fence jump on the band wagon of Vizio just go look at all the pro review pages and you will come to the same conclusion

I spent a lot of time researching TVs before a settled on this one. It was very important to me to have both HDR10 and DolbyVision for HDR. The Vizio 2016 P series is on of the few lines of TVs that can do this. I think that DolbyVision looks better than HDR10 for a lot of titles so it is worth making sure you get this.
I love the the casting feature. The only app that it does not have is Amazon Video. I am using this TV in a dedicated home theater environment which as I have read elsewhere is where this TV can really shine. Games on Xbox One S and PS4 look their best and the low input lag was a huge plus for me.

After a lot of research, I purchased this TV to replace a 65 inch Visio M series from last year. Picture quality is noticeably better, especially dark colors. Internet interface is easy to use and the new tablet remote control is definitely cool. I used to spend $4-5k on Panasonic displays with higher expert picture reviews but for everyday "normal" use have found Vizio displays to close enough picture quality with significant cost savings. My only complaint is that there is no size between 65 inch and 75 inch (I wanted 70) but overall very happy with purchase.

I was so excited to get my new TV. Couldn't wait to watch it. Unfortunately, once we mounted it on the wall and turned it on, we had a big problem! The TV had vertical lines across the screen and the tablet remote had a black screen with a little penguin in the middle. My thrill with this new TV turned into disappointment. I really didn't know how much worse it would get. I called the Geek Squad. While I was thrilled that I was speaking with Americans, I soon realized that there was no sense of urgency with the people I spoke to. They would commit to calling me back, but the phone never rang. They would commit to calling my local Best Buy store to see if they could get a replacement TV delivered any sooner than the 3 weeks they gave me, they never called me, so don't know if they tried or not. The TV was delivered on the original 3 week out date. Tickets were opened by the Best Buy personnel, but when I called back, the ticket had been closed. I had to go through the whole sad story over & over again with multiple personnel. Also, I posted on Best Buy's Facebook page and was told to email and someone would be assigned and contact me within 48 hours. I never heard from anyone!! Nobody cared that I paid 2K for this TV and it was delivered broken. No one tried to expedite the delivery of a replacement TV. This was an opportunity for Best Buy to convert a disappointed customer in to a happy customer, but they didn't even try!
The one bright spot in this whole experience was Brian who delivered the new TV from the Winchester, VA store. He was helpful and empathetic with the experience we had had. He stayed to ensure the new TV was working and helped mount it on the wall. After everything I'd been through, I really appreciated him very much!!

Picked up the set but it did not work. Picture was bright on one side and dark on the other and flashing. Best Buy came and took it back and gave me a new set that worked at set up but would not show the picture unless the set was left on then turned off and turned on again! Best Buy picked this set up and delivered another one which worked perfectly. Three times is a charm! Great picture and tablet.

For the price it was a great deal... It is not as bright at the Samsung but for the basement that is a great thing. Side viewing angle is not the best but I have mine wall mounted with an articulating mount so that I can rotate the tv easily. The casting feature is nice but i wish it still had more of a traditional interface as well.

All the reviews I read were correct. The tablet remote is interesting, but a traditional UI is missed. The 720p quality is very sub par. This means cable/satellite even if it's upconverted to 1080p. Now this TV REALLY shines when you have true 4K UHD HDR content. Absolutely stunning. Games also look great. If you watch a lot of TV, might want to check into other brands. If you want the best quality for movies and games, you can't go wrong with this.
