Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this sound bar on May 7th to go with our new Vizio tv, assuming they'd pair well together since they're both Vizio. It has good sound but that's about all i can say since it hasn't worked the same way two days in row since we bought it. Most days we get sound, but some we don't. We have to turn it off and turn it on multiple times. Some days mute works, some days not. The bluetooth function is awesome for pairing with my phone so I can listen to my music while cleaning house or entertaining guests..too bad it doesn't work anymore. Now closed captioning randomly comes on, and won't turn off. I am very disappointed I paid $200 for this!

Great sound but glitchy

But I had trouble pairing my phone / setting up SmartCast, which I still don't understand. And now I'm having an issue where it won't turn on until I have unplugged it and plugged it back in--even after a firmware update. I consider myself tech savvy.

Sounds good, poor connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds great when it works, unfortunately every time I pause my dvr the soundbar loses connection with my tv and has to be reset. The system connected with my iPhone the first time and worked well but could never get a connection to work after the first attempt, going to exchange for a different product

frustration

After experimenting with different combinations for my TV/ firestick/cablebox I found something that was usable even though audio continued on a previous component when a source was switched. The next day the entire unit would not function as it did the day before. I wasted a lot of time tinkering around and adjusting settings on the TV, cable box, etc. as suggested in some forums. The NEXT morning the subwoofer refused to work and would not pair with the soundbar despite following the instructions many times over. Returning this garbage to Best Buy and will probably go with component.

Dead at 40-days. Poor warrantee support.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked well for just over the 30-day return period - then started to fail - then no sound on the only audio connection that worked, the HDMI-ARC connnection. The optical connection provides 3.1 channel sound but it's delayed so much that you hear the sound of most words after the actor's lips have stopped moving. The Bluetooth sound is not 3.1 but only stereo and dull and indistict - not better than using the TV's internal speakers. This was my third failed Vizio soundbar.

Terrible compared to original 3.1 Vizio soundbar!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This one wakes me up in the night constantly losing Bluetooth connectivity and how it BLARES loudly while it searches for it, and the sound is nowhere near the sound on my original 3.1 Vizio soundbar (not smartcast). This one echoes and fades in and out and is just awful. Also, now my phone only finds this one and I can't connect to my other one to make matters worse :(

Too much expected...
