Overall, the sound is good and carries throughout the room. The bass is good but the soundbar is adequate.

I have had full surround sound systems and currently own other high end soundbar systems. I have to put this somewhere in the middle. The sound quality is very good for the money. The subwoofer is responsive and produces great low end. The integration with the Vizio tv we purchased with it is very nice and easy to setup. The smartcast feature works with google chromecast audio whole home setup I have. Not much more I could ask from a bargain system.

It's such a dramatic improvement over the standard Vizio TV speakers! It actually sounds quite good. It has a nice warm tone to it, like those old all-in-one Radio Consoles / Record Players from the 70s. Overall, I felt this was a gamble, but after setting it up I was pleasantly surprised. The biggest issue I had with the built in TV speakers was it was hard to make out the dialog. This soundbar makes the dialogue crisp and clear. One issue was that the original one I purchased had a blown out speaker on the right side. You could tell it was blown because as soon as the volume went past 4, the sound became distorted. Upon inspection, the driver had pushed through the cone! BestBuy was quick to give me a replacement, since I was within the 15 day return period, and I quickly added the four year GeekSquad protection. I would recommend that if you plan to connect to it via Bluetooth, make sure you have the volume check / limiter enabled on your phone, just to be safe. Also, given the quality of the internals, get the four year Geek Squad protection, which at the time of this writing was $34.99. In any case, I think this was a good purchase, and really improves the audio quality, and therefore the viewing experience as well. The front room feels like a mini-teathre now!

This sound bar is a great deal for the price. The sub is wireless and really gets the sound around the room

Great sound from the bar and awesome bass from the subwoofer. My only issue is with the "timing out" that happens when I'm using my A/V center as my computer. After about 2 minutes of silence the bar goes to sleep (or into hibernation) and I have to either cycle through the inputs or turn it off and wait a few minutes to turn it back on to get it to work again. Tried all settings and nothing seems to fix that one and only problem.

Easy set up. Integrated easily with our Vizio TV. Sounds great with both video and bluetooth connections.

Really high quality package. The soundbar and sub are well built and look great, the setup was easy. Sound wise I wasn't expecting that much but it's actually pretty good. Decent bass extension from the sub, and the treble is very nice and clear. Only downside is that the stereo separation isn't that good but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend given it's price.

This is my first sound bar, although I have had other speaker setups with televisions. The sound is excellent. I have it n a room that is roughly 12' x 14' with a high cathedral ceiling. The room is also open at one end (into a larger living space. Sounds is excellent and there is no problem hearing the television from the opposite side of the room. My only caveat is that I wish the volume control was able to make finer adjustments in the volume.

For the price, it was very easy to set up out the box and works with my Toshiba device. Great sound

When I heard the demo model of this soundboard in the store I had to have one. It's even better in my home. Plenty of volume and great highs and bass. You will love it

The Vizio SB3831 soundbar was simple to install and sounds terrific! It's paired with an 8 year old Vizio screen and I can still use my cablebox remote to adjust the volume (this wasn't possible with the Samsung soundbar I originally purchased and returned). This soundbar sounds so good it almost makes me regret spending hundreds more to connect a regular receiver and 5.1 speaker system to my living room tv!

This Vizio 3.1 soundbar is awesome when you consider how inexpensive this is compared to other brands.My man cave sounds great whether I'm watching a BluRay or just regular tv or listening to music via the great Bluetooth that this comes with.If your looking for a soundbar with great clear and loud sound with thumping bass from the wireless sub then go with this unit and forget the overpriced brands like Bose.

Got this sound bar to replace my old home theatre. I wanted to look at what was available in the store and this one was recommended by the sales person to coordinate with my Vizio tv. Easy setup, my satellite remote controls it (I don't think I even did anything to set that up.) Sounds great, and doesn't take up much space. The sub woofer is over to the side and is greatly effective. I'm definitely satisfied.

Recently bought a Polk SB with SW. After two days the sub stopped working. Went back to BB and after talking to a rep, he recommended this. I have never bought a Vizio product before and always try to purchase "bigger name" products but this thing packs a punch. Very clear sound and gets loud. The subwoofer is excellent and you can control many different settings with the remote. Good system for the price!
