The box has every thing you need to install the unit and including clear instructions. I've only had it installed for a month but I can say it works 10x better than my old whirlpool and is much quieter. I would recommend this unit if you are looking for something reasonabley inexpensive that will get the job done for a small family.

I replaced our old 5/8 HP garbage disposal with this 1/2 HP unit and was quite surpirsed to discover that it does just as good a job. It is a fairly quiet unit and was very easy to install with no assistance. Everything I needed came in the box, it was even pre-wired with a power cord unlike by old unit. I would definately buy another Waste King product.

Gets the job done and is quiet and efficient. One issue was the confusion at the store regarding the order to install this with the dishwasher. When the installers came I was required to pay for the second installation, even though I had paid for both installations with one purchase item. The issue was finally resolved, but not without difficulty. Finally, the installers left and the sink drain leaked. Lesson: Make sure you get what you pay for in the installation.

Replaced a Badger disposal. Setup, installation very easy, good directions, etc. Quiet, powerful and price was great. Would definitely recommend.

I had to get this at the last minute when I purchased a new dishwasher (see review on 3-30-2014 for Bosch 500 series if interested) because my old Kenmore model had seized up (15 years old). The disposer works well. It says it's an "easy install" and for the most part it is. But I ran into a small hiccup that cost me almost 2 hours. Out of the box you have to be careful when you separate the neck from the body that you re-connect everything under the sink in order. My problem came in trying to separate the neck from the body early on. The instructions show just taking the two apart. But it wasn't that easy - to me. The rubber neck so-to-speak comes out of the body but the instructions didn't spell this out. I was twisting, prying, pulling on everything I could see or think of to separate the two. I finally figured out which thing the instructions were actually referring to which wasn't clear. Once I got past this, the install went quick and was just a matter of doing it, and easy it was. Waste King is a decent name in disposers from what I can tell. The 1/2 horse power didn't mean much to me but I saw my old one was also 1/2 and it worked for everything I needed (regular home use) so I went with this one. The first few times you use it, it will sound a little rough. This is the gears and metal working into operational conditions. After 3 weeks of use it's now operates smoothly. Don't make it try to do more than it should. Follow directions on how to use it and you'll find you have purchased a great disposer.

Fairly easy to install once you get the old one out. Runs well and is fairly quiet while running. Good value for the money.

This is a great disposal for the price. I replaced my last disposal with the same unit and it lasted with regular use for 13 years so I expect it to last as long. Extremely quiet and powerful enough to handle most jobs.

My old one broke down on me and I just happen to be walking around best buy and saw that they had some this was great because I really didnt have an money at the time but was able to use my BB card and purchase it it came with a 2 yr warranty. I love and very smooth product and it packs alot of power.

Pretty nice disposal for the money. It's not too noisy and installation was a snap in my case. This disposal fit onto my existing mount. All I did was remove the rubber gasket from the top of the disposal body and then fit the disposal onto the existing gasket. I then tightened the lock ring and was pretty much done. Don't forget to knock out the dishwasher plug. Read the instructions and you'll see what I mean.

A bit noisier than my previous one but works great. Easy for my husband to install & got a great deal on it.

It is almost silent! I turned it on and thought there was something wrong because it was so quiet. Very easy to install as well.

Great product. I did skip one very important step during installation; I didn't put in plumbers putty. This is an extremely important step if you don't want it to leak. I had to disassemble and reinstall with plenty of putty. Now she works like a charm with no leak. A bit louder than my last disposal, but solid disposal nonetheless.

I bought this mainly because I don't use the garbage disposal too often so I figured I would go with a cheaper one. It works great but it's louder than others have reviewed. Otherwise it works great. When installing this item don't forget to remove the dishwasher drain plug if you have a dishwasher. I forgot to and had to call a dishwasher repair company since I thought my dishwasher was acting up.

After 3 months, very happy with it. Much quieter than my old unit. I forgot to remove the plastic "punch out" piece for the dishwasher drain, so my dishwasher ran all day because it couldn't drain the water. So if you have a dishwasher, be sure to remove that piece (about the size of a half dollar).

this disposal is efficient, quiet and a good buy at the price I paid for it.

This product was great. I was looking around for a garbage disposal when redoing my sink and countertops. After reading some reviews I decided on this product. I was glad to see that Best Buy had this in stock at the local store. The price you cannot beat.

Great price on this waste King garbage disposal. Much quieter than our previous disposal. Pleased with two year warranty.

This garbage disposal works very well. Problems with getting it installed was extremely frustrating and required additional cost. Apparently this unit needs an electrical under the sink/counter on/off switch for the unit itself. Some newer kitchens may have it installed already If not, it will have to be done in order to use this model. Had to get an electrician and outside plumber to install the unit as it is not considered a basic install when Best Buys came out. Be sure to research what you have in your kitchen and what you will need (may require more). The unit itself works extremely well.. Paid an additional 200.00. (Kitchen has old construction codes. Had to bring it up to current codes. Just note ...may cost more. Family member who is an electrician put the switch in for no charge)
