Works great. Was worried there'd be some troubleshooting as I'd never used an external drive before but nope, all good: just plug and use. Great capacity too. A new 20TB for ~$250 (on sale) is nothing to scoff at

I'm using this 20TB external HDD as one of my backup strategies with my NAS. It works great for that purpose. It's fast enough, for my use as a backup target, and not too loud or power hungry. You cannot go wrong with this drive for one of your backups. Remember, hard drives don't last forever and this should be one of other solutions to your backup strategy, if you have important enough files that you want to keep. Great price point for what it is!

I own several easystore drives, some of them are always on as backups for huge vide files. Super value, and never failed (so far), especially compared to Seagate. I always buy another one when they're on sale. This is the perfect capacity. I wouldn't use it for editing, but great for backup.

    Nice external hhd

I'm good with everything, 220MB/s is a nice speed of a external HHD. You know, those SSDs claim speeds of up to 1000MB/s, but they usually only reach around 500–600MB/s most of the time. The only thing I want to complain about is the large charging brick, it blocks 2 to 3 outlets at once. I understand it requires extra power, but I don't get why the charging brick is so much bigger than the 45W or 65W ones for the phone.

Great drives, and wonderful to have the massage storage space. I have a number of video projects that I've kept on a smaller hard drives over the years, and consolidating those projects into one place has put me more at ease about backing up my projects and has made it easier to clean up clutter for projects I do have. Easy to set up and use, reliable so far. Glad to have a couple of these around.

After using the WD easystore 20TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive for a couple of weeks, I am absolutely thrilled with its massive storage capacity and performance. I need a ton of storage space for my work and personal files since I'm a photographer and videographer, so the easystore 20TB has been a game changer for me. In terms of performance, I must say that this hard drive has been extremely reliable so far. I haven’t experienced any issues with the read and write speeds, and it handles large file transfers without any problems. The easystore 20TB remains silent and cool, even when performing resource-intensive tasks.

I purchased this storage device to archive all my Apple purchased movie and TV videos in one place. I thought it was a reliable pick as WD has always been my choice in hard drives for their dependablity. I take it with my on vacation and trips. It's Easy to carry and I don't have to purchase in house movies from places I stay. Great Product!

Works as expected. Massive storage space and doesn’t seem to overheat or make all that much noise. The price seems a little steep, you could just buy multiple smaller ones but for the convenience you are going to pay a bit more.

Wow — this WD Easystore 20TB drive is an absolute beast! I can’t believe how much storage this thing has. Setup took seconds — just plug it in and go. The transfer speeds are super fast with USB 3.0, and it runs whisper-quiet even during big file transfers. I’m using it for my entire photo, video, and backup library, and it’s handled everything flawlessly. The sleek black design looks great, and the performance has been rock-solid from day one. If you need MASSIVE storage that’s reliable, fast, and easy to use — this is the one! I’m seriously impressed and already thinking about grabbing another. WD nailed it with this drive!

One thing we all hear is "back up your data". Well this WD Easystore 20TB external drive makes that task a little easier. You can connect it directly to your laptop/desktop/NAS or even many routers and run your favorite backup software to back up your devices. Also you can just copy your data for easy access to individual files. With nearly 20TB of usable storage you can back up everything. The WD Easystore 20TB External Hard Drive is also excellent for archival storage for things like video files, photos, etc. Many routers support external drives like this one for an easy way to implement a network accessible storage drive.

This is one of the most reliable external hard drives available. Lots of memory to backup my entire desktop multiple times. The only issue is that the cable isn't as secure as the USB is on the back of the drive. It has been made that way for years so hopefully in a few years they will upgrade it so tje connectors are no so small.

Good price/was on sale and I received price-match reduction after purchase. Having purchased other WD drives I have a couple (14tb external) that have bearing noise but still work. Hopefully this one won't develop bearing noise in the near future.

Purchased this as it went on sale as a whole house back up for 4 different units/backups. Partitions were a breeze, backing up 16TB of info took a few hours but well worth it. Easy to access, always pops up immediately and good wasy tech is always enjoyable. Thanks Best Buy for facilitating such a great purchase. With the added benefit of the total pro membership, getting any tech to try is a no brainer, this one though, is a keeper!

    Mega HDD

As an amateur photographer, those portable 2-4tb drives kept running out of space. It didn't make sense to keep buying these small portable drives just for it to run out. Having to purchase a USB hub just to have access to all the portable drives made it cumbersome. So I ended up getting this mega external hard drive. I have already transferred data from three portables onto here with plenty of space remaining. Other than the occasional clicking, the drive runs quiet. It sleeps and wakes up with my computer. Transfer rate is fast. However, the best part was the price match guarantee. I bought this drive a few weeks back at $300. I was browsing through Bestbuy for Black Friday deals and noticed it had dropped by $50. However, it was also out of stock. But I managed to get a price match credit. A big win for me.

Really good external hard drive that I use to store large files and games. Really worth it especially if you could get it on sale. It does get loud sometimes and rather hot. You might need a small fan blowing through it if using somewhere even remotely warm. Otherwise WD does make good storage devices.

I do not believe in cloud store for backup. If you lose internet, you lose your backup as you cannot recovery it when needed. So I have used these Easystore Drives for several years. You can back up specific data or a complete drive. Then store your data off-line to prevent corruption such as ransomware. I have used seperate 4tb drives, one for each of my computers or different drives. However that requires grabbing multiple easystore units if you want to take them elsewhere. The last time I purchased the 20tb drive. Then created subdirectories for each of my computers and drives. Now only have to grab one easystore drive. I will be getting a second one for redundancy and keep it at my son's house. The only con I have is that it uses USB to transfer so it take awhile to copy a large drive or the whole computer. So I start it in the evening and it runs all night. Short of that, It is a great option for a removeable drive, or off-line backup.

This external hard drive has been working great! It offers tons of storage. The only drawback is that is ticks and whirs a little bit, so it will vibrate your desk a tad while it processes data.

Works fine with my router. 130MB/s is what I got when copying files to it. It might be more but I didn't do a CrystalDiskMark on it. 20tb for the sale price is a good deal when I bought it. It comes formatted at NTFS. I prefer exFAT for portables and I don't need any of the software which is usually just marketing gimmicks anyway. So I just formatted it and plugged it into my router for easy network storage. Just basic advice for anyone who may not know. Do not move it and if you think you might get knocked over, have it laying flat. You do not want to move it while it's on.
