Well priced! Easy setup. These drives are great. I have a bunch of them.

I have used WD hard drives for many years and they have never failed me. This drive is great to use to back up volumes of data, pictures, movies, etc. I bought 3 and use one for laptop back up, 1 each on Xbox X game systems. I have stored 6 TB of games on 1 and they run just as fast off the external drive as they do off internal drive. Superb value.

Great buy. 8TB is a huge amount of disk space. Very simple plug and play operation that comes with back-up software. You don't have to use the back-up software if just looking for additional storage capacity. Product is very small in size so it doesn't take up much space. Electric Cord is long so it can be placed away from the computer if needed.

Purchased at a discount, I got this drive for about $20 per terrabyte. I am an older person, and I got into the personal computer revolution way back when it started. Does anybody remember the Epson QX-10? Anyway, 8 terrabyte drive for backups, this is an important addition to my computer system(s). Works flawlessly, quietly. My only complaint is an odd one about cosmetics. I wish they didn't encase the drive in a hard plastic that appears to attract every dust particle in the house. To get back to the "clean black look" I have to wipe it down every other day. Here in Bend, OR where summer wildfires have been nearby, whenever we opened with windows to let in some fresh, albeit smokey, air, all of a sudden I got a very dusty drive. That cant' be good for its innards over the long haul.

Can't have too much storage. These WD drives are solid performers.

Bought this to replace a 3tb WD that I have had for several years with no failure. Good product I would always recommend. Only complaint I have is that it's actually only 7,27 tb due to platforming . My understanding is that this can be rectified but I don't want to mess around in an area I don't know that much about. and BTW, that's not a WD thing ALL HARD DRIVES that I have bought come the same way.

The performance aligns with expected standards, enabling the efficient backup of a variety of files, including videos and photographs from main computers. Nevertheless, the transfer speed from the easystore unit to other computers is relatively slow, akin to that of numerous external hard drives. In summary, I would confidently recommend this product to my business colleagues.

Great product with a great price. I bought it to back up my Lightroom files and it has plenty of room to House my 10k plus photos.

f you're looking for a great external hard drive, look no further. I bought this drive because of the outstanding reviews and the more lackluster reviews on it's sister products. What any user needs to do when buying any sort of external hard drive should expect some sort of noise. It isn't an external SSD. So expect some sort of noise. With headphones on, I don't notice the noise on this drive at all when it was performing it's first backups. With headphones off, it is hardly noticeable. I am using this drive to back up all my data across three different computers: an old laptop, a school/work laptop, and the new PC I built. Now, I will be able to access all my data from the new PC I built with plenty of room for future data back ups. I can't speak on durability quite yet. Rest assured, I will certainly update this review significantly if this dies within a year of purchase. Side note: I have been seeing things that this could have a white label or a WD red drive inside. I would prefer not to shuck this out of the casing, so if anyone knows another way to tell, let me know!

Great device. Comes with everything you need. Plenty of storage. Has a western digital red drive inside. works perfectly for NAS.

The instructions are extremely easy to follow. In order to use it with all my Apple products, I highly suggest going into the utilities app on the computer, and formatting the drive to APPS prior to use.

Awesome storage capacity. Great price. Got it for $139 while retail is $299. Fast drive that utilizes USB3.0. Can’t ask for more.

Got this to use as a backup drive. I am a photographer and have a ton of photos to keep safe. This does the job. Easy to use. Install software, setup backup and you're done. The software has really been updated.

For the price the size is normal but the space is huge. and being WD it should last for a while to take care of anything I need.
