Very simple to setup and use. Lots of space to store anything you'd need. I like the fact that this external HDD only needs a single USB cord to function.

Western Digital is known for it's reliability. It just goes to show you that you can get a good product for a great price. You can do anything with 1TB. If I really was going for the gold I would have got the Cinema 5TB. This though...is just fine.

Easy to use, great price. I use it to store a decades with of movies, music, pictures, videos, and documents. It's never crashed or given me trouble.

Purchased this for my mother to back up her business files as she had neglected to do any kind of back up before. The computer she used for the business needed to be reset and I convinced her to pick up a hard drive, this fit her budget and had more than enough room to back up all of her files! Can't say much about it for now only had it for about a month now. so far so good. price was reasonable. very Small and convenient I can carry it anywhere without a problem was able to backup my drive 225 GB with no problem.

I was able to use this to back up my computer as I had a lot of heavy documents that were not necessary to make my computer slow.

I LOVE this external hard drive! I was quickly running out of space on my laptop because of graduate school, but I was able to get this hard drive just in time to transfer some of documents and other files that I do not need ready access to and save space on my laptop. Convenient storage and very easy to transport! A friend recommended it to me, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone, especially if you have a smaller storage capacity on your laptop or need a convenient manner to back-up your files!

This is a great portable massive 1 TB hard drive. I purchased it to backup my media files, and be able to take them on the go. This is my fourth Western Digital My Passport hard drive. My first is going on 8 years old and was a 320 GB hard drive it still runs like a champ. As do the rest. A great product for the price. Also came with a $10 Best Buy gift card that I was not expecting. Bonus!

I recently purchased the WD My Passport Ultra to use with Time Machine on my new MacBook Pro. Before attaching it to my new computer, I used it to transfer files, photos and music from my old iMac. It worked perfectly. It's so small I can leave it attached to my laptop all the time. And it holds 1 TB, which should enough for a very long time.

Got the PC version for $20 less and reformatted it. Easy to use and so far has been reliable.

This is a great choice for fast and easy mobile external storage for all your files, music, movies, documents, and whatever else you need to store! I use it for my laptop and my Surface 3 tablet and I store all of my files. It's compact so it's easy to slip into my computer bag. This also makes great with video game systems but make sure you have a USB Y-split cable to help power the hard drive. Highly recommended!

it's a storage device. works like its supposed to. Very easy to use, just plug it in- wait for your computer to recognize it. then start transfering. I think you have to let its interface install but I can't remember cause I bought it a few months ago, transferred files, and totally forgot I had it until B.B sent me an email to review this product. but I like it and the price was good. it was on sale.

Been working in the field for 10+ years and will only purchase WD brand hard drives. This drive is extremely fast when used with a USB 3.0 controller, and will work fine with USB 2.0 also. Any hard drive could fail depending on how its used, and WD is very good about getting things replaced under warranty. Western Digital makes great reliable products and stands behind them should they ever fail.

I purchased this product to transfer thousands of photos and videos from an older laptop to free up space on my hard drive. I have another WD Passport I use to back up two other computers. They both work flawlessly. The WD Smart Ware makes the back up process easy and allows you to easily see that all of the files were backed up or if there was an issue with any of them.
