Customers highly value Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security for its ease of installation, reliable virus protection, and overall performance without compromising their computer's speed. They appreciate that it comes free with certain purchases and offers satisfactory security features. However, some users have concerns about compatibility issues, potential slowdown of their computers, and the relatively short subscription length of six months.

Haven't actually installed it yet because we already have another program but have heard good things about it.

I think this would be a great line of defense if it were not for the fact that it doesn't seem to work with Norton.

Nectar,
Webroot is designed to be compatible with most third party Antivirus products, though they may not have designed their product to be compatible with us.
I have personally seen Webroot run along Norton, Malwarebytes, Bitdefender, and AVG without issues across many different platforms. Webroot is also the fastest AV product available and there is no need to run another program with it, it generally causes slow performance.
If you are having an issue getting Webroot to work with another AV then it is advised to contact our support team at 1-866-612-4227 or by creating a support ticket at https://detail.webrootanywhere.com/servicewelcome.asp.
Best Regards,
James G.

I am not sure how well it worked since my computer got the blue screen of death a week after I installed it.

Unwanted, foisted upon me by Best Buy

All right, so the salesguy says "You get a trail version of Webroot with this! Yay!"
I say, "No, not interested. Don't want it.".
Then he says something like: "Its a 90 day trail, you don't have to buy the software...." and he handed me a disk. I get back to the office, and I toss the disk in the trash like I do with all the other 'free' crapware.
Couple of days later I look at the bill...HEY! I was charged $15 for a trail I didn't want! OK, next I should have jumped in the car, ran all the way back to Best Buy, and indignantly demanded my money back. Arrggh! Threw the darn disk away! Sigh. Rubbing salt in the wound, then there's the annoying reminders from WebRoot to install/update/buy their software. Spam filter for you, Webroot marketing!
Again, WebRoot is a very good product that I have used in the past. My objection is with the way this was "sold" to me by Best Buy.

This was a year ago, but one of the computers doesn't have external drive, so I will just give it to my mother.

dwallner,
I am unsure what you are referring to. Webroot does not require that you have an external drive. If you are referring to a CD drive, you do not need that either. You can install online at http://www.webroot.com/us/en/products/wsa-installer-download .
