They appreciate that it comes free with certain purchases and offers satisfactory security features. However, some users have concerns about compatibility issues, potential slowdown of their computers, and the relatively short subscription length of six months.

I would never recommend anti virus such as this. Too many pop ups. The best anti virus you can have is your own judgement on when/when not to click.

Karbon,
Webroot does not cause popups and we will not block them. Popups are rarely malicious and are almost always caused by the end user installing a potentially unwanted application, which is not malicious. It is important to note however that if oyu experienced problems such as this, we offer free support for all of our products and are always happy to help.

I don't like Webroot, as it slows and bogs my computer. I only got it because it came with my computer when I bought it, but I have yet to install this version.

As far as bonus items go, this one is probably not the best choice for a MacBook Pro, virus protection isn't necessary, and there's no rom drive!

This is just trash to me. Windows Defender works. Stay away from obvious bad sites. Don't try and download things illegally. You will be fine.

Hi,
Webroot only blocks malicious pop-ups - that is to say, only pop-ups that attempt to infect your computer or are themselves caused by an infection. Some websites have their own pop-ups which are not dangerous and offer additional information or features.
If you don't want to see these pop-ups, they can be blocked by changing the settings in your broweser. Below are the instructions for the three major browsers: Chome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer:
1. Open Internet Explorer. 2. Click on Tools (or the gear icon in the upper right corner). 3. Go to Pop-Up Blocker in the drop-down menu. 4. Select Pop-Up Blocker Settings. 5. Set the blocking level to high at the bottom of the window.
Mozilla Firefox:
1. Open Firefox. 2. Click on Tools (or the orange Firefox button). 3. Select Options. 4. Select Content from the tabs along the top. 5. Check the box next to "Block pop-up windows."
Google Chrome:
1. Open Chrome. 2. Click on the Options list on the upper right (the three lines). 3. From the drop-down, select Settings. 4. At the bottom of the page, click "Show advanced settings..." 5. Under the Privacy section, click "Content settings..." 6. Set the pop-ups settings to "Do not allow..."
