I recommend this TV , it has a great picture, easy to use and at a nice price

If you're looking for a simple and inexpensive TV, this is a good choice. It has good picture quality and smart features and it offers a versatile and capable package at a good price point.

I went in to BB looking for the cheapest basic set I could find that offered the most real estate. $300 for a 50" set (at time of purchase) seemed to be a steal. While the set scored 4+ stars on BB's web site, there were a ton of 1-2 star reviews that I noticed once I got home with the new set (why I did not notice those scores before the time of purchase, I'll never know!). Nervously, I unboxed the set wondering if I'd have buyer's remorse. Thankfully, that was not the case! To address some of the issues other reviewers had: 1/ Durability -- I ran the TV set for 24/7 the first week, simply to see if the tv could last the endurance test. It did! 2/ Picture -- You have the option to set the picture on energy-saving mode or store display mode. We have it set to 'store display' and it works fine. Not top-of-the-line, but no glaring issues (poor tint, burnt pixels, etc.) 3/ Sound -- In our small room (about 150 or so sq ft) with hardwood floors to reflect sound, the speakers work fine. 4/ Remote -- Yeah, that's kind of a pain, so we dropped a star on our rating. Overall, our set is an overachiever. While no 'hidden gem', it does a lot better than expected for its price point.

Screen quality and sound are good, but the remote doesn't have a mute button and stops working at times. Like 1-2 times per week.

I have no idea what the people blasting this TV is all about because it is phenomenal. It is lightweight, has a great picture, sleek, and is a SMART TV. I had some serious doubts after reading the negative reviews but I took a chance and it turned out great. Some posters said the remote didn't even have numbers on it...that's a lie. Some said the sound is terrible...that's a lie. Some said the picture is horrible...that's a lie. The one big thing: You have to set it up. Do not just pull it out of the box, plug it up, and expect it to look awesome. Save your money and buy this TV.

Very impressed with this television, especially at the price point. The 50 inch that it replaced was 10 years old, and that TV was 3 times the cost of the Westinghouse that I bought - and it wasn’t a ‘smart tv’ to boot. Great value.

I really like the tv. Its light, great picture versatile with all the smart tv features. My only issue is the remote. I wish it had numbers on it.

Nice TV, original TV was broken however Best Buy quickly mediated that problem. Easy hookup- although do miss RCA input a little bit. Was to be used for somebody with a VCR still (yeah people still use these things) so I had to think through that one, ended up going through COAX input and everything did work out. Bought a $40 mount from Amazon, Mounting Dream, it is the best mount I have ever bought. Enough material to support TV well and super easy to put up. They even sent a 6" level to use when mounting the bracket.....surprise!!

This is a great tv for someone just getting into streaming tv. Very simple remote and so far a great quality. Only downfall is severely limited apps.

I don't know why everyone is saying that it shuts off like that! Personally I haven't had that problem! looks to me like some pretty mad undercover reviewers, or some normal people been set up, cause of the great price! This TV is the deal of a lifetime! All of my friends, neibors, family, everyone was wondering how I could afford such a nice TV! They all wanted in! Thanx best buy!

Easy to set up. Good picture and sound. Doesn't need a soundbar for a small apartment. I returned a separate sound bar I purchased. Took a bit of time to find the proper input button/channel set up for the cable setup I had. I couldn't get the cable company remote to work with the TV (for volume, on/off). It seemed that none of the Westinghouse codes worked. Might be a cable company issue or a Westinghouse issue.

I purchased this TV in Feb. 2017. I have to admit that I was somewhat impressed at first. Considering this was my first tv larger than a 32", I was shocked by the picture and really didn't mind the remote. Now, in Nov. 2017, I can honestly say that I regret this purchase. The picture clarity is spotty, the sound quality is rather poor, the remote is worthless, and the built-in Wi-Fi connection blows. On the remote; unless you don't mind flipping through channels, even if you know a particular station number, it's rather aggravating. There are few button options and no number buttons at all, making it impossible to go directly to a specific channel. Button press response lags, seeming as if the batteries may be dead, but aren't. The built-in Wi-Fi connection is pitiful. It will not stay connected but maybe an hour while the tv is powered on. It disconnects each time the tv is powered off. Unless there's a feature that I'm unaware of, you are required to enter the Wi-Fi password each and every time you want to connect. Therefore, paying for Netflix is practically pointless. Last but not least; it's called a Smart TV, but I've found it's not so Smart after all. It has pre-installed apps, Pandora and Netflix being the most useful (while it stays connected). There's also a weather app, knock off Hulu app, and a children's app. Removing and/or adding other apps is not optional. Depending on your budget and overall wants in a tv, spend the extra money on something worth your time.

This TV works fine, and the onscreen setup was easy. It found and logged into my wifi with no problem. The remote is incredibly simple, thank you so much for not having 5 zillion little buttons with vague names and functions. Sound from the built-in back speakers sucks, but that's normal, everyone buys at least a speaker bar. And, since I live off the grid and run my home on solar, wind and batteries, the power usage is manageable --about 100 watts. Since my TV and internet are satellite with limited bandwidth, I download Netflix in town to watch up here, and this TV works fine with Chromecast....not built in, but it's a $25 dongle. I have no 4K service or any other fancy stuff. In fact the Best Buy dude, who looked to be about 16, went over my checklist and agreed that I didn't need any fancy stuff, don't waste your money, here's a deal (and I had already picked out this TV online from their website) and didn't try to upsell me on stuff I didn't need. All in all, I'm pretty impressed for what I got for $300. Oh, might as well chuck the AAA batteries that came with the remote. DOA, but that's normal.

I bought this tv as a gift for my mom. She loves it, but it doesn't come with Hulu or the option to download Hulu or any other apps

Tv has good picture some channel speak Spanish channel 7 and few others no sound don't really know what to think but like picture

High Quality Product, sharp crisp image. Smart Tvs will get right on the Internet, perfect for Netflix with minimum setup time

I bought this for the den so my cousin’s kids can watch tv and play video games when they visit. The kids love it, the picture is actually really nice and the sound is great too. Very good price for the size! This makes a great family room/living room TV.

Good price. Excellent colors and brightness. Quite slow changing channels but I can deal with that.
