I originally purchased the Sony version of this TV but has buyers remorse because it cost so much more. I never even took it out of the box. When I returned the Sony, I saw this TV on the floor for only $350. It's a 1080p and does exactly the same thing as the Sony with a much better price point. I am so happy I did the exchange. The picture on this TV is crisp and realistic like any other 1080p and it is supereasy to install. Plug the power into the wall. And plug the cable box into the tv. That's it. I know people will turn away from this TV because it is a Westinghouse, but I encourage you not to. I feel like I got away with something by paying so little for such a wonderful picture. I've been raving about it since I made the purchase.

Bought this TV to replace a Sharp Aquos that was fried by lightning. It has a very clear picture and easy to program. When I received the flash sale price on it I jumped on it, picked it up at the store within three days. very easy.

I always purches from best buy they have the best products n explain good on the brand n quality of the product i had both all my kids laptop's n grandkids laptops n gifts for family memebers there n the tv i purches looks good on my living room everyone loves the hd quality on it n how big it looks happy with my purches n the price i pay for it

I purchased this TV online and had it delivered to my home. I didn't like how they delivered it. The box was open at the bottom. I was expecting the box to be sealed because I like to open the box myself when I buy new stuff. Then when we got the TV and turned it on the quality was horrible. It was like the picture was jumping on the screen. I don't know why it was doing that at first. Then hubby went and fixed the setup options and it started working fine. We have cable remotes so we couldn't get the cable remotes to work with this TV to change sources. We have to use two remotes and I don't really like that about the TV. We have other flat screen tvs that we can just use the cable remote only to do everything. Other than that everything else is good with the TV.

Really wanted a 1080p TV that had a VGA input to work with an old Mac mini. Some other odd but specific things as well! This is perfect!

This is my 4th Westinghouse TV. more than 11 years ago I bought two 32" and one 42" Westinghouse TVs and I still own one of the two 32" and the 42" TV (the backlit of one of the 32" stopped working after about 8 years). This new 55" Westinghouse is replacing a 50" LG that only lasted 3 years and 4 months (backlit as well). Before I bought this new Westinghouse I was reading the reviews and some of them just didn't reflect anything I have experienced with my older Westinghouse TVs so I was a little bit concerned but then Best Buy does put me at lease with their return policy. So here is my verdict so far: * Excellent HD picture quality for a 55" TV that was less than $300 (I have photo attached showing a test picture on the TV) * Sound is OK - the speakers are not on the left and right side but almost in the center ABOVE each other so don't expect a great stereo experience and connect your sound source to a surround sound system instead * Lousy remote control - better get a Harmony or something similar I still give this Westinghouse 55" TV a 5 star rating because I can replace the lousy remote so that is not an issue at all and I have alternatives regarding the sound: I get pretty much everything (TV and games) through my Xbox so I can use either a headset connected to my Xbox or the surround sound system connect to my Xbox if I need more than the sound provided through the TV's own speakers. One word of advise no matter what TV you plan on buying next: get the 5 year warranty plan (Geek Squad) - it was less than $60 for this Westinghouse TV and in case the backlit fails after 3 years and 4 months like it did with my last LG TV at least I don't have to shell out more $$ then (if you want to avoid the dreadful backlit issue you have 2 options: plasma or OLED but OLED is still pretty expensive)

It’s not fancy. It’s got a nice picture, good color, it’s big. Menus are easy to navigate, it has a variety of inputs, good sound. It’s low profile. If I was going to complain about anything, I’m thinking about taping some nickels to that remote just so it doesn’t feel so cheap. No bells and whistles. No fuss or frills. Just a regular-joe tv doing it’s job and doing it well... for half the price of your smart phone.

This TV is excellent. Exactly what we were looking for. I can't believe the price! We are gamers and there isn't that delay you get with some TV'S... There are 3 HDMI outlets so we can plug both our Xbox one and our PlayStation 4 up ... The sound is exceptional even without our surround sound on, The picture is crystal... It truly was a great TV. I was a little on edge because I hadn't heard of this brand before, that said I am pleasantly surprised. We have a top of the line 50' inch VISIO and this TV(which is a 55') is as good, if not better .... I would recommend this to anyone, in fact I did.... I left a very detailed review on my Facebook page as well as in a group I belong to. It isn't a smart TV for those shopping for that, however with our consoles we didn't need a smart TV.

This is a 55" unit, large enough for a living room and a real luxury for a den or bedroom. Color and sharpness are first rate, and I saw no evidence of motion blur or other flatscreen peculiarities. The remote control is a comfortable size and the buttons are well-positioned (which I can't say for all remotes). I would recommend getting a sound bar, which is an essential for all flatscreens since the speakers are on the back, and sound reflected off the wall lacks high frequency response. This is not a "smart" TV, but you could use a streaming stick or a set-top box. If you're interested only in cable/satellite and DVR, nothing else is essential, and the price is remarkable for this TV's size and performance.

This is going to sound stupid but it was October and the new Call of Duty was coming out in less than 2 weeks. Im thinking in my head oh my goodness we are getting 2 new Call of Duty games this year and its basically going to wreck my life for a long time so how can I go about making this experience more enjoyable? I decided oh yes a bigger TV would do the trick! I upgraded from my 42in Dynex LCD TV to this one and WOW the difference was incredible. LED makes all the difference in the world and I love it. Absolutely amazing picture that's so crystal clear and HD looks far far more HD than an older LCD TV could. Crazy statisfied with it and don't regret it for a second. I honestly only have one complaint and that's the remote. The channel and volume buttons are on different sides than I have EVER encountered. Volume is always on the left side of the remote so instinctively I try to turn up the volume and I change the HDMI output to a TV channel output by touching that wrong button a lot. Minor complaint that doesn't actually have anything to do with the TV so its more than ok in my book. Overall it made my Call of Duty experience one I wont be forgetting anytime soon and that much more fun to play.

This is not a HIGH END Monitor, however, for a large Bedroom that we spend time in, it's PERFECT. If you're looking for the latest and greatest, not your TV, but, if you're looking for a great picture and using it to watch TV, Videos or Netflix, it's wonderful. Sound surprised me as well. It doesn't weigh much either. My old 40" needed 2 people to hand it, this went up by myself.

So far the tv has been great and for a good price. It does have a little bit of glare and reflection of what is in the room, but it’s not too bad and for the price I’m pleased.

I've had this TV for about 6 months now, and I've enjoyed the size upgrade from the 39" I had before. With the lack of 4k sources at the time, I didn't see the need to upgrade to anything more than 1080. It's been a great TV for what I need, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable 55" without any bells and whistles and doesn't need 4k yet.

OK, so this isn't the fancy shmancy 4k whatever TV. But the description of the TV makes that clear--and you get what pay for: a pretty large, high quality TV with great picture and sound. Definitely more than adequate for my situation. Awesome!

Granted I am not much of a tv watcher, nor do I care about the latest and greatest tv technology, I am very impressed with this tv especially considering the low price. I get lots of over the air channels with a separately purchased antennae (none received without this). I can hook up my iphone 7 via an hdmi cable and lightening to hdmi adapter to stream Netflix, youtube, etc. I don't have internet/wifi at my house so wasn't concerned with the non-smart tv aspect. I believe you could just buy a fire stick or similar to make it a smart tv anyway.

Love the color of the tv. Great value for the cost. Picture shows just as clear ofl as the big name televisions.

Most folk probably wouldn't recognize the difference between a HDTV vs 4k picture just by looking at it, and probably don't care. If that is where you stand, this tv is for you. It has a very good picture, sound could be better. Thin Bezel, very light and easy for one person to mount on a wall... I recommend you you get a sound bar or use external speakers

Picture is great, easy to use, affordable price. We use a sound bar with ours and it sounds great.
