Works well better then a front loader. You can open the lid to add clothes if necessary. Only draw back is that the lid locks and you can't open until washer completely empties of water. But cleans the clothes well.

It was a bright sunny wintery day. My clothes were dirty. I tried to wash them but the washer would not rinse. I jumped in the truck and speed to the nearest Best Buy and picked out a washer, To my chagrin it was out of stock. My clothes were very dirty by the time I took delivery, I even had to turn my under ware inside out. But now all of my clothes are clean. I have heard from many people that the new high efficiency washers don't clean clothes worth a darn, they make clothes dirtier. My washer cleans my clothes so clean I almost think they are new. I am very happy with my new super high efficiency Whirlpool made in the USA washer with clean washer with Affresh setting.

After buying a more expensive washing machine and having it die after five years, we decided to go with something less expensive this time. For the price, this washer is impressive. Nice features, looks good, and works well. We are pleased.

Wish i had known about the slightly larger model before buying this one. Although i am very happy its so efficient just a little noisy but its in my garage so no worries there.

This washer is fantastic. It is a little loud, but it cleans clothes thoroughly. The drum is large enough for a queen size comforter.

We like this unit because it does just what it should, wash your clothes. It didn't come at a high price or tear up my clothe like our old front loader. Back to the basics seems to be better than a fancy expensive model.

My only holdup so far with this washer is if the load is not even, I'd say at least 95% even, then the cycle stops leaving the clothes drenched and requiring the cycle to start over manually after adjusting the load. Only happened a couple times before we ensure its loaded well now but was frustrating at first. Excellent as far as how well it washes clothes and would definitely recommend.

directions are confusing. it requires detergent to be put in before loading clothes but how do you know how much to use without having the clothes in the machine to see what size the load is ? also clothes seem quite wet when removed ... does not seem to do the best job of spinning the water from the clothes.

I was hesitant reading reviews, but we love this washer. Not too loud, cleans well, can handle king size comforter. No complaints so far.

Ok, so doing research for the perfect washing machine is not an easy task. It takes time and dedication to compare all of your wants and the many different options. I did not want a front loader (had one and did not care for it), I absolutely wanted a top loader with an agitator. This washer was recommended to me by a trusted friend, I looked at the reviews, some good - some not so good. People saying it was loud, their clothes not getting clean, wrinkled, etc. I was nervous to pull the trigger, but after three weeks, the clothes were piling up. I had the washer installed and my old one taken away, so much more convenient doing it this way. The only issue we had was when they installed it, the hose was short and barely reached the drain. But it is fine and I absolutely love this machine. It is not any louder than my previous one and my clothes are clean. The other thing I want to mention was my concern that the cycle would take forever as was the case with the front loader (over an hour for one load). Not so, it washes very quickly and spins the clothes really well. Just shake them out and put them in the dryer, no problem. I would recommend this washer for sure!

I purchased this for my mother-in-law to replace her broken front load washer. This unit does exactly what she needs it to do. Simple and still high efficient. You can not beat the price either.

Good basic sturdy washer with plenty of room. Does what it needs to without needless electronics. A little on the noisy side. Overall a good value for the price.

This washer is a great deal for the price! Runs a little louder than expected, but still a great washer! Does a great job washing greasy work clothes! Overall, very happy we got this one!

I bought this washer as a second choice and I'm glad the first choice wasn't available. This has more than enough cycle choices for me (9). I like the 4 soil level choices, the 5 wash temps and the second rinse option. Other reviewers complained that it was noisy, but I don't agree. It is much quieter than the 22 year old Kenmore it replaced. It took a bit of getting used to not filling up as much with water, but the clothes seem clean enough. Someone else had said they had problems with uneven loads taking awhile to sort themselves out, but I have washed loads of towels and loads of bedding and have had no problems. I believe I've made a good choice.

This is my 4th Whirlpool since 1970 and the one I just replaced worked well but the top underneath the dispenser started rusting. I didn't want a more expensive model with digital controls which are expensive to repair. This one is basic and easy to use. Being an HE model the agitator makes a rather strange noise but it works just fine. If you wash for a large family you might want a model with a larger capacity but this size is perfect for my wife and I. It was great to find it on sale and I used my BB rewards coupon for an even greater savings.

Economical, affordable and easy to use. Clothes wash well and quickly. Would recommend for anyone looking for an affordable, no frills, washer.

This is the first high-efficiency washing machine I've used and I am very pleased with it. It took a bit of getting used to at first, since I've always used regular top-loading models before. The size is good, plenty big enough for anything I need to wash, and the price was nice.

This washer holds twice as much as my old one. Like the soil choice. Husband works with wood and his soil level is high. Mine is low. This washer cleans great. Thanks.

This is a great High Ef. washer for under $400. I would have loved to gone with a non agitator system but on a budget this machine is a great upgrade from our last 10year old washer that died. Highley reccomend!
