Customers are saying
Customers admire the 3.5 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle Top-Loading Washer's cleaning performance, ease of use, and value for the price. Many appreciate its large capacity and the inclusion of an agitator. However, some customers find the washer noisy, particularly during the spin cycle, and have expressed concerns about the lid lock mechanism. A few also mentioned that the washer's interior is smaller than expected.

Nice Look and High Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I needed! Looks nice and washes the clothes well. Doesn't make as loud of a noise as my old one. Its a champ at washing blankets and heavy loads. Love it so far.

Good, old-fashioned washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's what I wanted. No bells and whistles. I can adjust the water level, which the High Efficiency machines don't allow. I also like having the agitator. Although it takes up more space in the tub others have said that clothes get tangled in the washers that don't have agitators. My only concern is the pause/stop button. That seems vulnerable to wear and tear. Also I would like to be able to open the washer at any time without the lid locking. Once you choose a wash load size (water level) and it fills to that point, you cannot change it to enlarge it to add more water. My old Whirlpool allowed me to lift the lid and change water level while still in the pre-wash cycle. It's probably intended for "safety". We all know how dangerous washing machines can be :)

Seems well enough so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quiet and seems to clean clothes well. Spins clothes nearly dry. Coming from a 20 year old Whirlpool and this new one is nowhere near as heavily engineered. Time will tell on longevity. Two gripes, the cbeap plastic drainhose that comes with it was split down the seam. Should come with a real rubber drainhose. Second, the lid locks when it's closed, hate that.

Right amount of settings for easy use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washes well and has plenty of settings. I don't like that it locks once you turn it on so you are unable to open the lid while in process. Also, it makes a loud popping noise when it changes cycles. I thought something was wrong with it (still not convinced this normal) but I've checked and can't find anything that would be causing this noise.

Good for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price is right, has enough basic function for normal household, not the most quiet but not bad considering it is in my laundry room. Looks nice and MADE IN THE USA.

This washer gets the job done.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the small cost we are happy with it. I don't think it is as sturdy as our previous washer, but I don't think they make them to last like they did 15 years ago..

Simple and great value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer is simple to use and appears to work well. Some of the other machines seem to be overly complex and take forever to finish it's cycles. It was a very good value

I returned my HE washer for a Traditional
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the last standard model in stores that Whirlpool offers. The high efficiency model ate my clothes and towels. The washplates on those snag items and the friction of clothes rubbing with very little water makes them wear faster. This model, however, is just like mom's. I am sure glad the traditional time-tested design with agitator and a full load of water is still available. I wonder what we'll all do in the next decade?!

Cleans clothes great and saves energy.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I were looking for a replacement for our 20 year old top loading washer which was worn out. We wanted a replacement washer that was reasonably priced, easy to use, cleaned clothes well and fit in our available space. This Whirlpool model met and actually exceeded our expectations. It cleans extremely well, even dingy old white socks. We do not have to use any special detergents. It has plenty of control settings to minimize water usage. We wash a lot of pet towels and it has plenty of capacity and cleaning power for those. Our clothes come out of the washer almost dry, so that saves energy for our electric dryer. We have done almost 20 loads of wash of all types since our new washer was installed two weeks ago and it got everything very clean. The noice level is acceptable and the vibration level is very low. We like the control panel status lights so we can tell how far along in the washing cycle it is. We must also comment that Best Buy's delivery team did an excellent job in removing our old washer and installing our new Whirlpool. They arrived on time, were very careful in moving through our house and only took about 30 minutes to install our new washer. We would definitely recommend this Whirlpool model to our friends.

GREAT WASHER!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldn't wait to get rid of my new wave old washer with the energy saving features and that short agitator! I'm sorry....I'm old school. I would have bought a front loader, which I have experienced because I've used them, but I have space constraints and did have enough room to open the door properly. So......this machine does what I want! It agitates and moves clothes and gets them CLEAN. Bottom line for a washer. OKAY!!!!! And it's NOT NOISY! HALLELUJAH!

Back to the trusted brand.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our old Whirlpool had to be replaced after 25+ years. That was 2 years ago. We bought a different brand and had to replace that one because of a cracked motor. We're back to the old reliable and haven't been disappointed.

Simple Down to Earth Washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great washer with the center paddles that really wash the clothes clean. No water saving weakling here, this thing does everything you need very efficiently, yet does not need special HE detergent to do it's job.

Wish for old school
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really don't like the washer. Things I don't like: 1. I like to fill my machine (before I put the cloths in), while doing other chores. This washer empties out all your soap and hot water if you do not fill it right away. Make sure not to answer the phone or doorbell and avoid any distractions while you're starting your load. 2. I don't like the locking lid. You can't tell the extent of agitation or if it is actually agitating or just making noise. 3. I don't like the fact that I can't re-set a load. Be aware: if you try, it will dump all your water and soap and you will have to use more of everything for that load. Not very cost effective. '
