Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the ease of use, cleaning performance, and large capacity of this 4.7 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer with Pretreat Station. Many appreciate the inclusion of an agitator and the convenient pretreat station. However, some customers have noted that the washer can be noisy during operation and expressed concerns about its long-term reliability. The size of the washer's tub was also a positive feature for many users.

Day 1 and I will update you on the washer- service was ok, Things to look out for so your washer has a good first start. 1-make sure when they hook up your washer to the water hose they don’t strip the hook up on the washer - it’s plastic. 2. Don’t let them leave until they level the washer using a leveler - my mistake - was not done. 3. Make sure your drainage hose is secure. - it is a bit noisy but that does not bother me. It seems to work well. I like the washer and hope for the best- you only have 2wks to make sure it works well or you need to deal with Whirlpool not Best Buy. Wash different types of laundry so you know it works well.

Very pleased with performance so far. Had to pay more than the last washer but the last washer only lasted not quite 3 years. Easy to use once you figure out all of the buttons. deep tub with the agitator

4.7 size Washer with mixed reviews.

Pros: the capacity is amazing. My parents have this exact washer, but they have the bigger 5.5 load with an impeller. This 4.7 size is better for me because with my parent’s machine, I had to lean on the machine and reach way down to get the clothes out and I don’t like outrun gym stomach on top of the machine to balance myself. My parents use tongs to get the clothes out of their 5.5 load, so this 4.7 model I have no issue getting my clothes out and washing my king size comforter with ease. I also REALLY ENJOY the clear lid so I can see what’s happening during the wash cycle. The tub is a nice shiny metal which looks really good. I’m coming from an Amana washer, which I enjoyed, that I’ve had since 2013 but all the pros I mentioned above are advantages the Amana didn’t have. Cons: 1. not a fan of everything being so technological with touch functions and sensors. The more technology a machine has, the more likely you are to face repairs. 2. The agitator appears too small for the tub size. Watching the agitator work, the clothes just sort of slowly circulate around the tub without being pushed from the top to the bottom. Whirlpool, if they care about their customers, really need to get back to the drawing board and develop a more effective agitator for this machine that actually pushes the clothes around and up and down the machine. 3. “High Effecieny” it was a learning curve for me to work around the low water functions, but I found out if I turned the machine on certain touch pad functions, I could adjust the water level to max fill or high fill by touching the Deep Water or Deep Fill button at the bottom when I have selected the type of wash I wanted. Reading reviews, it appears the older crowd, no offense, is having a hard time changing the water level and their clothes end up dry. I hope they are reading my review and they start to play with the functions of Deep Fill so their clothes will actually be submerged. I know this is a dumb government regulation that is in effect, but the touch keys are too hard for some of the older people to understand which is why they think they can’t submerge the clothes. Make a more simple Machine with a larger capacity. 4. This machine is in fact WAY TOO LOUD.

I like the machine. The tub is a lot larger than I thought. The features are not that easy to follow. I would have liked a hands-on demo to familiarize myself with the features of the machine. The agitator is great during the washing procedure and helps with the spinning/cleaning.

I love this washer and almost everything about it. The ONLY negative is that it is very loud when it spins out. It doesn't move, and it's balanced, but it's still super loud. All the additional features and settings are amazing, though and I love the huge capacity of this model.

Does a Great job but it is noisy. Love the extra features such as the water available in the machine for treating stains. The only thing is that the men who installed the machine, placed it to close to the doors and since I am 84 can not move them back so I can close the doors. I do not have a smart phone to post pictures either.

This washer looks great with the dark lid contrasting against the white body. I love the clear lid so I can see the spin cycle if something sounds off with our load. It has an agitator (that central column that beats against your clothes to clean them as it spins) which is wonderful since we have kids that manage to get everything dirty. The agitator can be easily removed for people that prefer an impeller. We’re glad we purchased it and would happily purchase it again.

I would definitely recommend. Some people said it was noisy. But I don’t feel that it’s noisy. My other washing that was an older model by whirlpool made a lot of noise. For me this is a game changer. I love it and for the price it really does it’s work.

Only had this washer for about a month but have completed about a dozen loads of laundry. No issues whatsoever. Fully electronic instructions takes some getting used to but it's a great machine that is tough on stains (love the pre-treat station) and can effectively wash king-size comforters. Overall, a great buy (especially with Labor Day sale incentives). I wish I had purchased the matching dryer at the same time.

Love the looks and feel of our new washer. It's solid and the door opens easily and stays up. It's quiet and efficient. We had a different brand we did not like that was super noisy, the clothes kept getting bunged up and getting off balance even small loads. It felt tinny and low quality. This one looks and feels solid and works great.

Love the simplicity of the machine. Does the work completely and there’s no second guessing on whether or not your clothes get completely clean because you are in control of everything with a few touches of the buttons.

We are a large family so having a large washing machine is a must. We are very happy with this machine, both because it cleans better and faster than our old Samsung, and because it can do the multiple daily loads we put it through.

Washer really rolls the clothes over. The features are fantastic. The spot remover and water faucet is fantastic. The machine is quiet. I like the dispensers. The capacity really helps do more with less. I recommend this Whirlpool because it spins without vibration, something lesser priced machines don’t do well. You will be happy with this machine and it’s options.

Only had it for a week and so far so good. I'm a fan of Whirlpool products. I chose top loader because side loaders get a lot of mildew in the gasket and start to smell. This washer has a lot of options and I love the pretreat station.

I love this machine. It’s a stark contrast from what we had been using - a Magic Chef that was left in our home when we moved in. It has a much larger capacity than we are used to, and love the auto fill function to get the proper amount of water for the load. We decided that loading laundry detergent per load was preferable, because we mix up what we wash - soil levels for pets or work clothing, delicates and all whites that we want to oxyclean, etc and having a liter preloaded seems excessive. I’m sure the convenience is wonderful, but we have added detergent for each load my whole life - so it’s as convenient as we are used to. I like the one-tap water dispense, so you can soak or pre-treat shirt collars before closing the lid to start the wash. It’s quiet, it’s pretty and well designed. Everyone has an opinion about the agitator. Not qualified to talk to the differences, so we stuck with what we know. Heck, I’d buy it again

This is an amazing washer, sleek updated yet traditional look. We replaced our front loaders with this set, and could not be happier. It washes bigger loads, and is so much easier to load and unload than the front loaders. I like the treating station, but it is more like a waterfall than a faucet, it's just being able to use the fill function with the push of a button. It's quiet and looks great! So far so good!

This machine had the features we wanted. I wanted a deep water option that I could use with any setting. Some machines only allow deep water with the jean/heavy setting. This also had the water fountain we wanted and was reasonably priced. the biggest downside is, its incredibly noisy in the spin cycle. Our machine is on the main floor in a closet and its way too loud. thats why the 4 stars instead of 5.
