Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the 4.8 Cu. Ft. 27-Cycle Top-Loading Washer's excellent cleaning performance, large capacity, and ease of use. Many also appreciate its relatively quiet operation and the compact size. While some users find the spin cycle noisy or occasionally problematic, the positive feedback on cleaning, capacity, and user-friendliness outweighs these concerns. The attractive color is also a frequently cited plus.

After 2 Years you will need a new washer

I purchased the washer on 02/29/2019. In order for the washer to even attempt to wash your clothes you have to complete small batches and use the deep water setting. Also the lid just crumbled to pieces and now I have to purchase a brand new washer as the lid replacement alone is $300+ dollars. Whirlpool should be ashamed. This is not cheap and nor should customer needs to replace their washers after 2 years

After 23 days the computer died and the washer stopped working. This was past Best Buy’s warranty so I had to go directly to Whirlpool. They repaired with a new part but wouldn’t replace the washer. Now I’m worried it will break down on day 366. Unacceptable

Machine has been in the house for 15 days and was working good. Today, day 15, it will not stay on. Cycle starts and stops within 2-3 minutes. I would not recommend this machine to anyone.

New Owner - Still In The Testing Phase

I purchased the White set because I didn't want to wait a month for this color (Chrome Shadow). I took delivery this past Saturday. Anyway, I've run a couple of different loads (currently washing my Queen size bedding that was on my bed in one load - comforter, sheets and 6 pillowcases). The low-water technology is interesting, and so is the Impeller, which is new to me. Big ups for the engineering! So far, everything has come out clean, and that's all I care about. I'm using liquid HE detergent ... I've never been a fan of powdered detergent due to possible residue issues. The smell is amazing. I love it! I think the wash cycles are entirely too long. A normal load of colors or whites shouldn't take an hour from beginning to end. The Bedding/Bulky cycle runs for 90 minutes! That's ridiculous. Commercial washers (your local laundromat) don't take that long. I haven't had issues with balancing, and my clothing articles are of various weights. My hot water is hot enough, but Whirlpool really should add a water heater to this model. They also need to produce this pair in one more color - Merlot (that dark red color, like the wine). It'll sell, trust me! As for the dryer, it works great! My clothes come out dry every time on the first go-round. No need to repeat drying cycles if you follow the directions. The operating noise levels for both are acceptable to me. I'll update this review in about 60 days.

    Great washing machine for families

There were a lot of mixed reviews on this washer but I liked the style and it seemed to wash no different than any other. I read in the instruction manual to load clothes evenly around the wash plate for best performance- I did. This washer washes 2x more clothes than my other and our clothes come out clean. With a family I always have a large load and wash in deep water most of the time. My clothes cycle through great (even recorded it). The negative reviews must be lemons or they don’t know how to use the washer. Love the washer and wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. Also Best Buy’s delivery team was great!

    Very Satisfied

This machine has been great to us so far. We have washed everything in the house including king size sheets and comforters with great results. The spin cycle balance's well and get the load much drier than our previous washer. The faucet feature has been a major hit. We use it much more than we thought we would. This washer and matching drier also keep their width all the way up to the lid leaving plenty room to fold and stack clothes when taking them out of the drier. When we first got the machine i would literally sit and watch the entire cycle to make sure the clothes and sheets were turning over and they do. sometimes it takes longer than others, but it still does it. we found some cycles didn't perform as well as others depending on the garments, but we have learned the washer and learned how to best load it depending on what goes in. I think some of the negative reviews would no be so if they were patient and learned their machine before trashing it. I can't complain about it. it does every bit as good a job as any other HE washer i have ever been around and it isn't harsh on our clothes. P.S. the extra water with the deep fill does not help with items that want to float. we have found it washes better without most of the time.

    Buyer Beware

***UPDATE*** I was contacted by the Whirlpool Social Media Care Team regarding my poor review. The care team is a complete farce, unhelpful, and was another waste of my time. The only suggested resolution was to continue scheduling repair attempts. I've now missed 4 days of work waiting for repair attempts and have zero confidence in resolution of this matter. ***UPDATE*** We purchased this wash machine in January 2018 and its been nothing but a headache. -The glass lid is separating from the bezel and has a sharp edge that slices your fingers -Towards end of spin cycle, the machine makes an abnormal screeching noise (In youtube video below) -An obnoxious tick noise occurs during spin cycle, not during tests, only when clothes are actually in tub. (In youtube video below) -We've had 4 error codes on separate occasions: - Water pressure sensor failure (f3e1), - Water ring detected (f9e2) - Long drain (f9e1) - UI Mismatch after new control board installed(f2e3) Factory repair service verified all issues and ordered a new control board and rotor assembly. The parts were originally out of stock but I called Whirlpool and they were able to rush ship. A week and a half later, at the second appointment, factor repair service installed the new control board and it immediately failed with a UI Mismatch (f2e3). The technician is ordering the same exact part and will try again. The spin cycle is still making a tick noise even with new rotor assembly. A new glass cover was also ordered after factory technician verified the glass was separating from the bezel. My 4th scheduled repair is later week. The worst part of all, when the machine was functioning, our clothes were never actually cleaned. -Lint and debris is left on the clothing -Clothes remain dirty and unclean -Clothes continuously smell worn and not fresh after wash I am an understanding person and realize faulty equipment can often be expected. This product generally has good reviews (reason I purchased). I believe in giving a good company, the opportunity to make a situation right. What frustrates me here, is Whirlpool's lack of compassion, consumer insensitivity, and apathy in resolving the matter. There is no resolution in sight and I am beyond frustrated with my time spent attempting repairs and for being without a properly working washing machine for over three weeks. I truly regret making this purchase and I'm convinced we've purchased a lemon. I wish we could turn back time and pick a different unit. I created a YouTube video of issues, but BestBuy review guidelines say no URLs. You can search for "Whirlpool washing machine wtw7500gc" or my username: birdsofprey02

I should not have to argue with this machine about how to wash my clothes. This machine should not be able to run while it is unplugged, i have no idea how or why this has an internal battery. This refuses to use enough water to wash your clothes. You cannot interrupt cycles, even if you unplug it, it will continue the cycle and waste everything you put in it. Every time I dare wash my clothes I have to argue with this thing about the cycle I want to use. Just let me pick my cycle, don't argue with me about it, I know how to do laundry. Had to remove the rear panel and add a heatsink because they misengineered this to overheat if you dare use more than one cycle in a row. Just give me a knob. I am done with these poorly programmed, half baked computers.

This washer replaced a 13 year old Kenmore which I believe to have been made by Whirlpool. I had no idea that there would be so much difference in the sound level plus the room no longer shakes during the spin cycle.
