service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our Washer and Dryer were delivered set up and told run 2 cycles before we wash with clothers. Delivery person started washer and left. We left the utility room for a bit and then relized the room was flooded also went into our downstairs . Tried to call the Best Buy put on hold for 45 mins then talked to a person who was very nice but forwarded to another department for a 2 hr wait. Came next day and fixed problem. Been trying for hours trying to get help with flooding problem and so far nothing. Unbelievable so wish and bought somewhere else.

Poor manufacturing quality and service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whirlpool washer 'control board' failed after a few years of light use. Whirlpool authorized factory repair was unable to fix due to repair parts being no longer available. Whirlpool Customer service response was horrible throughout the process. Unfortunately, the Whirlpool brand is not what it used to be.

Looks great! Wrinkles clothes-problem touch scree
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this washer (and matching companion dryer) new in January 2020 from authorized Whirlpool dealer based on past history of Whirlpool brand quality. After using now for several months it has been a disappointment compared to our old Amana washer with traditional agitator and knob type controls. Pros: This machine really has a nice appearance with the dark color, black glass lid and black touch control panel. Large tub is great for bedding and comforters. No more trips to laundromat for large bulky items. Cons: This machine wrinkles most clothes regardless of spin settings and seems to only wash correctly when filled with a large to very large load of clothing. This energy efficient style does not use much water and even using the 'deep water' setting does not use enough water to even half soak the load. Also this machine takes much longer to complete a wash cycle than any of our prior washers. Now in our 6th month of usage, the machine now is developing an intermittent problem where you can turn the power on but it won't accept a setting when you push any of the 'what to wash' buttons, you just hear a double beep. Sometimes you can shut the power off and turn it back on to rectify this. I have not called for service as I presume this will not act up when a repair technician responds since this condition is intermittent and occurs only a few times a week. I did purchase the extended warranty from the Whirlpool site but am really thinking of purchasing another brand and going back to the style with an agitator. A great looking machine but a surprising disappointment from Whirlpool.

Horrible / Does not work!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t typically write reviews but I was so upset about this I logged in so I can write this review. I was very excited to get a new washer and dryer and chose this one and the matching dryer because they look nice and I wanted a top loader. Also I had thought that whirlpool was a good brand. I am coming from the old-school kind of washer and dryer that I had for almost 10 years - and never had any problems with them. I am not a picky person... but the sensors are complete junk on these things and I think are the reason for them not working. I just can’t get the washer to start and fill up with water to wash the clothes and the dryer because of the sensors it stops without drying everything single time. I have tried to unplug it and plug it in still does not fill up with water. Then gives error codes. I have called Whirlpool in Best Buy several times to try to get this thing fixed. I also spent $310 on the three year extended warranty just because I just want these things to work. What I really want is my money back so I can buy something else and I would probably just stick with the old-school washers without all the sensors. I’ve only had them for a couple months and I’ve already had visits for repair people three times. We continue to get the runaround from Best Buy.

Manufacturing defect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lid design on this is flawed. The hinges in the door break the lid. Started months after purchase. Contacted Whirlpool without response. Finally gave out. Husband did everything he could to keep it together. Would not purchase again and will not purchase other Whirlpool items due to this.

Awesome performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical of machines without agitators but after using this one I couldn’t even tell the difference only that my dark clothes would actually retain color and not bleed out .

Wish it lasted longer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it new in 2019. December of 2022 it started dripping water into the tub. Had to replace one thing and then the motherboard Ended up having water damage due to the broken item that needed to be changed. Just out of warranty. Lasted me 3 years.

Total hot garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer based on reviews and the convenience of the faucet inside the tub. This is the worst washer I've ever owned. Never balanced, forget about washing bed comforters, constantly touchy controls, constant low flow errors, poor wash quality. I can't believe I replaced a front load with this junk. Get a top load with an agitator or a front load!

Doesn't last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Less than 2 years and it's already broken. Spin cycle won't run, and lid won't lock(have to put pressure on the door to lock)/unlock for the cycle(washer has to fully power down for lid to unlock. Within our first year the washer became extremely loud during the spin cycle but it was working and seemed to be working fine. Just extremely loud, then went to use it this weekend and it was dead... Now I get to fight with whirlpool and best to have the Maine implied warranty honored.

Get used to Ofb
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had my machine installed by Best Buy, I have checked to make sure unit is still level per installation directions, and after 1 week, we cannot get a load to go without having to pull the clothes out or adjusting the load. The bonus is I no longer need a gym membership as I get my stairs in for the day and my weight lifting pulling and readjusting my load. I am going on 24 hours to do 3 loads. I even go as far as pulling everything out of the washer and sorting them from the heaviest to the lightest, equally distributing them around the base when I re-load the washer. About 10 minutes later I can hear the annoying DING DING....DING DING.....making me start to fume. Not 1 load no matter how light or heavy makes it through a cycle after the first week without having to be adjusted 3-5 times. About ready to eat my investment in a "Nice" washer and go back to my 20 year old washer, or by a cheap one without the technology!!

Spins too long and too fast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first machine was so loud when spinning that it sounded like it was not level. Best Buy sent the plumbers back. The plumbers said that the machine was level, determining that the machine was defective. They ordered and installed a replacement from Best Buy. The new one isn't much better. It sometimes make an annoying squeaking when spinning. When using the delicate cycle and choosing the lightly soiled option, the machine still runs way too long and spins way too fast. My well-used dish towels now have holes in them. When washing sheets, I have had the entire top sheet gather all the other items under it, looking like a mushroom when the wash is done.

Defective!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The washer was installed on 1/10/18. On 3/16/18 it stopped working completely. Whirlpool sent a repairman who said it was a defective water input valve and all the parts are out of stock. Best Buy won't replace. Very disappointed!

Don't buy whirlpool w/out agitator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this top loader Sept. 2019 because I was very happy with my two previous Whirlpool W/D. From day one, i realized how poor choice I had made. I tried to call Whirlpool / Best Buy with no result. Three years later, most of the time I'm still washing clothes twice, sometimes remove residue by hand washing after comes out of machine. These are for small items. Forget sheets, or any kind of bedding. Just to save few drop of water, they designed a disaster that end up causing all kinds of problem.

regret buying
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Regret, regret, regret! Washer was installed on 3/9/19, have already had the motherboard replaced. It fixed the issue, but now the washer doesn't clean items well, socks come out looking the same. Sheets and blankets washed together is a guarantee to go off balance (constantly), end up having to pull items out and do separately. Taking up a lot of precious time. Residue is left on darker clothing. even though I dilute the soap, and use less than recommended. I'm so saddened by the issues with this washer, and it's matching dryer which just had it's second repair today. Praying this fixed the issue but I don't have much hope.

Not the greatest
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the greatest, the side hinge broke for the third time, and whirlpool is the worse about their recommendations. Had geek squad serviced it several times however, my warranty expired. Best Buy itself it’s great but I’m staying away from whirlpool from now on.
