The pedestal serves its purpose, but when you pair it with a washer, it vibrates and makes a lot of noise on the spin cycle. One flaw in the design is with the 2 metal bars that are used to hold/slide the bucket. These bars are not held in place very well. Towards the front, the bars are held in by a screw, which ensures a snug fit that won't move. Towards the back, it's basically resting on a metal slot. When the washer begins to vibrate, the back portion of these bars will vibrate and make a bunch of noise: you will definitely hear the metal clanking against itself. Additionally, the sheet metal on the outside of the pedestal has no supports to keep it from wobbling. Imagine hitting a large sheet of metal in the center and seeing how it wobbles, same thing here. My solution was to use some thick foam insulation to place some pressure between the bar and the metal siding. This prevents the bars from jostling around and the metal sheet from vibrating too much. This has helped a lot. See images attached of my solution.

After 4 years I finally got the pedestals……I wish I got them sooner. Good storage and definitely easier on my back. Also makes them look better like I got a brand new set.

Very nice item, raises the washer up to where it's easy to get clothes in and out, also good size storage drawer.

This pedestal is great for storage. It also provides an easily accessible height for adults and children alike. The color matches our washer and dryer perfectly. Overall very happy with this purchase!

After replacing my Samsung top load washer and dryer partially because my wife couldn't reach the bottom these whirlpool drawers are very helpful in organizing everything and keeping it neat and puts the washer and dryer at the perfect height for everybody comfortably do laundry

Just had install last week. So far so good & useful extra storage place.

I replaced a 16 year old Whirlpool Duet set which had metal pedestals so these were disappointing. The back is open & these are fairly flimsy. They don't latch closed very well and only have one middle divider compared to the two the old ones had. They are basic and get the job done, but Whirlpool definitely went cheap on these.

If you are considering this product I highly recommend it. The only reason why I recommend it is for comfort and extra storage. This product allows for the washer and dryer to be lifted up off the ground which helps with the ease of access. Without this product every time you wash or dry clothes you are going to be bending and slouching over to fill and empty units. At first it may not seem like a big deal but with someone that has a history of back issues this is highly recommended. It makes it 100% easier to load and unload. The price was awesome, was lucky enough to purchase during buy one get one free. Highly recommended, you will not regret it.

Very roomy and spacious. Easy to install. Makes washer and dryer the perfect hieght. I would highly recommend this item. They are the same for washer and dryer.

We have the Whirlpool laundry pedestals for both our washer and our dryer. It has convenient storage drawer for clothes pins, detergent and fabric softeners. The major benefit to us is the elevation of the appliance openings for filling or removing clothes - saving us from aching back.

This will be the second set of pedestals we purchased and in my opinion they are required for front loading washers & dryers. The price does shock you but when you consider you'll get 10 - 15 years use out of them, it's a "back saving bargain". Otherwise, without them you you'll be stooping down every time you deal with either the washer or dryer unless you stack them. Then you'll only be a single stooper :). The storage drawer is very, very handy for laundry related stuff as well.

I love them. They lifted the units to the perfect loading and unloading heights. The drawer is very useful and the storage space is good.

Love the pedestals so glad I decided to get them. They have great storage capacity and I love the fact I don’t have to bend over to load or unload the washer and dryer

No more bending over to load and unload. Not more detergents cluttering already tight counter space. Plenty of drawer space. A little too expensive. Should be half the price.

My 1st washer was a lemon! No one would help me. The service department was suppose to come out, then cancelled because the person said it was to far. My machine had my towels held hostage. Couldn't open door of washer. I went to the store a week later, talked with the manager. He said lets get you a new machine. I'm a happy camper. I was totally taken care of. No questions.
