Great device but limited functionality.

Although it is heavier duty I would pass up on the remote for an off tiner function and a full front aire intake. Overall though, Winix brand has been great. It is low noise and effective. I also appreciated the air quality sensors. This particular model has been very effective!

The light will not go off, but I just put a post-it note over it and you cannot see it. We have replaced our white noise machine and now use the air purifier. So it does make a substantial fan noise- just an FYI.

I was told not to spend a lot of money that it wouldn't make a difference if I did and just to get one for a room that is used the most. Seems to be effective.

But it did not help with the sMell I think. When i cook, I can still smell the lingering smell of garlic spices etc...
