I am a technology skeptic and always feel as though new products don't live up to the hype. Bar none, this did. Color me impressed. Gobsmacked even.

Replaced an old router with this and my wifi speed instantly doubled. I was maxed out at 90 mbps download before and now I get 200+. Great router and easy to set up, all done on your phone.

I bought Portal because of it's beautiful shape and without those ugly antennas sticking out like most of the routers today. I am equally impressed with it's "beast" like performance. I subscribe to Comcast internet Pro with 200M+ speed and I am getting max speed with my MS Surface 4 and Pixel phone connection. Portal blanketed my 2,700 sq. ft house with strong WiFi connections. I am recommending it to all my friends who are suffering from slow WiFi connections.

This is the best router I have ever found. Every other router I've owned has had issues dropping out or signal loss over time, which only ever seemed to be resolved by restarting them at inopportune times. I have owned the Portal router since they first launched on Kickstarter and have NEVER had an issue with it. I cannot possibly recommend this router enough.

I purchased this router when they started off with kick starter. I would say I'm very knowledgeable about routers and the different brands and specifications of many of them. This router has all the bells and whistles of the other top of the line routers (with more coming) along with advanced features and specs many others don't have; more 5GHz spectrum is pretty nice.

It's impressive when you pay for 50mb internet speeds and you get a portal and find your flying at close to 100mb most days. That is exactly my experience. Through my cable modem I could only hit the max speeds the cable company put in place. Once portal is in place you find you can move at much faster speeds. Get one you won't be disappointed.

Easy to set up, just plug-and-play. The app allows you to have complete control of who accesses your wifi (guests etc). I have communicated with the tech support team and they were very responsive and resolved my minor issue quickly. It works great and is always FAST!

Setup with the app was the simplest I've ever done, literally a couple clicks. The huge advantage should be in a dense city/apartment, but I'm in a typical suburb and my wifi speed still doubled from 60Mbs to 120Mbs, this product delivers!

This is a fantastic router to manage multiple uses. I'm able to run my 2 gigahertz devices and my smarter 5gHz devices all at the same time...very cool product.

Love this router. I have gigabit service and get about 500mb down and up. Would buy this again with out a doubt!

I was one of the backers at the Kickstarter website for this product. For common users Portal is a good and simple solution to have a stable and fast Wifi connection. For the more advanced users I wouldn't perse recommend Portal. There aren't much setting possibilities...
