This is one of those devices I didn’t think I would need. My current scale only measures weight and I body fat percentage. This innovative device has revolutionized the way I monitor my health and has become an essential companion on my wellness journey. With its ability to measure body fat percentage, body mass, bone mass, heart rate, and even metabolic age, this smart scale offers a comprehensive overview of my overall health status. The app was easy to setup, I simply followed the steps to connect to the scale, enter my height and weight, allow it to access my iPhone health data and the app was setup.
One of the standout features of the Withings smart scale is its accuracy. I compared the heartrate from the scale to my apple watch and it was the same. I have found the measurements to be consistent, providing reliable data that helps me track my progress and set realistic goals. The scale seamlessly syncs with the Withings Health Mate app, which displays my results in an intuitive and easy-to-understand format. The app also allows me to set personal targets, monitor trends, view historical data, compare my fitness level to others so I know where I stand.
The inclusion of body fat percentage and bone mass measurements has been particularly valuable to me. These metrics provide a more holistic understanding of my body composition, going beyond weight alone. I’ve been trying to exercise more, mostly cardio type workouts, and eating less bad carbs. By tracking changes in body fat percentage, I can assess the effectiveness of my fitness routine and adjust my nutrition accordingly. Having the body fat percentage can be encouraging as well, provided it decreases.
Lastly, I appreciate the sleek and modern design of the Withings smart scale. Its slim profile and minimalist aesthetic make it a seamless addition to my bathroom décor. The scale itself feels sturdy and well-built, instilling confidence in its durability and long-term reliability. They also include rubber feet for carpeting, which I don’t need, but can appreciate.
In conclusion, the Withings smart scale is a game-changer for anyone looking to take control of their health and well-being. Its accurate measurements, comprehensive health tracking capabilities, and seamless integration with the Health Mate app make it an invaluable tool. I highly recommend this smart scale to anyone committed to living a healthier lifestyle and monitoring their progress along the way. At the end of the day, it’s a tool. Like any other thing else, if you are not committed to your health, to changing exercise and eating habits, the smartest scale can only do so much.

Withings has another great weigh scale...the Body Comp Complete Body Analysis Smart WiFi Scale. This tracks what my previous Withings scale would track plus a few more important health measurements. The Body Comp tracks the following: weight, heart rate, muscle mass, fat mass, bone mass, vascular age, pulse wave velocity, and electrodermal activity. With the app connected to the scale, it will track all of that plus fitness level, daily steps, average hear rate, walking pace, calories burned, etc. if you allow it to access health apps on your Apple device. The app also will show you the battery percentage.
Using the Body Comp is simple, just stand on it while it takes the measurements which takes about 15 seconds. You can also set it to show you high/low temps for your area as well as air quality. There are a lot of features with this scale.
Overall, I like the quality of the scale and really like the additional features that I didn't have on my previous Withings scale. If you are health conscience and want to be able to track your health with ease, then consider the Body Comp. Withings has done a great job adding features to this scale. I would recommend considering this if you are looking for a new scale or looking to replace your existing scale.

Dont waste your money. I ignored all the bad reviews but they are all right, none of the extra features work. It weighs you and can tell you the weather thats it. Body scan and all fhat extra stuff does not work ever.

I bought this scale specifically to measure my body fat %. I workout 6 days a week. I had my body fat measured at my doctor's office using a DEXA scan and my body fat is around 15%. This stupid scale keeps telling me that im 21% body fat. If I put it inot Athlete mode, it says my body fat is 9%. It's so inaccurate that my gf asks me why I'm yelling at the scales every morning. So don't buy this if your goal is to track your body fat.

I picked this scale up one day and spent the next 13 hours trying to get it to pair with my wifi. I followed all the given instructions by Withings many, many times with no success. There is absolutely no live support available. Don't waste your money unless you love frustration. I had to give some rating based on stars. A no star at all isn't an option.

I was most pleasantly surprised by my Withings scale and the ease with which I was able to set it up, connect to wifi, and - most importantly - share it with others in my household.
Withings clearly thought through the use cases here and made this, simply, a breeze to do. From a functionality perspective it comes preset with various "screens" that scroll through while you're on the scale, and you can change their order and even add/remove them from the rotation with ease via the app.
If users of the scale are different enough in their weights, it automatically picks who it thinks is on the scale at the time, with an easy option to change the user by simply "leaning" left or right on the scale to cycle through available users - ingenious!
The display is clear and bright and the app tracks not only your daily metrics but can also be wired into Google Fit and receive your step counts, workouts throughout the day or, if you're not using Google Fit, it can track these for you itself.
The various metrics it collects make sense and are thoroughly explained in-app, and I've enjoyed learning more about them and seeing how my body ranks.

Unfortunately zero stars is not an option. I tried two different Withings Body Comp scales and they both failed to obtain Body Composition readings. The first one never worked even after profuse troubleshooting with tech support. The second one was hit or miss where reading would work 1 out of every 5 tries.

TLDR: While the Withings is an interesting take on health, it is just another product that doesn’t do much more than you can get with your phone and/or smart watch.
INTRODUCTION
The Withings Body Comp Scale packs a bunch of features and tech into a product most probably never give 2 thoughts about. The scale wants to be your one-stop place for health and fitness information and offers insights into not only your weight, but your body’s overall health and condition. The Withings scales measures: Body Composition, Heart Health, Electrodermal Activity, Nutrition, and even includes the weather forecast and air quality.
Subscribing to Withings+ unlocks even more features within the app and allows for tracking trends, nutrition, and exercise guidance, etc. Withings has wisely chosen to integrate their scale with (according to their website) over 100 different fitness apps. This includes the heavy hitters like Apple Fitness, FitBit, and in my case, Samsung Health. Great job Withings.
USE
The best & worst part of the Body Comp scale is the ability to measure your body composition, including Fat Mass, Muscle Mass, Bone Density, and Visceral Fat. In addition, the scale can give you an overview of your cardiovascular health by giving you an estimate of your vascular age determined from body fat, heart rate, etc. This is great and with the Withings+ app you can see trends and improvements in your health as time moves along. However, as great as the measurements are, they are also a curse. I’m sure if the scale could say I was fat & lazy, it would. Ugh. Time to get off the couch.
Set-up of the scale is completed through the Withings app available on your iOS or Android device. It is a simple process and walks you step-by-step through the set-up and it never seems daunting or difficult. It is a well-designed process and includes everything you need to get started from account creation, WiFi configuration, firmware updates, etc.
A full measurement, minus the Withings+ plus features takes about a minute total. There is nothing to do but stand on the scale during this time. It doesn’t get any easier. During this minute, your weight is recorded, your heart rate measured, your electrodermal activity (sweat glands) recorded and your data is uploaded to the Withings app. Once all measurements are taken and uploaded, the scale gives you the weather forecast and the air quality index all on the color display. It is quite elegant.
APP AND WEBSITE
Once the initial set-up is completed, that is where things go downhill, rapidly downhill. The app and website are not intuitive or user friendly. I fully admit that it may get easier, the more I use it, but as a new owner, it is not easy to get to what I want immediately.
Furthermore, the app, while it says is fully compatible with Samsung Health is WAY off. As of this moment, I have recorded 6611 steps according to my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and Samsung Health. The Withings app shows I have taken 14392 steps today. While I like that number much better, it is inaccurate and I’m not sure where the data is being pulled from. Other metrics being pulled from Samsung Health also appear to be off target as well.
FINAL VERDICT
At the end of the day, I cannot give the Body Comp Scale a recommendation. The scale itself looks very upscale (pun intended) and the color display is clear, easy to read, and looks very high end. But, as of now, that is where my endearment for the product ends.
The Withings app is clunky and difficult to navigate. Settings that should be easy enough to find seem to take multiple button taps to get to and only after trial and error. The website is also just as cumbersome.
To put it quite frankly, this scale has little to offer that you don’t already have available with a smartwatch and phone.

I’ve had a smart scale from a competing brand for about 10 years now. Needless to say, it is about time for an upgrade with new technology and capabilities. Cue the Withthings Body Comp Scale.
Out of the box, this thing looks nice. It is modern-looking with a glass top and advanced features. It features a large and easy-to-read LCD screen that displays all the essential measurements at once. While it is ideal that you use the scale on solid surfaces, it does come with "feet" to add if you need to use it on low-pile carpet.
The scale supports multiple user profiles, making it convenient for families or households with multiple users. I live alone, so I cannot really comment on the multiple profiles functionality, but I do notice it shows the first few letters of my name when I step on it. The scale syncs wirelessly with the Withthings mobile app, allowing users to track and analyze their data over time. Since I’m using an iPhone, the scale syncs data with Apple Health, which is cool because it trades data between the Apple and Withthings ecosystem.
At its core, the scale is designed to provide users with a comprehensive analysis of their body composition. In terms of weight, it is pretty on-par with my older scale. Body fat percentage is different than my older scale, but I assume since this is newer, it is more accurate – which is a bummer and means I have more to work on. ;) The scale uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology to measure body composition metrics such as weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, and water percentage. The scale's readings are generally consistent and reliable, providing users with accurate measurements for tracking their progress over time.
The Withthings mobile app is pretty good and simple to use. The app offers a user-friendly interface, allowing users to effortlessly track their progress, set goals, and view their historical data. The scale's data syncs automatically with the app, providing users with a comprehensive overview of their body composition changes over time. The app also provides personalized insights and recommendations, making it a valuable tool for individuals looking to improve their overall health and fitness.
Overall, I find this scale to be a reliable and feature-rich option that provides users with comprehensive body composition analysis. Its accuracy, sleek design, user-friendly mobile app, and data integration capabilities make it a valuable tool for individuals seeking to monitor their health and fitness goals. While it may have some limitations, overall, the Withthings Body Comp Scale offers a great balance of functionality and affordability, making it a worthy investment for anyone looking to track their body composition and make informed lifestyle choices.

You need to download the Withings app from the App Store and connecting to your iPhone is quite easy. To set up an account, the app wanted more information than what I am comfortable with. Birthday, height, weight, location. One always wonders who owns this app and how, secure is the data. (Will I be blackmailed with my age and weight going public? (LOL). So I first checked out the company .This is what I found:
Withings is a French consumer electronics company headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France. It also has offices in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and Hong Kong, and distributes its products worldwide.
This is my first experience with a Smart Scale and it is quite sophisticated. It weighs within a pound of my regular scale but it has all kinds of features, of which I don’t totally understand. It states that Your Body Comp is more than just a scale. It provides in-depth analysis of your overall health at every weigh-in, including two revolutionary new health metrics: Vascular Age and Electrodermal Activity Score.
- Vascular Age :This metric gives you insight into the health of your arteries at a glance.
- Electrodermal Activity Score :Assess the stimulation response of your sweat glands, which are responsible for sweat production.
- Pulse Wave Velocity : Each time your heart beats it induces a wave along the aorta and arterial tree. This wave is due to blood volume changes in the vessels that expand and contract in response to blood pressure changes.
The scale also shows inside and outside temp but I found this to be inaccurate but perhaps it is picking up one of my alternative locations. It also does air quality.
The app can be linked to your Apple Watch and fitness info but I haven’t elected to do that yet.
Overall, it is a very nice scale but will take some time for me to fully understand all of the categories.it syncs to your phone immediately for a quick review of your metrics.

I’ve been using a Withings Smart Scale since the original came out years okay. Being a semi-tech guy, I found the app connectivity great for monitoring my weight over time. It did help me on my weight loss journey too. I didn’t become obsessive about weighing. Only twice a week, first thing in the morning. I decided I wanted to update/upgrade. Given my history with Withings, decided to stick with them. Right off the bat, the color screen is such a nice upgrade over the older display. I honestly only half paid attention to the extra features this scale offered. It measures blood pressure. Measurements for vascular age, visceral fat and electrodermal activity are foreign concepts to me. So I’m still in the early stages of understanding it. Thankfully the scale shows all the features still in green range, so I don’t have to worry about a crash course and running to my doctor for an explanation. It also measure air quality, but I’m suspicious/curious about this as it’s clearly measuring from floor level. Not sure if it matters, but seems odd to be a feature in a scale. Of course with all these measurements, you have to stand on the scale for a short bit of time. A bit unusual when you’re used to just hoping on to grab your weight and move on. Not a big deal though, just something to get used to.

Withings has iterated their advanced scales, and the Body Comp (short for Composition) scale sits at the middle of the line up, between the basic scale and the “Body Scan” top of the line model. It promises to deliver more details about your overall health, including some details about what your body is made of, hydration levels, and vascular age. As someone who is working on getting healthier and likes data, I was excited to try out this scale and get more insight into my overall health.
In the package is the scale, a set of feet for extremely thick carpet (hard floors are recommended), and some instructions. It does come with batteries preinstalled, and a pull tab is pulled during the setup process to get them working. Initial setup was straightforward, however if you use Apple Health data imports, there are several errors, the craziest being that height is somehow registered as centimeters in the foot category. I am a taller person, but not that tall!
Once connected to Bluetooth and wifi (handy so you don’t need your phone nearby all the time), it did a quick firmware update and was ready for the first measurement. Just stand on it with bare feet and it does its thing, scanning information about your body by measuring electrical currents through it. As it scans, it shows you details, ending with heart rate, which means the scanning is complete. Information is uploaded to the app and sync’d to Apple Health, if you enabled that feature.
The data is very interesting, giving you information about muscle mass, body fat, hydration, and after enough scans, vascular age. The app will start to trend this data so you can track it over time, and give you insights into areas you may want to focus on in your overall health. As a data person, this insight helps me understand where I am in my health journey and if I am making meaningful progress.
Adding another user is where things got weird. My wife wanted to also try this thing out, we installed the app and set up her account, following the instructions to set up the scale..again, which also involved setting up wifi and everything else another time. Somehow, it went crazy and reported her weight in kgs instead of lbs to the app and Apple health, which were both still in lbs! It overwrote her data in Apple Health with this incorrect weight, which we were able to correct manually. Clearly, there are still some app and software bugs to work out, and it was a frustrating experience for us.
Overall, this product has promise. It can help you get insight into your overall health in just a few seconds, and goes way beyond a typical scale. The data and trending information is very interesting, and the wifi connectivity is handy so you don’t have to sync via Bluetooth to a nearby device. Having another family member add the scale to their own account was weird and clunky, and hopefully those issues are smoothed out soon. I think that it will be a useful tool as I track my health over time, and equips me with information that will help me lead a healthier lifestyle.

The Withings Body Composition Complete Body Analysis Smart Wi-Fi Scale is a very feature packed and modern looking scale.
I received the white model that fits in very well with my bathroom aesthetics. It also comes in black as well. It had a glass top and a digital display. It works off of four AAA batteries and comes with a set of carpet feet if you choose to use this on a carpeted floor.
Of course the scale can measure your weight but also can do a multitude of other measures. It can do Body Mass Index, cardiovascular assessment and electrodermal activity.
You can pair it with the app for convenient tracking and it is compatible with serval popular fitness trackers like Apple Health. You can also program up to 8 users. The app is easy to use and you can see several different measures at a glance and see the trends as they go up or down which is very useful to help you stay on track.
Now they only downside I have about the Withings smart scale is that it is subscription based. It does include a free 12 months subscription but after that it is about $10 a month. If it’s worth it to you then I’d recommend this scale if not then I’d get a regular scale.

Digital, simple and atractive design, But the main issue and is a IMPORTANT PART! Is the security and quality, for quality: Cheap electronics and low efficiency installation of them, security: very weak data security I highly not recommend that you link your home wifi or Bluetooth this system are not safe for safeguards your data and your wifi. Please avoid this backdoors for hackers.
Withings knocked it out of the park with this one.

In the year 2014 Apple released Apple Health, followed a year later with the first Apple Watch. 2014 was also the year my 8 year marriage came to an end and looking at my waistline I realized I needed to put some effort into myself if I was going to have any chance of successfully dating anyone new. I was intrigued with the idea of being able to combine data from multiple sources to present my complete body health. For a few years prior I was struggling with data synchronization between a Garmin GPS watch, Nike+, and an Apple iPod touch with the in-shoe sensor. Early attempts at unifying data streams was a mess as Garmin, Strava, Nike, and Apple all had different definitions of distance tracking and stride length. Apple Health’s promise was to take fitness data and link it to other data sources like weight, BMI, to present a more complete picture of health. At the time I had never owned a scale and decided I wanted to jump into the world of digital weight tracking. On Feb 28, 2015 I purchased a Nokia Body Cardio scale from the Apple Store. The scale never faltered and 8 years in it works as well now as it did when I purchased it.
The Body Comp scale introduces a number of changes from the Body Cardio. These changes include being a thicker scale, which I suspect is due to the change from a rechargeable battery to disposable batteries. Updated sensors and an updated surface design give way to the biggest visual improvement which is a color screen. The scale processes the measurements much faster now though its collecting more data than before.
The real star is the Withings Health App though where Withings has invested heavily in a comprehensive visual overhaul of the entire app experience all designed to help visualize the fitness goals. I’m only a week into the Withings+ experience, which is a new subscription service that powers a lot of the data in the Withings app to provide suggestions. By linking the Withings app to Apple Health the app is able to provide greater insights into your healthy and not-so-healthy habits and help keep you on track for your fitness goals.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Withings and their products and highly recommend this scale to anyone who wants more out of their body health than a number.

The Withings Body Comp scale has some additional features that you won’t get with some budget scales, however I find that some features are a bit gimmicky and functionality could use some improvements. For the most part, I have seen pretty accurate readings on my weight, but there has been two occasions where I have seen readings off by 10lbs in both directions. This is obviously a noticeable change to know it was incorrect and reweighing immediately after cam back to normal. Having multiple users requires the app for configurations. The manual doesn’t really help with this as initially I did not know who to change users for the weight to get logged appropriately. Fortunately i was able to sometime online that states you can lean on one foot to switch users. I appreciate the fact you don’t have to bend over to push buttons or log onto the app to switch users, however if you have anyone in the family that is close to your weight, both must be willing to ensure they are switching users in the scale otherwise the reading be logged in the account the scale thinks it is. I think this issue is pretty common on smart scales, but still annoying as for anyone keeping track of history and goal tracking they have to monitor their readings on the app and make sure they clear out the wrong ones. The scale does give you additional health readings along with short history directly on the scale to see some trending, but I wouldn’t say it is a huge value add as most of other readings and feeding analysis will be on the app anyways. The app has some good integrations with other health devices and services, which is a plus to see all of you health data in one app. I like that the unit is set up to Wi-Fi so that you don’t have to have your mobile app on for your readings. I have had issues with other budget products with Bluetooth consistently, so this was a nice benefit. Over all the scale looks nice, but has some flaws and the gimmicky features don’t add that much value. I think you can get most of these features on other devices so can’t really say this is a major upgrade from some of those budget smart scales.

Fast reading of data, a lot of online info from their website. My wife and I both like the ease of using it and it is a tool to help us be healthier.
