Ubisoft knocked it out of the park with this one taking ideas from other game franchises such as The Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, Dragons Dogma, and Borderlands. A fully open massive world with tons of fully voiced side quest and plenty of things to do. The game is gorgeous especially on Xbox One X with support for 4K HDR. 40hrs in and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. Assassin creed origins is a masterpiece it’s beautiful breathtaking and a powerful story about the how the creed started. It’s a must buy game to have.

It’s definitley a different type of Assassins Creed. At first I didn’t like it because it had changed, but once I got used to the new gameplay, I had a BLAST playing it. There is a bit of a learning curve, but after that it’s smooth sailing and very fun!

I can not wait for the next releae, every time it's better!!

Currently, I'm at the 85 hour mark and have only progressed a little more than halfway through the main story, which so far has proven to be a very complex, compelling, and immersive tale. For those players who are new to ASSASSIN'S CREED, honestly, a general Wikipedia-level working knowledge of the series' story is sufficient to understand the more mythology-based science fiction elements. The graphics are simply astounding! It looked great on the One S, but this is the game that convinced me to upgrade to the One X. It has not disappointed me, and the visuals really help hook you in further and deeper to the game. There are a few drawbacks. The combat system can be difficult to use. Many times, carefully plotted ambushes failed because the game failed to register my Y button tap and my brief window for assassination lapsed--leaving me to fight hand-to-hand. Also, the side quests can become a bit tedious and repetitive. Neither of these though should dissuade you from getting this game though. It is, by far, one of the best games on the XBOX One consoles and absolutely worth playing!

This honestly feels nothing like Assassins Creed to me, which is exactly what I was hoping. AC always felt rather clunky and looked drab. This game has a nice smoothness to it and looks absolutely amazing. Quite posibly one of the best looking open world games this generation (and I havent tried since new HDR patch or used on X1X yet, which will only make it better). Combat feels more like Witcher 3 than Batman which is welcome, feels more natural and less about timing/QTE. Characters are cool, feels believable (except fact their speaking english in Egypt which I know I could change to make more realistic but I like not having to read lol). Setting is absolutely stunning. I cant think of another game ive played that made me feel like I was in this time period. The beginning tomb area was amazing, felt like I was legitimately in an old egyptian tomb. I havent played much as im waiting to fully dive in once I get my X1X tuesday, but what I have played, i know im going to sink alot of time into this. Always liked the series but never loved it. This may turn me into loving it.

Great game, with a large map and fresh new ideas for the series. Seems like taking a year off from assassins creed enabled them to get a strong foundation and fix the kinks from the previous games. Story is entertaining and gameplay is fun. Controls take some getting use to, but allow for more precise combat.

I've played almost every single Assassin's Creed game (Skipped Syndicate) and have been a long time fan since the beginning. Although Unity was a huge disappointment, this is them most complete, fluent, and content filled world that Ubisoft has made and it is safe to say that this game is excellent. The graphics are absolutely superb, the combat is intense and rewarding, and the music and new additions such as your pet eagle are just amazing. THE MAP IS MASSIVE and I can see myself playing this game for at least 100 hours with all the content. Strap yourself in and transport yourself to Egypt... MY ONLY COMPLAINT about this game however is the lack of a fluent cover system. Without this, it makes stealth more difficult as you're never quite sure how well you're hidden. Aside from that, pick this game up.

This game is not perfect but it's still the best Assassin's Creed I have played. For me, combat has always been the weak point of the series, and Ubisoft finally delivered in that department. I suggest you play on hard, with enemy autolevel. Now you have to keep an eye on enemies because it's relatively easy to die, but it's also engaging and fun. This made me appreciate the whole experience and kept me playing for hours on end. Which is good, because the setting is incredible. Ancient Egypt is majestic, spectacular, and when you realize that in the Roman era the game is set in, the pyramids are already more than one thousand years old, you can't help but feel in awe for that great country. The XBox One X with HDR really brings its wonders to life.

Assassin's Creed Origins is as the title suggests, an original story. It tells the creation of the Assassin's order, with another basis in historical accuracy, this time in Roman era Egypt. Cleopatra features heavily in the story, as does Julius Cesar. The gameplay remains faithful to the franchise, with an update to combat that makes this aspect feel a little like Witcher 3. Less clunky and more action based than previous installments. The elimination of tedious "sync" requirements is a nice bonus. The graphics are superb, even on the regular Xbox One (playable on Xbox One X with 4K upscaled graphics. A highlight for me was climbing to the top of the Great Pyramids!

This is the first assassin's Creed I've bought in years. I am glad they took a year off to give this franchise a bit of rest. They have made a massive open world with all sorts of things to do. At parts it can get a bit repetitive but the story and side quests are amazing. As far as loot boxes go, I see absolutely no reason to purchase a single one. The game constantly gives you upgraded gear. If you're a fan of the classic assassin's Creed games like brotherhood and ac2 then I would recommend this game. I'm glad that I bought it.

I was initially quite leery of this game given that Assassin's Creed games are usually the same over and over. I was totally wrong because this game is simply the best implementation of the AC formula that has progressed over the years. The story and setting are unmatched. The game play is solid and the game looks amazing on Xbox One X.

This is an absolutely fantastic game. It has so much to do and gets so much right. There are a few annoyances in the game dealing with pressing the right button at the right time moments but, those few moments are so few and far between that they are easily forgiveable. The map is massive, the game is beautiful, the exploration is fun and, forget about just running into crowds of people and expecting to survive as old AC games were. You eventually can get to that point but the enemies are tougher this time around. For every plus there are the minuses. Much like the older games where you had to send assassins out and, that became tedious; you do a lot of collecting in this game to upgrade items. You must do a lot of hunting. There isn't a quick easy way to make money other than doing these types of activites. It isn't overly difficult as there are creatures everywhere but, by mid to end game you are kind of over it.

Let me start by saying how gorgeous this game looks! You feel like your actually in Egypt. Origins has a good story and fun combat. It also offers a variety of missions. I'd say it's one of my favorite assassins creeds along with black flag.

Don’t get me wrong it’s still assasins creed but the combat is slightly different, For better or worse. With the combat, there’s just more involve then just hitting one button like before & now has a deeper upgrade system in place. The Story seems interesting so far & the graphics are very Nice on the Xbox One X. It really shows off a lot of details while in 4K. Enjoy!

After quite a few flops by releasing AC every year, UBI took the time to make a more Action RPG heavy game. It plays like Witcher 3 and Horizon ZD, which is a good thing. Game looks great and the Egypt setting is cool.

Assassin's Creed prior to Origins had started to hit a rocky road, but this game has helped steer the franchise in the right direction. Now, while the historical association with the Assassins has become more and more stretched, the game itself, from an entertainment standpoint, has improved tremendously. The story has been improved significantly, there is much more to do, so a better bang for your buck, and there are some historically accurate correlations to the New Kingdom Egypt. A very nice game to pick up, especially if you are new to the series or willing to try a different genre of video games.

I like everything about this game, the story line, the large map, the graphics, etc. It was one of the few Assassin's Creed games that I bought the season pass for.

Great action, great graphics and a lot of fun. Nice addition to the entire franchise that provides players an opportunity to engage in great venues set in Ancient Egypt.

I am glad they wait a year to come up with a better assassin creed. I love the graphics, the story, and game play. It came a long way.
