If you intend on keeping your same cable setup..This will save you money in the long run. Exact same box used thru comcast that you rent for $10 per month, Works for my phone and internet service.

Instead of renting a box from Comcast get this !!!

I already had a modem at home. But somehow the internet went slow..so I called xfinity. They suggested me to buy this modem come router to resolve speed issue. But it really didn't help me in improving the internet speed at all. I returned this and I'm still on my existing modem. But if you want to save the money by not renting a modem, and if you don't have a modem already - you can buy this.

Researched before buying. Good value for the money.

Solid modem/router. Easy to set up. Includes all cables which makes set up easier.

i would only recommend this if you have a telephone hookup otherwise there are definately better routers out there

Moved to an area serviced by Comcast. Decided to buy rather than rent. Found the gateway on BestBuy.com and had it delivered to my local store. Had it available when Comcast tech arrived and worked as expected. Note to new Comcast customers that this is a gateway which contains internet and phone capability, A regular cable modem wouldn't allow the phone service. Price kept rating at 4 stars.

This is the same modem/router that Comcast uses and will pay for itself in 2 years.

This product far exceeded my expectations that I highly recommend purchasing your own system! A few glitch's initially but after those minimal issues everything had been running beautifully.

I was concerned it would not work as well as Comcast rental but it worked flawlessly. I did not use the built in router and used my own and it worked fine. I would recommend this to anyone.

I bought this so I wouldn't have to keep paying xfinity their monthly rental fees for theirs. I should have bought this a long time ago. Works as intended. I have had now a few months.

If Xfinity is your internet carrier, then why lease your equipment. Own it! Save money and it works perfect. It is the exact same equipment as what you get from Xfinity if you lease it.

On the expensive end for modems but had to get this one to keep my landline

While more expensive than your normal modem/router, this is well worth it. If you plan on subscribing to Comcast for more than 20 months, it is a good idea to buy your own modem.

I bought this item since I was having problems with the modem from Xfinity, and it was only a modem. I also don't get a monthly charge for having my own modem & router.

It does what it needs to do and gets me out of paying the $10 rental fee. However, if I had it to do over again, I'd get just the modem and a dedicated router instead of the all in one. WiFi signal is good in the house, but anything beyond the outer walls gets sketchy. I would recommend it to people with a smaller living space where the signal stays concentrated.
