This all-in-one modem does a great job with the cable, WiFi and telephone. Glad I finally decided to buy it! Should have done it a long time ago.

This is the exact same modem that I was paying Comcast over $10. Dollars a month for. They are probably charging more now.

Works perfectly! Activating it was not a problem at all. Getting it to work with my Asus router by switching it to bridge mode was also easy.

Product was showing still in stock at my local Best Buy, Idt they activated it on their end. I took it back & got another & had the same issue so Comcast said they'd take care of it while I used their modem in the meantime...which has dual band capabilities & this unit does not. I was receiving 720 Mbps or more with the Comcast provided modem & when this one was activated it only reached a max of 140 Mbps with an average of 70 Mbps. I took it back for a refund & kept the Comcast provided modem.

I'm new to Comcast, so decided to buy a modem/router rather than renting it. Owning it after a few months sounds better than renting it. The wi-fi is a little weak though and I already owned a Netgear tri-band router which I plugged into the Ethernet port of the Arris. It ends up being a super combination.

Seems to work well--our issues are with the service provider and wiring. It appears to do its job when the service is running correctly.

This works great - both the router and the modem. Easy to do a wireless install. If it's easy for me, it will be easy for anyone.

The best and easiest wireless router for Comcast. Definitely worth buying this instead of paying Comcast to rent theirs!

This does simply replace your XFINITY/Comcast Gateway. It has all of the bandwidth options that a residential customer can get plus two phone line capability. Is not a dual band wireless,2.4 Ghz only. I use the gateway with a Wireless Extender for optimal dual band coverage. Solution works great!

We replaced an older model that we were renting from Comcast. The wireless feature worked much better with this model. We experienced no issues with dropped connections or lockups. The only thing I would like to see is support of the newer "n" WiFi protocol available in this type of product.

    The Right Replacement Modem/Router

I was due for a leased replacement modem/router from Xfinity. At $10 a month, I decided to buy one and reduce my monthly bill. With discounts and Best Buy rewards points, I'll recover my cost in about a year. This is the retail version of the commercial one that Xfinity would have leased me. I compared the specs, and they're exactly the same. It's worked fine for the last 10 months, with a much stronger Wi-Fi signal, which significantly improved upload/download speeds and Wi-Fi cell reception.
