    Works well

The modem setup was pretty simple. Just had to plug everything in. Still needed to contact Comcast to complete the setup. That was the problem. If you choose to do this, set aside some time. Once you notify them that you have your own modem, they have to send a signal to it. It took Comcast about 45 minutes to get things right on their end. Now the modem works and I'm saving that $10 per month rental fee. It's worth it.

This is the same wireless gateway I was renting for Comcast, I could have bought two of these for the amount of time i have been renting one. Set up was easy and has been working perfectly ever since.

This is the exact same Cable Modem and Wireless Router with Telephony that Comcast gives to their new TriplePlay Customers when setting up your account. I did not want to pay the Comcast Rental Fee every month, so I made this purchase. SUPER glad I did! Set-up is the same as when you first hook-up your rental, and it immediately recognized my Account and initialized! I called Comcast anyway to be sure, and the verified all is well! FAST and blazing speed, exactly what you're paying for!

Only choice modem/router combo with 2 phone lines

Due to a dedicated FAX line in my home office, I required a modem/router combination that could deal with two phone lines and was XFINITY friendly. Once I trouble-shooted with Comcast several times, the whole house has WIFI--some places better than others. It does the job, though.

I wanted to buy a modem/router instead of renting one from Comcast. Since I have phone service with them finding one proved extremely difficult. Finally this model was recommended. Although the price point is high for a modem it works well and I have had no problems with it.

This is a great way to save $ on your monthly bill if you have a triple play service- TV, Internet and Telephone. Definitely need to disable the router in this product and use your own separate router for faster service. Once you do this, it is worthy of a 5-star rating.

Wanted to stop leasing my Comcast modem since we have a LAN line this was the only option. For $200 it's definitely not worth it. internet goes in and out. Plus the range is pretty bad. I wish I could have bought the old model I had worked much better but since I don't have too many other options had to stick with this. Works good when it's working but for price should be way better quality.

When moving the cable rep recommended buying the wireless router instead of renting it for $10 a month. Good advice. Device handles what I need. However some calls got dropped because of distance from device. T-MOBILE remedied that and have no issues.

All in the box, including cables (and of course power supply). Direct reference to Xfinity application for which I bought this unit. Gives you telephony support and high speed internet with little more than connection of power supply, telephone direct plug (two available - be sure to use correct one first) and either network cable to computer, TV or router, or just via Wi-Fi without network cables. Simple and robust!

Good modem for easy connection seems to be helping stay connected to comcast after replacing several of their modems. I think it seems to also be helping with speed as well. I suggest rent for a while if you like service then buy your own.

This is an all in one gateway device that includes the digital modem for Internet, IP phone and avrouter with wireless built in. Reason I am giving it a 3 stars is mainly for the digital modem piece. Currently it is the only model you can purchase that will work with Comcast to eliminate the modem rental fee. It works great, setup is fairly straight forward. The router is decent with nothing to brag about especially if you planning on using the LAN piece using ethernet cable. The wireless piece is a total waste and I would not recommend to anyone unless this is for a small studio apartment. To get good signal, you pretty much need to be within 8 feet with no obstruction. Your best bet is to switch this modem to bridge mode (disable routing and wireless) and get a better wireless router which is what I did.

I like the modem. Had some problems with Xfinity shutting down some of my services. Had trouble getting them to get that straight. Did buy it to have the battery backup but found out that shorts out Xfinity's signal strength. Lost my phone service and had to have a service call. Was not the fault of the Modem but Xfinity. I guess they do not like to give up that monthly fee that they charge for renting the modem.

Easy to set up. Too bad Comcast took 3 hours, 12 repeatable calls and 14 service people to activate Still worth not having to give Comcast $10.00 rental fee every month

This cable modem works as advertised. I am getting excellent voice quality. FAXing is flawless. My internet speed tests match or exceed what my billing information shows I should be receiving. Best of all, I no longer have the monthly Comcast Modem rental fee.
