Replaced my rental Comcast modem. Not really a lot of good choices besides this. Would have liked something capable of faster speeds. Right now this is not an issue. The modem worked fine right away, but be prepared to spend at least one hour on the phone with Comcast to get this all set up. Took discussions with 4 people. Phone and Internet people are separate departments!

I had to make more than 7 phone calls to get help from Comcast. They finally had to send out a tech guy to finish the setup.

My old Motorola modem went bad so I picked up this one and it works great.

Installing Comcast, I had the option of renting their modem or buying my own. For the two year contract, the amounts are about the same, but if I keep it longer, then buying is the best option. I bought extra cables and things, but you don't need them. The box comes with everything you need, and the Comcast installer was very pleased I had purchased the right thing!

It is saving me $10 per month on my Comcast bill and should pay for itself in 20 months. I should have done this a long time ago. The router works just fine!! The same one that Comcast rents out to you!!

I bought this for the reason that we were gonna get the package deal with the phone ended up not but this modem still works great it is an initial investment but will pay for itself within 2 years

Just switched to xfinity recently. Combination modem and router is working so far. Will pay for itself over time instead of the monthly rental from Comcast.

This modem is perfect. I needed a modem for Xfinity phone and this was pretty much that was out to offer. The wifi is great as long as you use this as a bridge and get your own wifi router. In all honestly, I would not call this a combo because the wifi signal is simply not good enough without the help of a separate router. Overall, this fit our needs perfectly.

For what I paid I could have gotten so much more! But this is what the Xfinity people said I had to have for their phone and cable and internet. The signal doesn't cover the house. This is not the fault of Best Buy. The sales associate even said "For what Xfinity has this priced......You could get more capabilities with other components." I sure hope signal amplifiers work.
