Great graphics, killed my system's audio...

This is on an older PC running Windows 10. The card is overkill for my graphics need - all I wanted was a good 4k display driver - and this card pumps out tons of stuff for gamers as well, which is kind of wasted for my needs. But once the card is installed and the driver loaded, my PC's audio is toast. Nothing - the built-in audio doesn't show up in "Devices" any more, though it's enabled in the BIOS. There is now a headphone jack on the monitor that the card drives through HDMI, but my line-in and line-out and mic on the PC are dead. The "solution" on the internet seems to be to buy an external USB audio card... bummer.
