These speakers are loaded with great features, they are well built with an efficient design, they were easy to install, and sound good with crisp highs and full midrange. Since I am using them as surround speakers and my crossover is set to bypass most of the bass, I can't speak to how well the 8" woofers reproduce lows. These were a solid choice at a reasonable price point.

Te speakers take a while to burn in. installation is easy. good sound for the weight and size. need to adjust the tweeter position/angle for better sound. The whole set including 4 of these for surround sound, sub Yamaha YST-SW315YST and center Yamaha NS-C310 those connect to Yamaha HTR-7065 will toss me out of the seat and shake my whole room as a leaf.

I purchased a set of these speakers during a great sale. I wanted something in 9" diameter, poly cones for my patio, and magnetic grills. Got items checked. They are easy to install, have appear to be pretty well made. The crossover, etc. on the back is covered, adding further protection. They have decent sound. Again, for a low priced speaker, they sound good. Highs are crisp, lows are clean. and a little better than expected.

Very easy to install and feel very well made. They produce great sound for ceiling speakers. The tweeter angles a bit for directional audio.Yamaha is a brand i have been very pleased with over the years. When purchasing I was looking for clear audio to play in the background during parties, and these have been great.

I put these in my garage and they sound awesome!!!

Put 2 pair in the garage. sounds great for my application. I was expecting a little more for the price that was paid, hence the 4/5 rating. If the price was a little less for the sound quality, I would have rated 5/5. Overall, they are very good speakers, would definitely recommend to others.

Not sure why, but I expected that the speakers would be a little smaller when mounted on the ceiling; that said the rimless design is great and the sound is acceptable for ceiling speakers

These ceiling mounted Yamaha speakers have a great sound, plus they have a very attractive & clean look. I love the way that the tweeter can be directed towards the center of the room.

I'm not sure why these speakers have so many good reviews? but, I can only speak for myself so here we go... I purchased a pair of 8" speakers and my first impression out the box was amazing! I love the design and the quality until I heard the sound. At first they sounded ok but, when I compared them next to another speaker (Sonance MAG6R) Oh Gosh! what a disappointment, the sound on the Yamaha speakers were muddy and not as clear as the Sonance speakers. And not only that but, the Yamaha got so hot that the tweeters started to melt. NOOOOOOOOO! I couldn't believe it...oh well to make the story short I returned Yamaha and kept my SONANCE speakers. I hope my experience can help someone before buying these speakers.

Awesone sounding speakers. I use them as heigh speaker in my home theater system.

I bought 4 of these speakers for my patio. They were easy to install: - Easy to follow cutout template - The latching mechanism to get it stay in the ceiling worked great. No need to find a stud! - The grill snaps in place with magnets. And they sound great: Both quiet and loud, they produced a good range of highs and lows.

Great sound and a huge improvement from what I had

I've had these for over a year now and I'm glad I bought them. I needed to replace/upgrade my ceiling speakers with something more modern looking and these were perfect. I love the magnetic speaker cover too. Awesome work!!
