Protects the screen from scratches and smudges.

You have to work hard to keep any bubbles out when you're applying the protector to the phone's screen. Once it's in place, you're likely going to break it if you try to pull it off again. You'll need to keep the receipt in a safe place in case you want to take advantage of the lifetime warranty.
