Without a doubt, you cannot find a better screen protector for your mobile device than those made by ZAGG! Ever since 2007, I have purchased, used, and often abused Zagg Invisible Shield Screen Protectors. Over the years, they have continuously improved their product in terms of quality and in addressing user health, safety, and comfort. They have always been relatively easy to install, but the last two to three models have made installation even easier. The days of squeezing out screen bubbles and positioning the screen exactly where you want it on the first try are gone. The latest XTR5 model has eliminated any possibility of installation mishaps by designing a simple, straightforward “no-mistake” installation process. The XTR5 made for the iPhone 17 is the most advanced that I have owned. When used with a case, I have never had any issues with the edges. Earlier models tended to wear on the edges, especially without a well-designed phone case. Zagg has made a conscious effort to address this issue. This model, like a few of my most recent purchases, is a tempered glass high-impact resistant screen protector, and it is 11 times stronger. I have never had a cracked screen from accidentally dropping the phone with a Zagg screen protector. I have had a cracked Zagg screen protector with a substantial accidental drop onto concrete, and the actual phone screen remained untouched without even a scratch. You may not realize the damage that blue light from devices, as well as automobile headlights, can cause to your vision. Increasingly, people spend a substantial portion of their waking hours on their mobile devices. This is another reason I chose ZAGG. Their blue light filter remains exceptional, incorporating the latest technological advances to create a screen protector with enhanced glare reduction, increased blue light eye protection, and improved clarity for everything you view on the screen. This naturally reduces eye strain and the headaches that some people develop from excessive computer viewing. In all the years since 2007, I have only used one other manufacturer’s screen protector product, which was sold to me and applied by a mobile retail store. It was equal in cost to the top-of-the-line ZAGG products but only lasted 2-3 months. Another remarkable aspect of ZAGG, the company, is that they stand behind their products and provide a lifetime warranty, which I have personally utilized on three occasions. The only thing they ask you to do is register your screen protector when you purchase and install it. That is all that you need to do. If you remember your login email, then you can report its damage and request a replacement. They may require a nominal fee, but it is not nearly as high as the cost of a new screen that you would pay for at a retail outlet.

ZAGG - XTR 5 Blue Light Screen Protector for Apple iPhone 17 Plus was easy to install and comes with everything you need to install it yourself. I feel that my screen is better protected from being broken if I drop it. I have always used ZAGG Brand screen protectors on my iPhones. They give me peace of mind. This is the first Blue Light Glass Screen Protector I have had though. Honestly I cannot tell any difference it in it and the regular ZAGG Screen Protector. I do read a book on it at night and thought this may help. I do not think it does though. It is advertised to protect you from blue light from the iPhone. Thus helping you to stay in the sleep zone. . It is a nice heavy tempered glass screen protector and I feel better knowing my expensive phone is safer if I drop it. It is easy to clean smudges off with a cloth and so far I have no scratches on it. I actually keep the small cloth that comes with the screen protector so I can tuck it in my pocket to clean my phone after I talk to someone on the phone. I tend to get make-up on the screen and this little cloth is a big help.

I’m guilty of using my phone before bed and first thing in the morning. Knowing that this screen protector not only protects my phone screen from damage, it protects my eyes from sleep disruptions caused by the blue light. Installing the screen couldn’t be easier. I placed the Zagg installation box over my phone and pulled the tab. Voila it was really a 2 step installation. The screen protector did not cover my screen at its entirety but close enough to not lose my mind. I was expecting the fit to be better for the price and knowing it’s from Zagg also raised my expectations. I don’t think it affected the clarity of the iPhone screen since I didn’t compare a before and after the install. Maybe someone will have better insight on this in the future. I think this screen protector will help me protect my phone and it’s for the lifetime of my phone because of Zaggs warranty. I don’t keep my phones for that long but it’s a nice little add on. I will continue buying the great products from Zagg!

The one non-negotiable I have for my cell phones is getting a Zagg screen protector. Specifically, from their XTR line. Ever since I tried it, I simply can't use anything else. There are two main reasons for this, plus a handful of bonus features that make the experience even better. First, I typically avoid using a case because I enjoy the feel of my phone's raw materials. Historically, there's always been a noticeable difference between using a screen protector and the original screen. As stock screens just felt superior and looked superior. That perception changed with the XTR line. These protectors feature a SiO2-enhanced coating, making them feel just as good, if not better, than the stock screen, which uses similar technology. In my own A/B testing of comparing the same model of device (two iPad Pros in this case) with and without the XTR screen installed, they feel virtually identical. Touch sensitivity, which is often compromised with regular glass protectors, remains just as responsive as the original screen with the XTR. Another major factor is display quality. Modern devices have stunning screens, and I don't want anything detracting from that. With the XTR screen, I've noticed a slight increase in contrast, though highlights (like peak brightness in emails) can be slightly diminished. This is not the case when watching HDR at max brightness or when watching media, though. There's also a minor reduction in maximum brightness, likely caused by having to look through two glass layers (the protector and the screen), which increases reflections and results from the blue light filtering. I’m particularly critical of these minor differences and think most users probably wouldn’t notice them. Occasionally, I see very slight reductions in text sharpness, likely due to this mild dimming, which can soften the edges of text. In day-to-day use, this goes unnoticed, but I can spot it in side-by-side comparisons. It’s possible that some of these differences are simply due to panel variation, not just the screen protector. As for the blue light filtering, it’s not something that personally bothers me, but I do wonder if a perceived loss in brightness is due to less “harsh” light reaching my eyes, which my brain interprets as “brighter.” Or at least that is what the science says. The XTR also excels at resisting oils and fingerprints. Often, just sliding my phone in and out of my pocket keeps it clean. The protector is also impressively scratch resistant. Over years of use, often putting my device screen down without any protection will cause micro scratches. Which is to be expected. They rarely break unless there’s a severe impact. And even then, very rarely do they break. I’ve never had my phone screen break when one of these is applied. Even when it got crushed between a rotating seat. I credit the inclusion of graphene for this resilience. Installation with the latest version is a breeze: you simply place your phone in a box and slide the protector on for a perfect fit. This is their best system yet. Finally, Zagg’s lifetime warranty is outstanding and has saved me many times over the years. While cheaper glass protectors may seem similar no matter the price, the XTR line is truly in its own class. If you care about your device, I absolutely recommend it. I’ve bought them for all my devices and will continue to do so. They come with all the bells and whistles, maintain fantastic feel and performance, provide stock-like touch sensitivity, and preserve image quality while offering added blue light protection. I’ve never had one where the peel fails. Micro-scratches can develop over a year, and occasional cracks occur (usually at the corners, since I don’t use a case, especially after big drops), but the warranty process is straightforward and gets me back to a pristine screen. My only gripe is the ever-increasing price.

Will keep the review short, as ZAGG is a well known brand and I think we all know their reliability. Just opening the product, it's similar to last year generation, in terms of the premium feel and presentation of the product, no surprise. The installation is the same, simple easy to follow instruction and minimal effort with the slip/slide style in a fitted box (see image). Installation was flawless, did get a few bubbles that we're all familiar with, but easy to rub out. Afterwards I left a book and let things dry up (don't need to, just a habit of mines) Once on, as always very well fitted in every aspect. Edges were perfect. I've used the blue light glass screen protector before, I'm not sure how much it exactly helps me, but it certainly helps reassure me I'm getting the best protection out there. The colors and brightness come through perfect and unhindered/unaltered. The reflective nature of the screen protector is no more or less than any other high end protectors. I didn't get any of the screen / glare effects that some people have mentioned? Out of the box, easy to install and true to color reproduction, without affecting the touchscreen. Not much more you can ask for. ZAGG has years of experience and expertise and in this latest product it's as refined as you can get. Would highly recommend

The Zagg XTR5 is a premium, feature-packed screen protector for your iPhone Pro. Pros: Excellent protection (Graphene fortified for high strength), effective blue light filter (Eyesafe CPF60), and a very smooth, touch-sensitive surface great for swiping and gaming. Installation is usually easy and bubble-free with the included kit. Cons: It's expensive, and some users note a slight, unavoidable yellow/tint due to the strong blue light filter.

TL;DR: SETUP: Zagg’s PerfectFit Installation system helped to install it quickly and easily. The alignment tray helped me to install it perfectly. Just make sure you use the alcohol wipe to clean the screen, the microfiber towel to dry it, and most importantly, use the dust removal sticker to remove any tiny particles to ensure no bubbles. USE: It’s smooth and clean. Fingerprint oils are there, but not terrible and easy to clean. USABILITY: It works like not having a screen protector, but gives the added benefits of protection and blue light filtering. OVERALL: I like it. It’s sort of set it and forget it. I haven’t dropped my phone, but if/when I do, I’m confident this will take the brunt of the impact and protect my phone. It adds a layer of insurance and security beyond something like AppleCare. Also, if it does break, Zagg has its lifetime replacement warranty. REVIEW: I’ve been using the Zagg XTR 5 Blue Light Glass Screen Protector for about a week. I like a clear screen protector that doesn’t show too many fingerprints, but am not a huge fan of the matte glass or privacy versions. I like having the blue light filtering screen protectors as long as they don’t noticeably alter the color of the screen. This one does almost everything perfectly, but it does add a slight tint, which for whatever reason doesn’t really bother me much…it’s less noticeable than the tint shift in the native Apple settings. It is a premium glass screen protector, but you do get premium features, like the blue light filter and even graphene added to strengthen it up to “11 times more”. So far, it’s been working well. I have dropped it on carpeting and on simulated hardwood floor. Nothing has broken and everything is as it was. I have done the same thing in my day-to-day life and have cracked a screen protector, but not often. With the technologies and warranty, the Zagg XTR 5 feels like a good option that will provide wear resistance and protection even if you have Apple Care…

Great case and easy to install. Not sure how much it actually blocks the blue light but the screens clarity stays the same

Easy installation and the glass itself is pretty thick unlike the cheap amazon ones. Best thing about this though is definitely the lifetime warranty that is included with it. The blue light filter is a bit strong, but it does what its supposed to do.

The Zagg Screen Protector for iPhone 17 works great so far. I really never had any issues with putting the screen protector on. It’s nice to keep the iPhone screen well protected since they are very expensive. Happy with this product. :-)
