What a noisy device. The Zepher Hood $399.00
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This thing is TOO noisy to be acceptable. I installed it initially and turned it on immediately. I was greeted by a VERY noisy machine - TOO noisy. It is not measured in decibels like other machines and therefore a common measurement system, but something new called "SONES" I think. It is a new term and therefore they I created a new scale. They measure this one at .75 - 5 I think. It resembled a decibel level of something similar to 90-120!! Ridiculous. And this was on the first of 3 levels! It was 2 fans and they work, but the first level should have been only one fan. And if someone is wondering about the flu going up from the hood, it is the original, and is full size round stiff pipe, and smooth surface. As good as can be found today. I took it back. The old one is better and still works.
