This gimble works great. Charged fast and all of the functions are working as expected. I would recommend this especially to content creators.

This gimble was a good gimble at first- with the easiness of setting it up and loading app. However- if you do evetnually "bump" or have the gimble come in cotact with something- it goes a little bonkers and then has to be completely shut off and start over again to get the right calibration. I twice had people bump into me with the gimble and then had to reset it every time. Other than that- it pretty much did keep a good beat on aligning with video shoot as well as good facial recognition for still shots. If you can get past the resetting (which is simple on amd off of unit), then the price makes it worth it and your videos and stills will look good.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Zhiyun Smooth Q3 Folding 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer, and I must say, I was quite impressed. One of the standout features for me was its portability. The folding design makes it incredibly convenient to carry around, whether I'm traveling or just out and about shooting. Additionally, the 3-axis stabilization technology provided smooth and steady footage, even when shooting in challenging environments. Another aspect I appreciated was the ease of use. The accompanying app allowed me to quickly adjust settings and even access advanced features like object tracking and time-lapse modes. Plus, the intuitive controls on the gimbal itself made it easy to fine-tune my shots on the fly. However, one downside I encountered was the battery life. While it was decent, I found myself needing to recharge it more frequently than I would have liked, especially during longer shooting sessions. Overall though, the Zhiyun Smooth Q3 Folding 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer is a reliable and versatile tool that I would recommend to any content creator looking to up their videography game.

I didn't enjoy it for reasons that could primarily come down to how technical it was-- its level of sophistication was challenging to operate, and despite following multiple tutorials via YouTube, I was unable to utilize the tracking feature to have the camera follow me, which was the sole appeal in purchasing this item-- further if you are recording there is a time when it will just power down and stop stabilizing because it must be charged to stay steady in one place.. it has a susceptible base that is adjustable and several settings that I did learn but ultimately decided to exchange for my money back. It was extremely time-consuming and frustrating and generally not user-friendly for beginners. You must also download an app that tracks you and your data to use it... despite it being Bluetooth?? It does not make sense to me, but if you can get beyond that, I see other users enjoying it immensely. To each their own,

I love how smooth it is when youre recording as you move but it only works when you download an app and have to use that app to take photos and record. I would prefer using my phone's camera. Otherwise, it is easy to travel with and fun to use

At first im not gonna lie was very excited about this one , was easy to set up and put together. ran very smoothly in the beginning thenafter downloading the app in the app store it recommended, the whole stablizer started acting weird and lights started flashing every since then the thing hasnt worked properly and i never dropped it or anything.

I edited my 1st video using the software download. At first you need to get used to how to mount your phone and handle the gimbal. Being brand new to making videos, it was pretty good with room for improvement on my part. Good price, good results.

Not bad for the price I paid for it, I use it when we go on trips to take nice photos/videos. I wish I didn’t need to use to app on my phone in order to use the gimbal properly

The gimbal is smooth as it is named after. But for me, I was not comfortable with the ground level shots. Battery back up is good. The clamp is strong to hold iPhone 14 Pro but is a bit extra strong if you need to pull your phone out for a phone call or text.

The Zhiyun has been the greatest purchase I’ve made in 5 years, no exaggeration. This is also the first gimbal where using the joystick is actually acceptable. Regardless of speed setting, as a filmmaker I naturally refuse to use the joystick mid-shot. There’s just something about operating the joystick that doesn’t work smoothly on any gimbal at all. However, this one I used accidentally and noticed it worked extremely well. I’ve shot a music video for a paid client on this and they were outrageously happy with it. For a 3-Axis gimbal, they could definitely charge twice the price. I was tempted to get the DJI alternative because that’s the company I’m used to working with. However, I was in a tight spot and money was a priority. So I bought this one because it felt like a really good deal for 3-axis and I’ve never been happier with a purchase since i started filmmaking. Are there cons? Sure. Due to the compact size and the design for a phone, a full 360° vortex shot isn’t possible. When the gimbal reaches a certain point beyond its capabilities, however, instead of spazzing out and entering sleep mode like most I’ve worked with, it’ll simply rotate its axis 180° (basically upside down) so that you can continue with your shot. Due to some minor limitations, you may find yourself adjusting your shotlist on set or gaining just a little extra work in post. Yes, but, Zhiyuns design is hardly to blame. That’s just part of the industry. All in all, this device is 3x worth the price they charge for it.

my wife got this and frankly we returned it. it may work perfectly but it was to complex for her to set up and use regularly.
