Having seen the movie already twice, once in regular format and the second in 3D, I think this movie is one of Disney's best and the box office figures shows it. First the story line is incredible with a lot of positive messages, that not only kids may learn from but a lot of adults as well Second, the animation is phenomenal, one scene in which Judy Hopps is in a train going through the different lands, is so incredible that it makes you want to live there or maybe take a similar ride. (I think it's very similar to a train ride in Alaska). Third, it's hilarious, with so many punch lines that will stay with us forever and I quote the scene at the DMV, it's unbelievably funny. The only thing is that younger kids will most likely not understand a lot of the messages the movie sends, pretty much like the case of Inside Out.

I really enjoyed Zootopia at the theater and it's great to have this at home. What is wonderful about having the movie on 3D & Blue Ray is that you get some wonderful extras that help explain the backstory to Zootopia. And I would strongly encourage fans of the film to get the DVD just for that. But as excellent and as superb as the film is, I found myself wanting to know more about the original version that the film's writer's originally intended, which was more of a James Bondian spoof that included animals and focused less on Judy Hoops and more on her foxian male counterpart. Zootopia has proven that the Disney film making unit can still deliver winners, and Zootopia is a fun movie that combines human "in jokes" with animal characters. All the work that the writers, artists, vocal talent put into this story, pays off. Great film!!! JThree

One of the best Disney animation movies ever made!

I loved this movie, everything from the lovable and adorable characters to the thoughtful and interesting design of Zootopia itself there wasn't a single thing I didn't like about this film. Even the story, which is full of more cliches and tropes than your average TVTropes page, manages to keep your interest throughout the film. If I had to give one complaint it would be that the film does feel a bit short with an actual run time of just a little over 90 minutes. I felt that some plot lines could have been a bit more explored further and a few scenes later in the film could have been expanded upon, but when my biggest complaint is that there isn't enough of it, I think that the good outweighs the bad. I really hope there's a sequel in the works, especially since the ending of this film leaves plenty to explore.

Super funny movie. The kids will looooovvve it!!!!

Zootopia was one that surprised me. Disney made another hit with this film that covers a rather deep topic...discrimination. But it does it in a way that is not heavy-handed. The characters are once again enjoyable to watch and have emotional depth to them. The animation is stellar. The standard Blu-ray looks quite good, but I do feel that the 4K with HDR offers some picture improvements. The price for this one in the exclusive Best Buy steelbook was around $15 on sale, so it was a no-brainer to upgrade this one in my collection. One of my favorites from Disney during their latest round of hit animated films, and I will be revisiting it again and again.

Zootopia tells the tale that seems possibly even more fitting now in 2020 then it did at release in 2016. But even with racial, and other stereotype undertones in it's message aside the movie in general is entertaining and worth watching for kids and adults (though some scenes may be scary for young kids). Zootopia looks great in this upscaled 2K release with HDR. A Dolby Vision code is included for Movies Anywhere, VUDU and or iTunes should you have a compatible TV and streaming box. The Dolby Atmos track is great and sounds incredible at home. All around this movie is well worth watching and I highly recommend it.

I lost count of how many times I've seen this movie! I could hardly wait for a release of this DVD for several reasons. Finally, I can now watch it in the comfort of my home, when I want and also where I want. Also, I can pause it and take a better look at the very rich background details; e.g., being able to pause my DVD allows me to observe the myriad of details that went by too fast to appreciate on the big screen, such as e.g., Trader Doe's and others. I found also another DVD feature rather helpful - the subtitles. For example, in the Mystic Springs episode I kept falsely hearing Tommy Chong's character saying that he will have to hit the "pass button", while when I watched it with subtitles it became clear that he was saying he will have to hit the "pause button ".

When I went to see this film, I expected it to be good. I expected the usual Disney "talking animal" movie, some fun moments, and pretty animation. What I did not expect was a story that deals with some very uncomfortable truths about our world, brilliantly told in a way that anyone can understand and that are woven into the plot, rather than beating you over the head with the message. I did not expect such a wonderful, strong, well written female lead. I did not expect the main characters to not have a forced, shoehorned in romantic subplot. I did not expect the best Disney movie since Lilo and Stitch, and easily my favorite since The Lion King. Everything about this movie is wonderful, from the animation to the voices to the music to the story to the messages. I did not expect to so completely love the main characters, who are so well written and fully realized that when the movie's tearjerker moments hit you they don't feel forced because you really believe these characters. Judy dealing with her latent mistrust of foxes, Nick dealing with society's view of foxes, and how both of these characters overcome their past trauma and grow is fantastic and some of the best character writing I've seen in a major release. I can't possibly say enough good things about this movie. If I DO have a negative, it's that from now on all animated movies (and most live action ones) will fall short of this film's strengths. If Frozen is a 8/10, Big Hero 6 is a 9/10, and Wreck-It Ralph is a 10/10, Zootopia is an 11/10

My 8 yr old loves this movie. The characters the music. The action. Good movie. Yes I like it too. Probably all the same reasons

I saw this movie in theaters, and when I walked out, I told my sister "I will buy this movie when it comes out." And I did. And I have since watched it over a dozen times since then. I absolutely love this movie and its characters. It has so much diversity, so much depth, and such great lessons to be had all packed into a piece of art that children of all ages (be they 2 or 102) will love. Breaking the mold, setting your sights on the stars and reaching for them, being who you are regardless of what people think you can or cannot do... this movie is a goldmine! I love this movie so much!!! Every time I watch it I come away with a smile, and I feel that I will for many years to come.

This a movie that is full of action, with funny (though not memorable) characters and a good plot. While there is an obvious message that is somewhat of an allegory concerning some of society's biggest ills, it is not heavy handed and remains fun enough to entertain the most 'active' of children. Some folks may think that it is just a tad too political, but the kids likely won't see it. For real little ones, the way predator animals are portrayed may be little scary. The movie looks incredible, and will not bore the adults in the room that may have to see it over and over again. Bottom line, this definitely an enjoyable Disney movie that is going to be enjoyed by all ages.

This was a fund one to watch. I saw the blu-ray a few years ago, but 4k ups the presentation. Worth the upgrade.

A good funny family movie that is enjoyable for adults too. Enough adult humor to keep everyone entertained.

While Zootopia appears to be another kids cartoon in the long line of Disney feature films, it is more than I expected it to be. Rather than being simply funny and cute, it's actually a pretty good buddy cop detective story with a case to be solved, clues to be followed, and some twists as to who is behind the scheme to bring the city to its knees. The world created for the film is amusing and does a really nice balance of crafting the world the characters live in without dwelling on details too long with a steady plot pace and character development. I can't suggest this film highly enough. If you haven't already bought it, it's worth it.

Zootopia was a very cute movie! Usually I'm hesitant on seeing some of the newer cartoon movies (Disney, Pixar, etc) that come out today, but this one I really enjoyed! I grew up with what some people might call the classics (Aladdin, the Lion King, the Jungle Book, Beauty & the Beast, etc), where the movies used to teach you something and it would stick with you forever. The newer cartoon movies seem to have lost part of that, not to say Tangled, Frozen, Big Hero 6 and all them aren't good (in fact they're great too), they just don't give that "POW" like the 'Classics' did. However, I think Zootopia is the start, of finally getting back to that!
