Love the movie
|Posted .Owned for 6 months when reviewed.Great movie but the digital is on itunes unfortunately and not vudu. Sucks if you're trying to build a digital library on vudu.

Beware: Apple only digital download
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This review is no reflection on the actual movie, Guy Ritchie's fourth tale of London's criminal underbelly. I was extremely disappointed to find that I could only redeem the digital code on iTunes which was not at all clear based on description online and on the movie packaging itself: there is an apple tv icon with a statement: Stream or Download to Watch Anywhere. Not true, doesn't play on any of your android phones, doesn't chromecast, isn't available on any of the streaming services on my TVs. basically is I want to sit in a closet with my old desktop and watch it on iTunes I can do that but that's it. Having the 4k disc is option to make sure you get the highest home theatre experience with 0 buffering or internet bandwidth concerns, but it eliminates 80% of the value to not have a bring anywhere digital copy

Love the movie, but not the Digital Code
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. If you're a fan of Lock Stock, or Snatch you'll love this. It's Guy Ritchie at his best. I won't spoil any of the movie but the acting is spot on and the plot, while predictable has a few of Guy's flairs for drama. My biggest issue is with the "Digital Code". It's not a true Digital Code in my opinion that lets you pick one of a few different services or pick from the two major platforms (Apple or Android/Google). The code is ONLY valid on iTunes. As someone who doesn't use or proscribe to the Apple ecosystem it was a huge disappointment. After contacting the studio neither Universal or STX offered me a replacement code that I actually could use.

Great movie but digital only for itunes.
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendMovie shockingly great. I almost fell asleep at the beginning and was super confused. But it all came together and ended up being highly recommended! BUT pretty upset about the digital copy. We use Vudu A LOT & Movies Anywhere because they link and I can watch my movies on either. But this movie came with a code that could ONLY be used on itunes. Not happy about that. I tried everything linking my movies anywhere to itunes and it will NOT show on my vudu or movies anywhere account. And since I dont have a apple device the digital doesn't even work for me. I will now have to check every movie to make sure it is not a itunes digital and if it is I will not purchase!

THE MOVIE IS FUN, BUT THE DIGITAL CODE ISN'T
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. No, I would not recommend this to a friendWe enjoyed the movie more than I thought we would, but the digital code experience truly sucked. Usually when you get a digital code you're able to redeem it via Movies Anywhere or someplace similar. Once it's redeemed the movie is added to your digital collection (we view ours through Vudu and Movies Anywhere). But I'm not telling you anything different, or new, BUT... The movie was only redeemable via Apples multi-media app and once redeemed, it was only accessible via that App and not thru the usual sources. If we wanted "The Gentlemen" to appear as "owned" and be available in our usual library's (i.e. Movies Anywhere, Vudu, Amazon) it would require another purchase of the same movie to do it. I'm really leery of buying any movie that requires it to be redeemed via APPLE only and suggest that you make your purchase with "eyes open" from now on as well. We usually don't write many movie reviews but we felt it was warranted in this instance because the digital code you receive is only good to watch via APPLE, unlike every other movie...

Highly Recommended.
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I love a great gangster comedy. It's not easy to make crime funny while also deplorable and yet Guy Ritchie finds a way to pull it off with gusto. With The Gentlemen, the director hasn't been in this great shape since 2008 - and even then one could argue since Snatch stormed the screens. With a terrific cast playing colorful characters there's plenty of cinematic scene-chewing to go around with everyone getting at least a moment or two to shine. Sure, it's not Ritchie's best, but it's the first film of his to come out in a long while that actually felt like one of his creations instead of something shopped and grown by committee. Universal delivers a terrific 4K UHD Blu-ray release sporting a grand transfer with HDR10 and a rousing Dolby Atmos audio mix. The only downside of this disc is the bonus features package that is so pointless it may as well not have been included. Such as it is, the movie is well worth the price of admission. Highly Recommended.

Loved it!
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThis movie came with a rather interesting group of characters that portray rather interesting and sometimes odd people. The premise of the movie is simple and straight forward. What you don't know are the twists, turns, and strategic actions that evolve into cinema that you must pay attention to or you will lose a grip of the ever changing plot. Guy Ritchie directs another great flick. Whatever you do don't tell anyone too much about this or you will create a major spoiler......a must see and hear to believe.
