In rural Georgia I have 1600 sq. ft, solar-metal home (not only metal walls but also a full metal roof, on which there are 54 solar panels). It’s actually 3200 sq.ft but half is garage, separated by a thick metal wall. For the residence part of my home this WeBoost 4G, 470103-A cell phone coverage booster kit took me from maybe one bar sometimes/somewhere inside to a consistent, three if not four bars in every spot, even in the two bathrooms. It was worth paying $20 extra elsewhere to get an extra 360-degree inside antenna (hangs like a cereal bowl from the dead center of my home, just under the roof) plus a handy outside antenna mount, in addition to an in-line lightning arrestor (not clear if that last item comes with all WeBoost kits). BTW, I bought this "up to 5,000 sq. ft.” model to overshoot my home’s 3200 sq.ft footprint (again, 1600 sq. ft. residence + 1600 sq.ft. garage) and get coverage in my garage, as well as on my 1000 sq.ft. “surround-porch.” I’m disappointed that the Weboost won’t give me 3-4 bar coverage in those two areas (two bars only). I guess it’s tough getting signal to penetrate metal walls bearing foil-pouch (ice rink class) insulation. On balance, I’m happy. Special thanks to “Johnny,” in WeBoost’s "Support" department, for handling a problem that arose with buying extension cable (there’s a heavy duty cable option, which I took, but you need to watch out and get the right connectors on it).

I live in a well populated suburban area and to be fair I live in a little geographic dip compared to the area around me. Everyone that visits our home complains of the cell signal in my home (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc.). I can sit in my office chair and be talking with someone, lean back and disconnect the call. The best signal (1-2 bars) is on my deck. I purchased the weBoost in hopes that I could at least get 2-3 bars consistently. From an installation stand point there is a lot to this kit. I mounted the external antenna approximately 40' off the ground to the rear roofline of my home. The cable from it to the internal antenna wraps under my roofline into the home approximately 40' away. The antennas do not face each other. The light indicators on the front do show a problem. The Band 12/13/17 light flashes red. I just figured it's hopeless and should have returned it but it was such a hassle to install and uninstall the thing. I would not recommend this to someone that really is in a cell signal black hole.

Really Does Improve Your Cell Service!

Living in a rural area, I thought the best cell service I could get was 3 bars on my phone. We sold our old house and built a new metal building home (barndominum), and our cell service whet to either no service or maybe 1 or 2 bars sporadically, with dropped calls. Then I decided there had to be a way to get good phone reception in our new home, so I researched online and found WeBoost. We ordered it online and it arrived in a few days. We read the installation instructions and decided to try installing it ourselves (old folks in our 60's). Well it took a few hours because my husband wanted to mount it on a pole like our satellite tv is on, but he followed the directions and after installation, we both had 4 and 5 bars on our phones!!! It is fantastic, and we are so happy we spent the money and purchased this.

Although it was purchased a few weeks ago, we just installed it yesterday. The directions are clear, and installation went smoothly. We're out in the boonies, and have sketchy cell service within the house and yard. So we bought this to boost our signal. I will say that my expectations were a bit unrealistic. I had envisioned getting 4 bars and max signal strength. We don't have that, BUT I now have 3 bars where I used to have 1 and occasional dropped calls. When I did the pre-installation testing, the average db reading was -114 to -116. Now we're at -99 to -97, which is dramatically better. (It may not seem a lot different, but it's exponentially better.) Amazon Video was temperamental when streamed on data plan prior to installation, now loads quickly and with no buffering interruptions. My advice is that the price difference between the 1,500 sq foot booster and the 5,000 sq foot booster isn't large enough to make the smaller one worth your while. Go big, or go home - get the 4G.

Literally had zero service inside my house. I quickly tested this out without mounting it to get a good guess where to put it. Instantly reception went up bouncing between 3-4 bars. My asu under sim card status is showing 45 when it was at 1 before. Before this I was using a Skype number under wifi to forward my current cell phone to the Skype app on my phone but I didn't want to keep paying a monthly fee and it was slow to ring. Was looking at zboost products but this one had the best reviews and it works great couldn't be happier. Just as the product description says you can't expect to get zero bars outside and this to magically boost it. It can only boost a decent signal outside and push it inside your house.

Our talk and data was improved. Before I couldn't get Netflix to start up on my phone, text messages would not go through (constantly resending), couldn't walk through my house without sounding like a robot to others. My phone kept switching from 4g to 3g. Everything improved within seconds after install! I have a constant 4g lte signal now (even if it's from 1-3 bars at times). Netflix movies start up within seconds, clarity isn't always the best but definitely better than before. No more dropped calls while inside my home (most importantly). It may not show up on the bars but it shows where it counts. While using the phone for talk, text, and data!

Purchased for my grandparents being most landlines are getting too expensive to afford. It's cheaper to just have cell phones. Took maybe 15 minutes to get it mounted and running for them. Went from having no service at all to full bars through the whole house. They no longer need to keep cellphones in a windowsill to get barely 3G service. It was the first time they had ever had 4G LTE at their house. It is such a relief and piece of mind that they can make calls if needed (or emergency calls) without worrying if their phone will even get service to make a call. Worth the money! Money does not matter in those types of emergency situations.

I was skeptical but It does what its says! I live in an area with mountains and sketchy cell service. Before putting in the We boost I had a few "hot spots" in the house where I could get 4g - Now I can get 4g all over the house and even for about 50-75 ft outside as well! Cell service was so bad I rarely made a call from my cell, Now I have 2-3 bars of cell signal everywhere inside and also in a close perimeter outside. I am very happy with the product. The outside antennae is weird looking but since it works so well I can overlook that. I had an electrician install mine because of location of wires etc. but if you are handy you can do it.
