1978 - DVD

An ambitious film director, Mr. Gang, brings his crew to an abandoned factory, which is reputed to be one of the most haunted places in northern China, to shoot a horror film. Mr. Gang ignores all common sense and tells his crew that they are staying for the night, despite the warnings against doing so. What happens to them that night is more terrible than anything Mr. Gang was conceiving for his perfect horror film. In Mandarin with English subtitles.

For six college students carpooling cross-country, a seemingly mundane tire blow-out is the beginning of a grueling fight for survival. Finding themselves under siege by a mysterious, merciless sniper, an agonizing game of cat-and-mouse ensues - the sniper does not approach to finish them off, he simply waits, silent, patient, drawing them into a suspenseful battle of wits. By nightfall, what was once an unassuming stretch of country road has become a smoking battlefield of wrecked cars, strewn corpses, hide-and-seek shootouts and everyone-for-themselves desperation.

An unusual hull resembling an unexploded bomb is found in an English building site containing weird, insect-like creatures with faces like gargoyles. Inexplicable incidents occur and it's discovered that strange goings on have happened in the area for centuries. Top notch sci-fi from the original British, 6 part TV series, 60+ minutes
