I bought this as it is a replacement plan and not a repair plan. So if the new one fails within 2 years I will get another one free. I Think I would buy this on all modems I buy in the future as I will barely keep them for two years and if they do fail then I will get a free replacement and if they are not made any more then they will give you the newer version. Of course if there is a price difference then you are responsible for that.

Though I have never had to use an extended warranty, with electronic devices one never knows when these products, especially routers and modems, will fail. I had one modem fail two months after the warranty expired with no extended warranty. Many of the factory warranties don't replace the item. Many just repair them. I trust Best Buy. This warranty is a swap: a failed item for a new item. Can't beat that for just $20.00.

I don't normally see the value in a lot of warranty plans because often the cost is close to half the cost of the item itself, but I never turn down the Geek Squad product replacement plans! I've covered multiple laptops, iPads, a phone, and two TV's. The service is impeccable, the guarantees are great, and the price is much lower than I assumed it'd be. The peace of mind is worth the investment!

I never buy protection plans because most things seem to outlive them, but sent my wife to pick up a $200 router for me and she decided to buy it... I gave her a hard time about it... Well, a year and a half later, I had to eat my words... As I walked out of the store this weekend with my free replacement router, she reminded me that she had bought the replacement plan... No hassles... In this case, I was wrong... she made a good decision and it paid off for us...

I like this replacement plan used it couple times before on some of my items of course its an extra pay but worth it. Was able to get a replacement when my stuff breaks down within the 2 year term no questions asked. I Always buy replacement plan when buying electronics. Get it if you can so you dont have to worry

I have made it a common practice to invest in additional coverage for all of my Best Buy purchases and services. Its not a bad deal at all to have your purchase replaced in the event of an unforeseen circumstance. The Geek Squad is effective and efficient in all that they do based on my long time association with Best Buy. In fact, I don't know what I'd do without them.

I love the Best Buy warranty. They make it easy so that if you dont have your receipt they can pull it by phone number. I usually buy the warranty on items over $100. I input the warranty date in my calendar and I check over my product a few months before to warranty is up to ensure I take advantage of the warranty if needed before it expires.

My security camera broke with protection plan got refunded with store credit as they don't have another to replace it is guess that's better than losing out. I recommend every one to purchase protection plans.

I have mostly chosen to accept the Geek Squad warranty because I have used it a few times and they always come through for me. Some say taking the extended warranty is a waste of money. I disagree. It has worked very well in my favor. The tech support is top notch. They do care about your problem.

I purchase the Geek squad warranty whenever I make large purchases. I haven't had to use their service yet but I would hat to not have made the Geek squad warranty purchase and have something break and not be able to get it fixed or replaced. Learned my lesson after a few painful and expensive experiences.

This extended warranty covers what the rental costs would have been from Comcast. The price if the modem and the extended warranty covers two years. The anything pasty has is a bonus and the best part is that they don't get my monthly rental money that I have been paying for 10 years for,

20 bucks for 2 years is nothing, especially when it comes to replacing the exact price you paid for the item. I've had to use my geek squad protection several times for different products, and i am glad i had it! No hassle. Just exchange it and you're back home without spending more money

Good thing I purchased this. I bought it b/c I was returning a router that didn't work correctly. I didn't get this one set up w/in 14 days, and when I did try it did not work at all. Had to return the item, and at least I had the protection and the store let me replace.

Had the Geek Squad come and setup my new Netgear router. Mike the technician, was extremely good at his job. In addition, he was friendly, courteous and informative about explaining how to use the product to its fullest.extent. Highly recommend this service to non-techies.

Bought this for a $200 item. Modem and router all in one so if one goes out you're well.... screwed. Plus it runs 24/7. That it's always on and a two in one I think a $20 plan for two years is worth it. Like I said I almost never buy a plan from any store.

The cashier told me when I bought my last modem that even a a modem from a well known manufacturer can go bad so I spent the $25 for a two year replacement warranty. Less than a year later it went bad and I got a free replacement!

The cost of replacing the new Cable Modem I purchased was high enough, with the cost of this insurance being low enough, that I considered it worth the cost to buy as well. I don't do this all the time, but in this case I did.
