I recommend getting the warranty/protection plan on your setup in case of any problems that your not at fault for. Its good to know best buy and geek squad has your back in case something breaks or should happen that you have not caused

With the energy system here in Puerto Rico being a 3rd class energy company I feel safe with the extended warranty because this Equipment is worth every penny of it.

Excellent amp. has a lot of features, especially "eARC" was something I did;t know about untill I set up the unit. Now I can surround movies from all stream services. I connected "DefTech" speakers and WOW......

I get store credit up to 4 years after purchase if the item stops working and I can spend the store credit on anything at Best Buy, it's a fantastic reassurance

I added the 4-Year Geek Squad Protection to my Yamaha receiver, and while I haven’t had to use it yet, I feel better knowing it’s there. For something like a home theater receiver—especially one with a lot of electronics, HDMI ports, and constant use—it just makes sense to have extra coverage beyond the standard warranty. If anything goes wrong down the road, I won’t be stuck paying out of pocket for repairs or replacement. The plan was easy to add at checkout, and everything is clearly documented, so there’s no confusion about what’s covered. From what I understand, Geek Squad handles repairs and, in some cases, replacement if the issue can’t be fixed. Pros: Peace of mind on a more expensive piece of equipment Coverage extends well beyond the manufacturer warranty Simple to purchase and manage through Best Buy Protection against potential long-term issues Cons: Haven’t needed to use it yet (so can’t speak to the claims process) Adds to the overall cost Bottom line: If you’re investing in a higher-end receiver, this protection plan is a smart add-on. Even though I haven’t used it, it’s one of those things you’re glad to have if something ever goes wrong.

I but protection for every product I purchase and more then once needed it and Best Buy products warranty was nice replacement and delivery and gift card because my product went down after three years and 11 1/2 months

This AV Reciever was a great buy. Bought it to replace an older Sony reciever. It's powerful with excellent sound and features.
