A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders - VINYL LP
    4.6(46)

The album Tribe Called Quest wanted to make from the very beginning. It's their most even, consistent album of the original trilogy that also includes People's Instinctive Travels... and the Low End Theory. But in spite of this, or maybe because of it, it's also their most uninteresting. With so many competent tracks, there's no chance for something to stand out above the pack, like InchScenarioInch did on Low End Theory or InchCan I Kick ItInch did on People's Instinctive Travels. The celebration is there (InchStir It UpInch), the jazz drums kick (InchOh My GodInch), and the stand-up bass dribbles, keeping perfect pace with Q-Tip's unmistakable mic-touch (InchElectric RelaxationInch). There's even a Native Tongues armistice/reunion with de la Soul (InchAwards TourInch). Although it comes together like a seamless tutorial in jazz hip-hop style, it comes together so damn well that it's hard for any one track to excel, cursing the album with consistent quality. Album Tracks 1. Midnight Marauders Tour Guide 2. Steve Biko (Stir It Up) 3. Award Tour 4. 8 Million Stories 5. Sucka Nigga 6. Midnight 7. We Can Get Down 8. Electric Relaxation 9. Clap Your Hands 10. Oh My God 11. Keep It Rollin' 12. Chase, Pt. 2 13. Lyrics to Go 14. God Lives Through

Mac Miller - Faces - VINYL LP

Triple yellow colored vinyl LP pressing. Mac Miller has accomplished every goal he ever set for himself. At least that's what the magazines say about the Pittsburgh kid, and they're right enough. With his first album he became a grassroots rap megastar. With his second he bared his weird soul and was praised for it. His 11 mixtapes boast a couple bucket lists' worth of collaborators, from Bun B and Kendrick Lamar to Rick Ross and Juicy J. And in the same year that he toured the U.S. backed by a psychedelic soul band, he rapped all over Europe with Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz. He did indie. He's doing major. He even bought himself a ridiculous house in the Los Angeles hills and made a TV show about it. Hell, he made a jazz record. Album Tracks 1. Inside Outside 2. Here We Go 3. Friends - Featuring - Schoolboy Q 4. Angel Dust - Featuring - King Ralph of Malibu 5. Malibu 6. What Do You Do - Featuring - Sir Michael Rocks 1. It Just Doesn't Matter 2. Therapy 3. Polo Jeans - Featuring - Ab-Soul, Earl Sweatshirt 4. Happy Birthday 5. Wedding 6. Funeral 1. Diablo 2. Ave Maria 3. 55 - Featuring - Thundercat 4. San Francisco 5. Colors and Shapes 6.
