About this product

Absolute Elsewhere is the brainchild of UK musician, songwriter, and producer Paul Fishman. Despite releasing only one record, there is a lot to say about the synthesized prog/symphonic rock outfit. In Search Of Ancient Gods is based on the works of the controversial Swiss author Erich von Däniken, in which he puts forth conspiracy theories regarding ancient astronauts visiting Earth and influencing early human culture. Via Erich's and a friend of his father, he ended up on the phone with King Crimson mastermind Robert Fripp discussing a The War of the Worlds-style musical interpretation of von Däniken's work. Unfortunately he couldn't make a collaboration work, but suggested that King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford might be interested in helping out. He was. What follows is a journey through state-of-the art recording techniques and musical instruments, various European recording studios, and of course space and time. The ambitious one-time experiment that was Absolute Elsewhere did turn out to be influential; Blood Incantation named their 2024 death metal-meets-krautrock hit record Absolute Elsewhere after the band and various songs from the album have been sampled by the biggest in modern hip hop such as J Dilla, Future, and Benny the Butcher. Now, for it's 50th anniversary, the cult classic has been fully remastered and remixed. InchProg done properInch, as Paul himself calls it. In Search Of Ancient Gods is available as a 50th anniversary edition of 500 numbered copies and includes a 16-page booklet featuring an essay by Erich von Däniken & updated liner notes by frontman Paul Fishman. Atreyu - Congregation Of The Damned - Limited Gatefold 180-Gram Gold Colored Vinyl - VINYL LP

Limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on gold coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. With their 2009 , Congregation of the Damned, the Southern California-based Metalcore quintet Atreyu blew all preconceptions out of the water, commanding us yet again to expect the unexpected. Not only is the record more like a well-crafted continuation of the minefield-strewn path they were on when they recorded 2006's A Death-Grip on Yesterday, it's filled with some of the band's darkest, most political material to date. Not only have Atreyu been fueled by their passion, they've been motivated by their determination to point out the ugliness they've witnessed all around them. Album Tracks 1. Stop! Before It's Too Late and We've Destroyed It All 2. Bleeding Is a Luxury 3. Congregation of the Damned 4. Coffin Nails 5. Black Days Begin 6. Gallows 7. Storm to Pass 8. You Were the King, Now You're Unconcious 9. Insatiable 10. So Wrong 11. Ravenous 12. Lonely 13. Wait for You

The Chimes - Chimes - Limited 180-Gram Gold Colored Vinyl - VINYL LP

Limited edition of 500 numbered copies on gold coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. The Chimes is the only studio album by the Scottish trio The Chimes. Spearheaded by the strong and soulful vocals of Pauline Henry, their style overlaps with acid jazz, R&B, house, and downtempo much in the vein of Soul II Soul and Brand New Heavies. It's no surprise then that for their second single Inch1-2-3Inch they teamed up with Soul II Soul's producers Jazzie B and Nellee Hooper, with great success. But it was their follow-up single InchI Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking ForInch, a contemporary gospel-tinged R&B remake of the song by U2, that thrust them into the spotlight. Their debut album was a minor hit in the UK and a college radio favourite in the US but the trio parted ways regardless to pursue solo careers. Album Tracks 1. Love So Tender 2. Heaven 3. True Love 4. 1-2-3 5. Underestimate 6. Love Comes to Mind 7. Don't Make Me Wait 8. Stronger Together 9. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking for 10. Stay
