I needed a new laptop and was shocked by the high prices of the brands I was familiar with when I started shopping. Saw the listing for this refurbished Acemagic, had never heard of the brand, but the price was so great I didn't immediately move on. Did some research online and found good reviews of the brand and their products. Still somewhat skeptical (price seemed too good to be true for the features -- twice the hard drive and RAM of any of my previous computers), but eventually figured I'd take a chance. Free delivery was very quick, securely packaged and arrived in good shape, and set-up was effortless. Appears brand new, no visible indication it's a refurbished unit. I've had the laptop for close to a month now, using it a lot every day, and, so far, I'm very pleased. It does everything I need it to do (granted, my computing needs are pretty basic) quickly and easily. The laptop itself is sleek, slim, and attractive. I am very pleased with my experience so far and have already recommended the brand to friends and family.

Decent laptop for its price! I like it’s big display, it runs Minecraft quite well on default settings and only lags a bit if I turn the rendering distance up to max. However, there are 3 major issues and 1 minor issue: 1. Though the display looks nice, it cannot dim very much, so it is quite bright at night. 2. The fans sounded like they were scraping a bit or hitting a foreign object inside the computer. Probably fixable, but I don’t want to mess with it without professional help. 3. The computer seems really slow doing basic tasks on the web, which makes absolutely no sense. As somebody who is used to MacOS, my first thought was to blame Windows for having bloat and whatnot. Surprisingly, Microsoft Edge ran better than both Firefox and Chrome but still super sluggish. Maybe web browsers take more processing to run than Minecraft after all? Or maybe the computer doesn’t have a slow CPU but has a problem with its network/Wi-Fi connectivity? Minor issue: I like the trackpad for its size and it’s feel when scrolling and moving the mouse, but the clicking is so rough and loud it sounds like cracking plastic! Overall: since it’s less than $200, I recommend this device as it’s hard to beat that price! I also tried dual booting Fedora Linux and that seems to run better than Windows, so that might be a good way to use it!

Works excellent straight out of the box. No issues so far, really good video quality.

Good value for basic home computing. Plenty of memory, both RAM and ROM. Refurb on this item represents a second inspection - which is reassuring for this item.

The laptop is actually pretty good. I had some issues but after switching to Linux everything works better. Good for office and basic PC needs.
