Entre dos tiempos brings a colorful and exciting concert to the stage that is intensified by the rhythmic and dance elements of baroque music from Latin America. Los Temperamentos, founded in 2009, embraces the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Under the direction of Colombian cellist and arranger Néstor Fabián Cortés Garzón, the ensemble specializes in rediscovering and resonating the relationships between the seemingly opposing worlds of baroque music in Latin America and Europe. In their thematically diverse programs, the artists blend different styles, composers and cultures, thus repeatedly demonstrating the liveliness and immense richness of colors of what is now simply called Inchearly musicInch. His third edition together with the Berliner Philharmoniker is dedicated to the Russian composer, the 150th anniversary of whose birth was celebrated in 2023. It presents four key works the Second Symphony, the Piano Concerto No. 2 and The Isle of the Dead - Rachmaninoff regularly performed them together until his emigration in 1917 - and the Symphonic Dances, which the composer wrote shortly before his death. Luca Guglielmi InchBach himself did not see the autograph manuscript as a 'definitive' version. He kept it as an 'open manuscript' on the rack of his harpsichord up to his death, using it as a 'textbook' for the lessons he gave to his students, never ceasing to insert a series of corrections, reworkings, improvements, small variants and even performance instructions. Bach's hands-on approach to his work in progress proves just how modern he actually was and remains. Through a truly 'holistic vision' we can embrace artistic parameters inherited from our 18th-century forebears a profound, venerable legacy that remains unknown to the ones who approach the musical art on 'scientific' methods based on calculation and measurement.
