I absolutely love this lens. It has not left my camera.

Very pleased with this lens. I had the 1.4G for a week and returned it for this one. At one third the cost, this lens is an tremendous value. Bokeh is wonderful and is extremely sharp wide open. Caution; large aperture lenses do not produce the same results on DX sensor bodies as they do on FX bodies. If you are shooting and of the FX bodies I would recommend this and all the 1.8G lenses. They are all 97% as good as the 1.4's. When I returned the 35mm 1.4G ($1,700) I bought the the 35mm 1.8G(FX), 60mm 2.8 micro and the 85mm 1.8G for the same $$. I am a happy camper!

An essential prime for any photographer. Sharp wide open, with only a slight increased sharpness in the corners stopped down. Great in low light. Put this lens in your kit!!

Very sharp, if you need detail in your photos, this lens is noticeably sharper than my 24-70 2.8 nikkor.

At close to $600 USD, it's not necessarily cheap like the 50mm f/1.8G ($220), but it is within reach. In my opinion, the MSRP would have been more reasonable at $499 instead of $599, just like the 85mm f/1.8G lens. That aside, it works as advertised and delivers good images, even in low light. If you like Nikon prime lenses, this is easily one of the best ones available now that won't break the bank.

Good lens, little on the expensive side. But sharp and light.

I use this lens on my Nikon D7000 and The Nikon D610. It is real sharp. It is my go to lens

I used this lens for 30 days before I decided to return it. The lens itself is a good, sharp lens, my problem was I kept comparing it to other lenses I have that did not cost as much and did not feel as plasticky. In the need I returned it and spend the money on another lens.

I bought this to complement my D750.Nikon. wasn't sure it was what I wanted but now can say it really is! Used for family and wedding photoshoots mostly, with fantastic results. Great focus, and amazing clarity. Recommended!

This lens is a great addition to your collection without a terrible price point. The images are super clear and the autofocus is very quick. If you already have the 50mm 1.8 then I would say this is the way to go. If not then I would get the 50mm 1.8 lens with a much lower cost first. This is a quality lens if you are looking for a 35mm specifically.

My son loves this lens due to it's characteristics. He loves certain portraits that he likes to shoot in dark with dim lighting ambience.

This FX 35mm prime is very nice. I was surprised at the sharpness, color saturation, and tonal depth you get from this lens. It's small and lightweight as well. Perfect walk around lens on full frame.

This lens was recommended by a Nikon Tech, over the 1.4, and I feel it's well worth the price. It's fast, bright, and compact. Beautiful Bokeh, clear photos, crisp images. Highly recommended

Not the top of the line, but still an awesome lens for the price
